The Keeper of Death

I follow him not because I want to. I follow him because he would not leave me alone. I follow him even though I know I am not allowed where he is taking me. Even though I just went to the heavens yesterday.  


"You might think that I don't care about you, like the rest of them but I do. I was there when it happened all those years ago."  


I listen to him quietly because I don't have anything to say. No matter what I say, he will not help me. He will not be on my side. He thinks this is a big mistake but I know better. I know that it will be worth it.  


"What is the point of this. I know you didn't want them to send me down, I know you wanted us to look for a way to fix things. This is different." he sighs as we walk down the halls. The light is bright and they might all think that I miss this place but it has never been for me. I have never felt like I belonged.
