The Keeper of Death

"Done,'' I hear the sounds travel into my ears and wake me up from the most beautiful slumber I have ever had in my life.  


I turn to her sprawled on the bed, and she is breathing softly. Last night was more than I ever imagined it to be. The fact that she still wanted me after all the lies and after the truth makes me the happiest man on earth.  


The fact that she is still alive and breathing the next day makes me even happier.  


I sit up on the bed and walk out of the room slowly, so as not to wake her up.  This morning is going to be different from all of the other mornings. I feel a lot of positive energy around me. I feel like for once in my life, I am actually going to win. This shouldn't be as easy as it is. Elix sent me a message.  


He said it is sorted out but I need to meet up with him in person and make sure things have been fixed.  


I walk into the soul room and I see him, seated on my chair with a smug expression on his face.
