"Where have you been?" Hillary questioned the moment she saw Serina emerging from the thick foliage and bushes. Her hands were on her hips, looking sternly at her friends like a mother scolding her child.
"I went to see the wolves." Serina answered nonchalantly. "By the way, there's a huge lake nearby and you guys can take a dip. I'll make us breakfast."
"Don't change the topic. I knew that you didn't come back last night. I was wide awake the whole evening."
Serina felt guilty about it but she didn't say anything anymore. Whatever she says might be taken against her.
"Stop scolding her. She knows this forest more than anyone else and didn't you see the wolf protecting her. She's loved by the animals inhabiting this place." Brigette stated while rubbing Hillary's back.
"Well, you are old enough to know what's right and wrong. You can perfectly protect yourself with that wolf."
