Invincible Evil Classy Villain

Why did things turn out this way?

Without being seen, Sebastian sighed, of disappointment and indignation at the same time.

Plan C failed.

It shouldn't.

But it did.

After he noticed the first signs of Odell's abnormality, he used his illusion to confuse his position.

In other words, none of the attacks made contact with him, because he was meters away hiding behind a cheap 'invisibility'.

Now, to get into the details of what [Eager Fabric (D)]'s capabilities are, it was a fact that Sebastian could only partially control the content of the illusion, even as its creator, the way he handles the ability was by guiding and not intervening.

However, when people shoot, they carry the hope of success. Basically, 'him' lying on the floor covered in red was the wish of them. That was why and how the illusion was created.

It had a high success rate.

And everything was going so well, until Jessica messed his plan up, again.

"What is this supposed to mean…"

Tedd was the first person who got surprised to see Sebastian alive, his body felt lighter and more relieved, but still, that did not stop him from being confused.

"Well, well…"

You're a villain, you're evil, you're invincible!

Sebastian self-hypnotized.

"As you can see, my initial is immortality. I can't die." Sebastian 'Invincible Evil Villain' Bercic replied impassively, with an almost unnoticeable smile.

Then thinking that it might not be enough explanation, he added:

"Not that straightforward though, it follows few rules, but impossible for you guys to kill me is a fact."

"You're lying." Odell kept a firm position.

"Explain what just happened then."

"...…."

Sebastian looked at him and he looked at Jessica.

She shook her head, as a way to say 'I don't know'.

Seeing this, Sebastian's heart was filled with hope again. Even with her unique ability to perceive mana, the woman hasn't understood the nature of [Eager Fabric (D)].

"You can't, right? Well, I'll give you guys a hint then."

Even the smile escaping from his mouth was now more sincere.

"It has to do with why I want to kill you folks so badly."

"And here goes another hint, since I'm a nice person. I'm not your landlord actually, you remember that green marionette? That was this kid's ability."

"Pretty rare, A-class, but not as rare as mine though."

'S-class!?' All four adults opened their eyes wide at what spontaneously occurred to them.

"And you know what was the best part? He was soooooooo weak. A Novitiate, no idea of what number, he died too quickly to remember. But it is truly such a nice ability."

"When did that happen?!"

Odell believed the lie, his voice was so cold that it gave the others goosebumps.

"Not your business."

Sebastian refused to answer, he won't forget the consequences of responding to this guy with immense imagination. He has to control what his thoughts are.

"Anyway, enough exploitations. Attack me, I'm still waiting," He provoked, maybe this way they will do the opposite: not attack and leave.

The Manifesters looked at each other, but no one did anything, they were still waiting for an indication from Odell. Who was... Oh! No! Don't start with-

"That guy, named Sebastian Bercic…" He began to narrate.

Shut up!

Sebastian wanted to stop wherever this conversation was leading, but then he remembered... what kind of villain interrupts when someone else is talking.

Not the classy kind, definitely.

Stay in character!

He said that to himself to wait to see what Odell is plotting.

"He lost his parents and sibling on the first portal event ever existed in this country. I knew it until later when I had a conversation with his uncle. And what he told me was that those three people that meant everything in his life became simply cold numbers for to the rest of the world."

Sebastian blinked his eyes in stupefaction.

Huh? Is this about me?

Me hearing my own biography?

"In the best epoch of his life, when someone of his age shouldn't worry about money, food, or roof, this teen lost all. But despite all that, he stayed positive. Even if he might be somber sometimes, a bit stingy, he's a nice guy."

Yoh! Are you calling me stingy!

Think well what you say, because your rent is going to go up!

No, wait, actually, I'll kick you out of my apartment when this is over, bastard.

"And you, inhuman bastard, decided to kill a defenseless young man who just recovered from the trauma, just out of greed? I've seen that none of your abilities are like the farm-produced ones, do they all used to belong to people? Is that what your ability is about? Taking over people's powers when you enter their dead bodies? And once you get it you get an extra life?"

"...….."

How are you this creative?

"By your expression, I might be right."

Yeah yeah, whatever you say, that's the script if you want so! Now fear me and run away.

"The marionette, the pan you summoned, the fireballs, how many other lives have you taken!"

"Do you remember what you ate last week for dinner?" Sebastian responded to the question with another question.

Odell halted for a few seconds, then his face was filled with anger.

"How dare you!"

"Yeah yah, enough of bla bla bla, if you won't attack I will."

With his heart beating like a pump, Sebastian acted more aggressively, to avoid them thinking that he's weak and end up choosing confrontation instead of running away.

He didn't reveal any weapon, or ability.

Without anything in hand, Sebastian walked slowly but with firm steps towards them.

"What do we do, Odell?" Jessica asked.

Her captain did not give an immediate answer, he was still thinking.

While Sebastian approaching.

"We-"

"Oh, did I tell you that I have this super cool ability to extinct vitality?"

"Let me show you."

Sebastian picked up a whole dandelion plant from the floor.

"Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!" Jokingly chanting a magic spell.

From far away, the group watched as the flower began to wilt. The green turning yellow, and the yellow turning brown.

"This flower is for you, mademoiselle."

In a blink, the teen was already in front of them, facing Jessica.

Holding out the dead flower branch.

"Don't touch him!" Willie pulled Jessica by the collar of her clothes.

Also immediately put his hand on the floor.

The initiation pose activated his ability, cracking a hole underneath where the teenager is standing.

But without mattering how wide was the opening, Sebastian did not fall. His body was suspended in the air.

"Oh, also, I can fly."

"Leave! I'll retain him!" Willie screamed to his colleagues. Stone spikes emerged from the edges of the hole to attack the human hovering in the center.

"Where are you aiming?" A voice came from behind, so close, almost whispering to his ears.

"Leave!" Willie shouted once again. Without turning around he redirected the spikes to prick behind him.

But Sebastian disappeared once again, it was a fruitless attack.

"What are you three waiting!" The brightness in Willie's eyes vanished the moment he saw that his three friends had not moved from the same spot.

"Something is odd," Odell said while grabbing the frightened Tedd not allowing him to separate from the group.

"He's lying!" Jessica got up off the floor, speaking with the excitement of solving a huge mystery, but also the anger of having been fooled.
