He's Back

Man, I really have to slow down my frequency of interacting with him. Not only that but that was way longer than I would have hoped.

My curiosity to see if he actually finished the job is quite papubal. However I can't even muster the strength to check, well I can technically. I'm just not in the mood to waste mana right now.

I'll know in due time. For now, I'll simply wait and see what happens. If all goes to plan this will be a bumpy but workable start.

I sit back, catching me is a chair that forms just before I sit. With a wave, a plate and wine appear on top of a table.

At least I've learned some deleqidible foods from these inhabitants.

I stand up started and jump back without thinking. My eyes start scanning the room fast but with purpose. My hands start to feel sweety and I think I may even be shaking.

This amount of voice being given off isn't that big in terms of overall strength but the fact that I can even feel it is terrifying. Who would be even capable of finding me?

"Ohh Persistence 7-17~ are you there ~?" A young girl's voice is heard vibrating in the huge void-like room I stand in.

Ha, so there really are this confident, are they? Well just by the force they're giving off I can see why.

Even so, there's no way they would even think about entering my domain. It must be some kind of trick.

But just as I try to reassure myself a bang is heard and a crack forms in the top of the black sky. No way are they trying to break in? With that, another bang is heard breaking a small spot in the ceiling.

"Oh great"

Ok, let's calm down even if they may be stronger than me Im still in my domain I have to think of something, fast.

Currently, I don't have an image of the intruder. The crash had created a cover hiding the intruder from their current location however If I take into account the speed they needed to be able to break it they should be roughly… There.

"Ok let's hope this works"

I make sure to get a running head start and force my legs to jump as high as possible. With this amount of speed, it should make it easier to gauge this situation.

In midair, I get closer to the ruble until I finally see glimpses of the intruder through it. It's now or never…

Im able to use the ruble to reach the rest of the way jumping off a few to gain more speed until I reach the intruder. Once they're fully in my sights, I start with a kick hitting them downwards.

Thankfully they didn't notice me and took the full force of the attack directly. They were now off balance and heading twicee the speed they were before… But just to make sure.

Once again using the rubble I find the closest one and use it to push myself downwards.

Ok time for step 2.

Just before the intruder hits the ground I use the ground lifting the spot directly where they would have laded making their landing that much harder.

With the momentum, they seemingly bounce off the ground, and thankfully once they reach their apex I've reached the ground and am able to jump up to reach them to hit them with once again another kick. This time hitting them forward.

Their body flies out of my vision in only a few seconds, however, that's most likely due to the complete darkness the farther you go in the domain.

Breathing calmly I await for a bang or anything really to indicate the intruder had hit something. Yet it stayed perfectly in silence. What on earth is going on? I didn't hit them that hard.

Silence…

That's… Eerie.

"Hey that was kinda fun"

They were right behind me… Maybe a foot or two? In any case, they somehow were able to not only survive a direct blow but end up behind me without even realizing it. Welp oh well it's over. Might as well entertain them.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it, I tried quite hard you see," I say without even bothering to turn around.

"Reallyyyy? Wow, thanks! Maybe we can do more things like that too!"

Her upbeat attitude and child-like mannerism must indicate she's some innocent girl. Hmm maybe in the future I might have to plan for something like this.

"Well anyways I'm not here for fun I gata some important stuff we need to talk about"

Her upbeat attitude still lay in her voice yet seeming much more serious than before and wait a minute did she say discuss?

"Did I miss hear you? Did you just say that you wanted to discuss something with me?"

"Well da and seeing how I'm here it would be nice if you at least looked at me"

What on earth is she on about? She could have killed me right there. Is she playing with me? In any case, I better play along.

I finally turned around to face the little girl to see If anything she resembled Akaries younger sister. However, this intruder would have to be a much younger version of her if that's the case.

"Great! Now we talk for a bit. The names Authority 0-20 or uh I prefer but its better to use a name you might already know." She says holding out a hand.

In return, I shake hers and ask a question.

"You don't happen to know anyone by the name Ren, do you?"

"Well of course I do and you must know her brother too right?" She looks a bit prideful as she says that."

Once we finally get the greetings over with we start to get to the meat of the discussion. Just for this situation, I decided to accommodate them with a seat of their own which they gracefully sat down in.

"So uh what am I like supposed to do?" She starts the conversation with.

I almost face paled at that but kept it together.

"It's simple really just keep your inhabitant safe and help with any wish they may have," I say struggling.

"Oh, gatcha"

After a few more basic questions I happily answer for her she asks one very important question.

"One last thing is there supposed to something that can communicate with Ren telepathically?"

"No no, nobody but you should have that ability, you see we actually block any kind of telepathic communication."

"Uhh, ok it's just this strange force has interacted with Re- the inhabitant already so I was just-"

I stand up breaking the wine I had been holding.

"Have you heard it?"

"The voice thingly? Hmmm. Nope, only Ren has."

"Oh, I see," I say as I sit back down.

Afterward were able to share our expenses with the thing I've named the anomaly. Authority seems to not have issues with it but throughout the discussion, I make it a point to reform it definitely is so.

We were finally able to come to common ground and after both our questions out of the way I was able to escort her out of my domain making sure to fix the big hole on her way out.

I really was not expecting a new "Quality" and even less so, to actually talk to one so new. And of course, their strength was also one of the biggest mysteries.

The most interesting of all the discussion was when Authority 0-20 mentioned the anomaly. What were the chances that she was the quality for Akari's sister, Ren? Even more, Ren had experienced the anomaly as well.

From what she told me it seemed Akari had much more experience with the anomaly than her as it only talked to Ren twice.

Of course, our discussion ended once we finished a way to deal with it.

"Cough. Well, I guess that will be for another day. It seems someone had been ese dropping. Sorry Mr. Anmilly "

"Why not check on what Akari is doing"

Speaking of, I'm actually quite curious myself. With a wave of my hand, the image of Akari appears in front of me. A field, some slimes, and of course Akari are all on screen.
