Again and again, my pen hits the paper in the class. I sit in my head barely still up from my hand holding it there. The teacher attempts to describe something about mathematical theory. However, I, Akari, Ren, or any middle scholar could pass this class without even attending.

So I don't. I sit and wait. Meanwhile, a student or two may attempt to ask a question or try and chat but neither our conversation nor their face gets remembered. Just another student, just another question.

Faceless people, baseless conversations again and again. A completely bleak outlook on academy life. This may seem a bit over dramatic and in some part that's true but then again not completely.

I need to retain the energy I'll need later when I venture out to the dungeon. To do this, spending it on useless things like wastefully talking to people or taking in obsolete information. This also extends to other implements.

Everything in this world has some type of mana inside it. Meaning I can alter whatever my eyes see just by manipulating the mana around it. The other projects I've used to subvert other people's perspectives are useful here.

I adjust the newly acquired glasses on my face.

To a normal person they just seem like normal glasses to help with sight. That assumption couldn't be farther from the truth.

For right now I have only been able to augment my color/focus. Most everything will be perfectly clear as long as I deem it important enough to be.

If I were to find any drawbacks to them it would be the reaction I have gotten from them. They just don't understand the brilliance of these things… That hasn't stopped me from thinking of some way to minimize the size of them.

Maybe some closer contact lenses that touch the eye directly?

Thinking about this I look up in class to see almost everyone leaving already and the teacher looking in my direction. I quickly get all my things and in a rush follow my fellow classmates.

It's only when I stand up do I find out there's something wrong. A student for some miraculous reason was standing right next to my desk. I only realize they are in my way when I bump into them causing both of us to stumble a bit.

She only stumbles a step or two before recollecting herself while I fail to accomplish any recovery and land right back on my desk harshly. I watch as the glasses of my face fall from the impact onto the ground.

Breaking them…

Welp, there goes test G-2.

"Hey watch it will- I mean oh my Celestia are you ok?" The student I had just bumped into asks.

I look up away from my broken experiment at the girl standing in front of me. Her arm outreached.

Pink hair. Her skin is pale implying a lack of outdoor activities. Maybe she's more extroverted with more indoor activities.

Her outfit wrecks my first impression of her. It's something most people here wouldn't have a problem with but I do. A step above the average uniform here. Her chest isn't that big, disappointing.

Her height seems higher than a normal woman's but still smaller than me. Overall 4/10 it just doesn't work.

I don't bother taking her hand. Simply mumbling something that could be I'm fine but not even I could understand it. I just swiftly get myself back up and leave my failed experiment on the ground. They are nothing more than just a glass and frame now.

"I'm sorry if I broke your, odd. Looking."

"Glasses" I finish her sentence for her.

"Right, your glasses! I can help you fix them if you want or give you the funds to get new ones."

Wow, look. Another rich kid that can fix whatever they want by throwing money at the problem. I don't want to deal with her.

And I won't. I walk right past her and leave the class. I listen as she stumbles over her words still left in the classroom.

It's also at this point of maybe a group of five students starts getting restless.

"Jade, what's taking you so long?" One of the girls asks.

By now I have left both the group and Miss Richness behind. I overhear some people speaking but by the time I turn the corner in the hallway, I totally lose any interest in them.

I am unable to forget about her for too long before I hear hurried footsteps come up from behind.

"You know you forgot your glasses right!?" I hear the annoying rich girl from behind.

I think it's time to stop this nonsense. Without explanation, the perfectly dry floor becomes just that much more wet. Little drops of water from the air and surface collect on a spot in the ground right in front of the rich girl's path.

Oh no, how unfortunate. Luck must not be on her side.

I watch the stupid entitled brat not see the wet and slippery floor. She fully puts all her pressure on her foot in the wet spot. Her balance easily fails her. She falls on the floor falling on her butt.

Well, that should be enough of her.

My eye twitches as in the corner of my eye I watch her get up and follow me once more.

Again and again, mysterious acts cause the Snobby Trust Fund to get into unfortunate situations. You know if there is one thing I've picked up from Akari it's his creative nicknames for people.

I watch her run into some students because of an unlevel floor tile. She gets lost in the way of classmates going through a tight hallway out of the way of any class I may be going to.

This game continues until I reach my dorm…

With a half-dead Entitled princess right behind me.

"You forgot, these." She says breathing heavily.

This absolute moronic trash of a human followed me all the way to my dorm. Classes are still going on but they still followed me. The alternate motive sickens me to the core. She needs to leave.

Inside my room is Kira and if there is anyone that I don't want to know that I'm not Akari it's her and Ren, well not yet anyway. For them, it's annoying to deal with. Too many explanations.

The girl in front of me is just another dumb drone walking around. Especially after Greater Servant gave the green light, I couldn't care.

I inspect the glasses she holds out to me. Like I thought by now they're trash. I do know how to fix them but I don't even want to. It would just be faster to work on a new design from scratch.

With a swift motion, I snatch them from her hands and break them in two, letting the remnants fall to the ground.

Jade's face contorts in disbelief. "Those were your glasses! Why would you break them?"

"I felt like it," I retorted, staring blankly at her.

She scoffs, her blue eyes twitching. "Do you know how much effort I took to give those to you?"

I smirk. "Nope, and I couldn't care. Did I ask you to get them for me?"

Jade takes a step closer. "Look, I was just trying to do a good deed. Why do you have such an attitude?!"

"I don't know why are you trying to be so nice to me. It wouldn't have to do with trying to get closer to my sister would it?"

Jade's expression shifts from disbelief to irritation, her attempt at feigning kindness clearly wearing thin. "You think you're so smart, don't you?"

"Well, I-" I don't get to finish my sarcastic reply.

She clenches her fists. "Listen, you little nobody. I can make your life hell within a second. You think people will side with you? The shut-in weirdo?"

The air around us grows heavy, the emotions so radiating that it's impossible not to feel the heat. Well, that could be a reason but another reason for the change in temperature is the ball of fire suddenly cast in my hand.

My hand inches away from Jade's chest I whisper "If you wouldn't mind I have some sleep I need to ketch up on."

"What, but I, I didn't hear you cast…" Jade says, stumbling back.

"Ya, ya just make sure not to tell anyone about it."

She swallows hard, her anger still present but overshadowed by genuine fear. "Fine, whatever. This isn't over."

With that, she turns and walks away, her steps faster than before…

I take a deep breath and turn around to my dorm room door. With a push of the door, it opens to my normally-looking room. Everything inside wouldn't look out of place for any student. There aren't even any evolved slime hybrids in here.

Well, that's of course until I walk in and deactivate the illusion spell circle causing it to look like that. In truth, it's quite barbaric how I managed to pull it off. Naturally, it's only an illusion so it only impairs your vision. You would still bump into anything that is actually there.

The room doesn't change too much. The size and shape are all kept the same. That also includes the bigger appliances like my bed and wardrobe. However, it's the things added to the room which are the important parts.

The counter is filled with trinkets and failed experiments. I'm not much a friend of magic circles so most of them are more tangible things. On the ground is a torn-up sword. One thing I've desperately been wanting is a sword that won't break on me so I thought it would be smart to make my own.

Progress is slow…

My sulking doesn't last long for I have an overly attached slime girl who wants attention. I don't even get the chance to fully walk into my room before she jumps on me in human form.

I'm unable to discern what form she feels most comfortable in or which one is the base that she has to transform out of. What I do know is that she prefers 99% to be in human form around me unless I tell her to do otherwise.

I have tried experimenting here and there but it seems she'll just do what she thinks I want her to do. How boring…

"Greetings Master! It seems like you came here early once again. You know you should be putting more work into staying in class right?"

My word she switches from a sweet attendant to an annoying mother just like that.

"Ah well, something came up you know? Like the idea of me lying in this bed." I say falling onto the bed."

If there is something I know Akari likes doing it's not doing anything.

"Master, what am I going to do if my overseer can't even stay in class all day?! What if you start failing? I mean you'll be fine for any physical work but that's beside the point! " She says playfully, shaking me.

I stay there limply getting shaken by Kira, my limp body flopping around as she lectures me.
