Under The Gun

Se-Ah POV

Monday came. I crawled out of bed at 7 am and stared at my face in the mirror. I smiled, frowned, ran my hands through my hair and then stuck my tongue out. Yep, It was gonna be one of those days. I jumped in the shower and got ready for the day. I put the sweater on and my new jeans and pulled my hair into a high ponytail. I wasn't one to wear lots of make-up, so I put on some eye-shadow and mascara and touched the blush to my cheeks. I was done.

I knew I was different from most that wanted to be in the entertainment business. I refused to be someone I wasn't and that made me have to work even harder to get what I wanted. I knew, look and personality wise, Sook-Ja had a better chance than me to make it. I hated it. She was such a fake person. Whether she was really good inside, I would never know. I didn't want to be around her, ever. She was unhealthy.

It was getting close to time for my appointment. I had found out, the manager was from JYP. That made me extremely excited and I secretly prayed that they wouldn't be there to rip me a hole in my minute ego. I knew what I did to Sook-Ja was controversial. The other people in the theater department had whispered around that I was intentionally trying to make her look bad. I swear, on everything I don't really believe in, that she did it to herself. I had written a good script and she just didn't play along. *shrugs*

Sook-Ja was standing outside the room for interviews. She smiled eerily as I walked up. "You are so going to get chewed out for the performance you gave. Mine was so much more emotional. They are going to offer me a role...I just know it." I nodded slowly and stepped past her, "You go." I gave her a sarcastic thumbs up. I stood a few feet away and waited my turn. She went in when called.

JIN-YOUNG POV

I sat waiting for the manager to tell me what was going on. J B and I had talked about the show and I decided it would be good for the group as a show and new album would come out about the same time. I was going to be very busy again but the group always helped me out when I needed them to.

The manager came in with the producer and director of the new show. They began with a power point. The name of the show was INTENTION. My character would be the male lead. He would be a police officer that had been suspended from the force. They were holding auditions today for the female lead. They wanted someone new. That made me happy too but I really hoped she would be good. The director of this movie was pretty strict when it came to to who he wanted, so I wasn't too worried that my co-partner would be crappy. Her role was a love interest and the one I was supposed to save from some crazy stalker/murderer.

I sat listening. This would be a very good 16 episode show. I was excited to get back in front of the camera. As much as I loved singing and dancing, acting held a different part of me. I signed my contract and waited for the first table read with all cast members.

Se-Ah POV

I sat across the table from a JYP manager and a JYP management person. They had slid a contract across the table towards me with a big smile on their face. I was unable to talk. I was so sure that they had disliked my acting. When I came out of the room, Sook-Ja was almost singing. "I got a part...I got a part...I got a part.." I was sure she had actually defeated me. I was livid inside and was going to tear the people inside a new hole, but I was so wrong and glad that I waited to open my mouth..

They said nothing when I entered. They just passed me the contract. The top stated that I would be the lead female in a show called INTENTION. Ok, so they liked me. I smiled widely and looked up at the two men before me. "What did I do right?" They chuckled and the manager, Mr. Kim, spoke first. " You had exactly what we were hunting for. That determination and fight to make sure you got what you wanted." The Management man, Mr. Lee, spoke next. " We watched as you had to make adjustment after adjustment from the girl you performed with. She kept changing but you stayed true to form and created a very interesting take on the material thrown at you."

I shook my head. "It wasn't supposed to go that way at all. But she insisted on doing things her way and I hated that she was trying to manipulate me. So I just winged it and that was the result. " Mr. Lee nodded. "You did very well. If you look at the log line and synopsis, the story should have elements of what you did in the exam. We were very impressed."

I bowed my head and thanked them both. "May I ask what else you are able to do as an actress? These things will help us understand you better and we would like you to sign as an entertainer at JYP." My eyes widened and I picked up the pen. "I have taken dance and singing lesson since the age of 5. I also know Taekwondo, I just recently received a black belt. I am willing to learn anything to become a better actress without losing who I am in the process." "That's good. Those are useful skills to have. I would love to hear you sing and watch your dance skills at the company one day." Mr. Lee stated.

I quickly looked through the contract for the show and was impressed with the deal. I signed my name on the last page and placed my seal beside it. ( A few classes on law really helped me understand these contracts.)Mr. Kim took the contract and also signed. "I will be your manager at the company. Let us work well together." I smiled and shook his outstretched hand. "Please take care of me."

I also signed a 5 year contract with JYP and finished the interview with both men. As Mr. Lee started to leave, I stopped him. "Mr. Lee, In Sook-Ja said she got a part in a show as well, may I ask if she signed with JYP and if she will be in INTENTION? He started laughing very hard. "She has not signed with us, we would never have her. But she does have a part in the show. She is a murder victim." He laughed even harder. I started laughing with him and we left the room. My day was simply perfect! I was an official actress with JYP.
