Leaving Janguri to her beloved partner, Lilith left to deal with the other bandits while Kevin prepared to fight his opponent. Janguri on the other hand, despite his natural aggressive attitude, was on the brink of laughter as he saw Kevin's materialization process.
As of this moment, two cat-like ears composed of lightning hovered above Kevin's head with both his feet and hands completely engulfed in lightning forming a claw-like shape. This was his very own technique he acquired after training with Klein in advanced materialization. As the name implied, his inspiration for this technique was a tiger he had fought along with Lilith on their way to this village.
"What the fuck is that? Hahahaha..."Janguri laughed while Kevin refused to give in to provocations. Instead, he gazed back at the boy who untied him, he wanted to be sure that he would be okay while he fought.
Nodding, he brought his gaze back to Janguri before saying "Laugh when you have won.".
"It is just going to end the same as last time," Janguri said confidently with a smirk.
Coincidentally after saying those words, a cloud of smoke from the burning buildings had obstructed his view of Kevin. Not wanting to lose sight of him, he stretched his arms out trying to use wind magic to blow away the smoke. As soon as the smoke was cleared, he was unexpectedly confronted by a lightning-covered fist that landed on his jaws, breaking them in the process.
"AAARGH!"Janguri howled in pain as he threw out a wind slash which moved through the air, not hitting anything as it continued.
'He is gone?' Janguri inwardly thought before another fist came crashing from his side hitting his face.
The impact from the punch caused him to stumble, but he quickly regained his balance. Using his left leg as a pivot, he swang his other into Kevin's direction, yet just like his last attempt, he hit nothing but empty air.
"Cannot catch up, can you?"Kevin asked as he descended from above, driving his foot into Janguri's face accruing blood.
After receiving a good number of blows, he concluded that Kevin's form was not for modeling or stripping. Just like an actual tiger, this form concentrated solely on speed.
' I need to back away!' Janguri planned. Contrary to what he expected, as soon as he jumped back, his arm was grabbed by Kevin who then delivered a frightening blow to his chest.
Crack! Upon impact, Kevin could feel a bone crack as he continued to drill his fist into Janguri's chest which caused him to fly away.
"I thought you said it was going to be the same as last time?"Kevin mocked as he drew nearer.
Cough! Cough! Coughing up a good amount of blood, Janguri slowly stood up as he tightly held his chest. With a rib broken, his agility has now been greatly reduced, and the fact that he was a wind user makes it all the better.
"When this fight gets started..... then come and talk big," Janguri said wiping away some blood away which trickled down his mouth.
[Deviant element: Leach]
Activating his deviant element, an intangible green dorm formed around Janguri, it kept expanding refusing to cease its growth.
"Tsk! That annoying deviant element!" Kevin hissed as he backed away.
Seeing Kevin's annoyed expression, Janguri could not help but weave a smile on his face, believing his victory was assured. The dome kept expanding until it was about five meters long. With a devious smirk, Janguri walked towards Kevin with the dome moving along with him. Fortunately, if Kevin had not broken a rib, then Janguri would be chasing him through the village.
'Crap! The boy is still behind me.'Kevin cursed looking at the boy behind him. If he were to back any further, then the boy would get caught in the dome.
Heaving a sigh, the lightning around him began to take shape resembling a tiger. Using magic materialization to form a tiger, he stretched out his hand signaling it to charge toward Janguri.
"Futile!" Janguri insulted throwing out a wind blade. The attack took him by surprise, but it was nothing he could not counter.
He then lifted his head to glance at Kevin, when he was unexpectedly met with a fist that crashed into his face breaking his nose. Kevin was about to initiate a second attack but retreated as he felt the effects of the dome.
"You fucker!" Janguri was insulted as blood dripped from his nose.
'This is not gonna work! His dome sucks all energy from the body of living things, how am I going t-' Kevin thought about his next plan of attack when he remembered the mysterious power of his tattoo. Nodding in satisfaction, he decided on his next course of action.
"I am so going to regret this!" Kevin muttered as he dashed inside the dome.
"Do you have a death wish?"Janguri shouted as he encased his arm in the wind. He threw a jab toward Kevin, hoping to break his jaw.
Fully expecting the attack, Kevin hopped to the side and proceeded to materialize a lightning tiger right in front of Janguri's eyes.
"Crap!"He cursed out! Knowing full well he could not dodge, he closed his eyes preparing for impact.
"AAARGH!" He moaned in pain, as he was violently electrocuted until his black hair stood up.
Tap! Not having any energy to fight back at the moment, he watched as Kevin placed his hand on his chest. Seeing this he could not help but smirk, after all, his dome would suck away Kevin's energy, transferring it to him and healing him in the process.
"Please work!"Kevin pleaded, wanting the tattoo to light up. However, betraying his expectations, he could only feel his energy being drained.
"Hahahaha! You are incredibly dumb." Janguri was insulted as he watched Kevin crumble to his knees while still holding his chest. Suddenly black lines crawled over his body, leaving a weird feeling.
Looking at Kevin below him who was smirking, he came to a realization. Both of them were draining each other's energy at the same time!
"Now... this is a battle of who drains faster!"Kevin yelled as lightning flickered around his hand, once again violently shocking Janguri.
"AAAAAA..."He cried in agony. Realizing that he was at a disadvantage, Janguri backed away, deactivating his deviant element in the process. It was too risky to use when Kevin could just play the draining game. To his utmost surprise, Kevin had changed the tides of the battle.
"Where do you think you are going?"Kevin yelled as he immediately charged toward Janguri.
"Back the fuck away!" Janguri shouted as he stretched his arms forward. Utilizing his materialization technique, he formed a barrier in front of him, which Kevin could not pass through.
Pulling his fist back, Kevin thrust his arm towards the barrier hoping to destroy it.
Crack! To his utter dismay, he could feel his knuckle sightly crack and due to him being distracted, he did not notice the wind slash which hit him dead in the chest causing his blood to ooze out.
"Fucking moron! You can never break it, however, I can still hit you!" Janguri said as he threw another wind attack.
"Hmph, I will. be the one to determine that!" Kevin announced as he dodged, then took a deep breath.
Using his tiger form to the best of his abilities, he repeatedly struck the barrier at high speed. Sacrificing his fist, he continuously struck to the point that not even Janguri could see his fist anymore. It was all a blur.
"Did I no-" Janguri was about to lay out another insult before he realized sometimes.'My barrier, he is hitting it faster than it can gather air to reform itself, at this rat-'
"AAAAAA...."Kevin shouted as threw a barrage of punches, finally getting through.
"I-Impossible!" Janguri said as Kevin tightly clenched his fist, engulfing his right hand with all his remaining mana.
"Looks like you lose!" Kevin announced as he slammed his fist into Janguri's face, who in turn fell to the ground, forming a crater upon his fall.
