Chapter 7

After a whole week the two rings, and was finally done.

The wait was killing all parties, Hailan because she wanted to know what the price for the 2 wands would be, Adrian because He wanted to see his son perform his first real magic before he went to Fenghuang, and lastly jack for the simple reason of performing real magic.

So all of them were relieved once they received an owl with a message from the wandmaker saying they could come and pick up the Staff and ring.

This time once they passed the floo network, Jack didn't have a full-on Attack, merely coughing a bit then getting over it as he was prepared for the smoke.

"Finally Dear, how do you think the loafing man did," Adrian asked with curiosity plastered all over his face.

"He makes better wands than the 4 wandmakers in north America thats for sure".

"Impossible, Johannes Jonker makes some of the best wands in the world, he made mine, in fact, ill bet a galleon that Johannes's wands are better" Adrian smiled confidently to which both jack and Hailan just shook their heads.

Once in the store, they once again laid their eyes upon a man who this time was full-on snoring and drooling over the paper on the desk.

After a minute Adrian just walks over and nudges the wandmaker, which had no after so he nudged a little harder which also had no effect….

Smack.

The crisp sound of a smack filled the room waking, ending up with the wandmaker waking up in a fright and in pain.

After looking around to find the perpetrator, he saw that it was the Family that requested the single hardest staff ever he was super happy "sorry about that, making a custom usually takes a week let alone 2 very very very very hard customs" He said while motioning them to come into the back "So as you can obviously see it took a toll on my old bones".

"Old Bones, your not even 60" Adrian replied to the obvious fishing for sympathy.

"ah details, Anyway let's get to the reveal shall we" He added once he got to the table that jack picked the materials "First we will start with the ring".

He slowly pulled out a dark brown box with golden vines weaved into it, after he put it on the table he turned it so it was facing jack ofter some waiting for dramatic effect he opened it.

It was a pink wooden ring with Deep red, and golden weaving lines snaking across the ring, and it's called to jack in an oscillating way making Jack instantly reach for it and put it on his ring finger.

A deep golden light shined through seemingly from nowhere, while the dust on the many thousands of wands near them puffed off away from the family.

"Ohh that's a good sign very good sign, tell me how do you feel," The wandmaker asked in a very quick manner.

"Kinda Warm, like sitting near a fireplace, like a- like a hug," Jack said while looking at the ring in a flabbergasted way, his hair seemed to flutter while there was no wind but stopped when the light disappeared.

"Try saying Lumos LOO-mos".

"Lumos" in an instant a blinding light poured out of Jacks ring forcing everyone to shield their eyes including jack, As jack couldn't control his magic he just had to wait for it to stop a couple of seconds later.

"if that's the reaction from a ring then what would be the reaction of a staff, Jack as you will learn in Fenghuang there are multiple areas of magic most of them can be divided into offensive spells, defensive ones, and ones that do neither or at the least the purpose is neither," The wandmaker said while walking to back to the other side of the table "Another thing that you will learn is that rings are Horrible and I mean horrible for most spells as they weren't really meant to be conduits for magical power like wands but things that made the wielder more powerful; that obviously didn't work and they just found a very crude wand".

"You see with wands it doesn't matter if I or any wandmaker in the whole world put their whole being into making a wand without a core the result will be the same every time nothing but a fancy stick" The wandmaker added "but with a core, the magic really happens literally and figuratively, and because staffs require full cores instead of wands partial cores, they are way more potent, that's not to say all is good because it's not, they are unwieldy, require large amounts of magic, and most of all are the pickiest things ever made".

"Which is why I must precaution you as to not overuse the ring or staff I made for different reasons, do you understand," the wandmaker asked to which Jack just nodded.

"Great without further ado I present you," The Wandmaker said while bending down "The Grandstaff Maelstrom".

Bang.

the sound of the wandmaker taping the staff on the stone resounded through the entire magical and non-magical forbidden city making everyone hear what they thought to be a giant bell ringing, without seeing one.

The staff itself was an 80-inch staff that was White with highlights of black, around the top center and bottom of the staff was a ring of black scourge metal, and at the very top surrounded but the wood was a heart-shaped stone that was mostly a darker blue that looked like a galaxy with vibrant reds, oranges, and light blues.

After the sound faded away Jack made his trembling hand towards the staff, after wrapping his hands around the staff a formless pressure instantly engulfed not just the forbidden city but the majority of Beijing, crushing the roofs of stores near Carpin Carpenters while making people in the Palace Museum near the forbidden city where a Court meeting was taking place feel fearful and oppressed by the pressure.

***.

Bang.

The doors were once again brutally opened by the same internal minister as last time.

"What now," The emperor said with the memory of jack taming the thunderbird still fresh in his memory.

"Your majesty, Your majesty, he's done it again" the man screamed furiously "this time his bond with his staff left 35 roofs crushed into shreds and hundreds of windows shattered".

"Oh my god, What kind of wand does the boy have" a minister from the left shouted.

"According to the records given from Carpin Carpenters, it's an 80-inch staff, with Ash, Aspen, Blackthorne, Cherry, Elder, and Black Scurge metal Make while the cores are Dementor bone, Thesral wing, Sweetish short-snout Heartstring, Asian Thunderbird essence, and Unicorn Heart Core, because of the conflicting cores and woods and because of the amount of power generated a center of power was required and A Full Dragon Heart Opal Stone was used" another minister from the right replied to the question.

"What the hell are they thinking, making a wand isn't some sort of game, you can't just throw shit in a pile and call it a day, that wand won't even work" the minister on the left of the room shouted back.

"Enough, the mere fact that the bonding created such damage means that Carpin Carpenters, wandmaker Guo lives up to his reputation in the creation of such a diverse staff and that jack lives up to the mantle that he will have to take" The emperor yelled instantly shutting up the man who thought the wand wouldn't work "additionally send in the Aurors to Oblivate the Muggles, and repair anything damaged".

Crack.

Once the emperor apparated out and into his chambers he once again called out.

"Zheng Men".

"Here, Your Imperial Majesty".

"Make sure that all times outside of The school grounds 30 Aurors of at least 20 years experience surround him, additionally if he goes on any school field trips the headmaster will accompany them and will personally make sure that Jack is safe also sent 100 Aurors to Fenghuang to heighten the security".

"It will be done".
