First Major Battle

As soon as Jura set me down, everyone started screaming at the top of their lungs. One moment they're cheering, the next they're screaming like it's the end of the world. Take a chill pill. Decide whether you want to scream or cheer. Sheesh!

Kianna walked to the other side of the bar and grabbed a glass from the fridge. She slid it across the counter to me. I pushed it back and she looked at me curiously. I pointed at the cloak and she nodded.

These past couple of weeks she and I were getting pretty close. You could even say that we were almost sisters. We were that close. Besides, it felt nice talking to a female without the guild being torn up every couple of hours.

I walked upstairs to the guild master's room and hung up the coat I got from Zeref. I didn't want to put away the teddy bear, but knowing those people downstairs, better safe than sorry. If you know what I mean. Wink wink.

I was about to walk back out when I remembered my clothing choice. I requipped into the spare clothes I had brought with me: a matching white skirt and shirt, and a red jacket. I tied the jacket around my waist before grabbing my favorite red katana off the wall where I last left it.

I walked back downstairs and I swear, I heard a whistle from a certain stingy bee. I sat back down on the barstool and sipped from my smoothie. I laid down on the counter, sighing. Kianna patted my head as if to comfort me.

"What about your quests? You didn't do any yet," she said.

I sat up quickly and looked at her with wide eyes. "Please tell me you're joking."

The look on her face said that she wasn't. I turned towards Jura with a panicked look on my face.

"How long do we have until we have to meet up for the mission?"

He turned towards me and thought for a second before answering. "3 hours. Why?"

I sighed in relief. Kianna raised an eyebrow.

"You should have enough time if you start now," she said, getting out the logbook.

"Sunny, Ai, Winter." As soon as those words were uttered, three girls appeared.

Winter had just come back from her previous mission. She was the one cleaning up the "pests" from before.

Everyone's jaws dropped and I giggled. Sirius did look so kawaii all flustered up like that though. Wait, bad thoughts!

"You might want to close those mouths unless you're trying to catch flies," Winter said in a cold tone.

Everyone's mouth closed and they all saluted like in sync. I was about to burst out into laughter until I remember two mages who did that whenever a certain red-haired girl threatened them. My smile faded away but I turned towards the 3 girls.

"Can you take care of all the S-class missions in 3 hours?" I asked, playing with my thumbs.

I felt bad asking them to do things like this. I knew that had more important things to attend to but... I guess it was a me problem this time, not being able to manage my time well.

"If you let us teleport, give us 15 minutes. No more," Airi said, walking down the stairs holding all the S-class mission papers. When did she-? Never mind, I'm not going to question it.

Sunny looked at the papers and grabbed 3 of them and ran off. Airi's eyes widened as she turned around in an attempt to grab Sunny.

"Sunny! Don't you dare take that one! Come back!" she shouted, waving her fist at her.

Winter only raised an eyebrow before disappearing, only to come back with Sunny. She took the mission papers from Sunny and sighed.

"Not again, Sunny," Winter scolded. "No more volcanos."

I froze. I looked at Sunny, ticked off. She looked at me and laughed nervously.

"Well, I'm off," she said, running. Correction, trying to run. Winter may look like a little naive girl, but she has the title of Ice Queen and Cold Huntress for a reason. She never lets her prey escape.

"SUNNY!" the FairyTail members yelled. I sighed as Blue Pegasus, Sabertooth, and Lamia Scale looked at us confused. We all took turns telling them what happened; I chugged the rest of my drink amused. The look on their faces was priceless!

Winter, Sunny, and Airi left a couple of minutes later. That's when the serious talk started.

"Since we're all here, I think we should talk about the mission," Minerva said, ruining the mood in the guild. It was for the best. Any longer and we would've lost a couple of guild members to laughter.

"Minerva-dono is right," Jura said, nodding. "Let's start."

Everyone looked at each other, waiting for a conversation starter. I clapped my hands together, making everyone look at me.

"Okay. Let's start off with our participants. Who's joining from each guild?" I said, crossing my legs. "Please say your name and guild out loud please!"

"Minerva Orlando, Sirius Eucliffe, Sting Eucliffe, and Rouge Cheney from Sabertooth," Sting yelled. I suppressed a grin when I saw his partner and his brother wince from the pain... and they beat him up.

"Jura, Chelia, Sherry, and Lyon from Lamia Scale," Jura boomed, earning cheers from his guild.

"Ichiya and the Trimen. Men!" Ichiya said, walking towards me.

I flinched and quickly wrote runes on the floor. The rules? Anyone outside the runes with the name Ichiya was not allowed in.

"From Fairytail..." Macao said, scratching his head hesitantly.

"Rosalia White. FairyTail," I said, interrupting him. He looked at me in surprise.

"A-are you sure?" Romeo asked, walking past Ichiya who was still trying to get past the runes.

I ruffled his hair and grinned. "I'm confident. But I might have to leave someone-"

"NO!" everyone yelled. I winced and pointed to my ears.

"NO!" everyone yelled again, but softer. I sighed.

"It's not even going to take up that much magic from her anyways. It's better Loke than us. If she lets one of us stay here, she's going to lose an ability," a voice from the door said.

"Welcome back, Winter," I said, nodding. She only nodded back before handing over a giant stack to Kianna.

Minutes later, Sunny and Airi came back as well. Soon, everyone but FairyTail members left the guild to prepare for the upcoming battle.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was standing on a cliff edge near the meeting site, the wind blowing my hair. This reminds me of that time a month ago. Standing on a cliff edge, talking with one of my best friends. Before... that happened. Tears started slipping out of my eyes and I fell onto my knees and I cried my heart out. Every tear I had been saving up this past month went flowing out. I probably cried for 10 minutes when I heard someone enter the building behind me. I wiped my tears and forced a smile onto my face.

"We're first!" someone yelled from inside.

I walked in and stretched. "You're second, Stiny bee."

He spun around and saw me. He scowled.

"Well, I didn't see you-"

"That's enough, Sting."

We both turned to face the voice for different reasons. Sting was trembling and I... was eager to hear that voice again. Wait, I mean not eager! Gah, what's wrong with me?!

"Sorry about my idiotic brother," Sirius said walking up to me, leaving Rogue and Minerva to work things out with Sting.

"I-it's fine," I said, looking down at the ground. My face was flushed. Oh my god, he's so close to me. He could probably hear my heartbeat; I could hear his. And it was racing. He leaned in, his mouth near my ear.

"Let's go out for lunch after this mission, okay? My beautiful Rose," he purred.

I think I was blushing so hard but I wasn't really paying attention to them until Sirius shouted something. His face could definitely put Erza's hair to shame. I wonder what happened...

The front door swung open to reveal the rest of the guilds coming in. I tapped my foot and look at them in amusement.

"What happened to you guys? You're late," I joked. Chelia rolled her eyes and gave me a friendly punch.

"Okay, enough joking," Hibiki said. He pulled out a map using his magic. "We just scouted the area. Looks like there are about 100 thousand mages in front of us."

I looked at their map and pointed at the cliff. "We could try entering from there. I was looking over there earlier and they didn't seem to notice me."

"We could probably jump down there and try to break through," Jura said.

"Wouldn't we just waste all our magic if we all went in?" Minerva said as everyone turned towards her. "Sure, we might wipe them out faster, but there's no backup. Once we're out, it's game over."

"How about two waves?" Everyone turned towards the quiet Shadow Dragon Slayer. "The first group goes in. Once 75% of their magic is gone, they switch out with group 2 and we keep going like that."

"We might want to start moving now before they get any closer, men!" Ichiya said, striking a pose.

"Blue Pegasus and Lamia Scale are group one. Sabertooth and I are group two. Let's go," I turned on my heel to the cliff. Everyone followed behind me, only to say that they "suddenly had a fear of heights."I groaned and pushed everyone off the edge to have them land on Ares's wool bomb.

Everyone went into their positions.

"Everyone ready?" I whispered.

They all nodded. I pointed my finger up and fired off a firework into the sky. Then... the battle began. I have to admit, Blue Pegasus and Lamia Scale went on for quite a long time. 3 hours before the first switch. As they retreated to rest, Sabertooth and I went into action. Minerva and I ended up back to back a little while later.

"Hey," I said, slightly panting.

She smirked at me before attacking an enemy. "Tired?"

"Like you aren't."

She chuckled and we wiped out the group surrounding us. We collapsed onto our knees as we took a quick break. I put a hand on her shoulder and transferred her some magic.

"Can you buy me 4 minutes?"

She looked at me in surprise before nodding. I put aside the katana and stood up. I put my hands into a sort of praying position, except that my fingers were intertwined. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.

I opened my eyes, my ruby eyes changing to an onyx color. I unsheathed my katana and began fighting, still singing. Soon, I attracted the attention of the enemies, who swarmed me. It was getting harder and harder to sing with so many people around.

A flash of purple appeared in front of me and I felt someone pressing their back against mine. Even though they could've been an enemy, I leaned against that person.

"Thank you, Sirius."

Sirius looked at me in surprise before turning back to help me fight. As soon as the last word was uttered, I fell onto my knees. He quickly hit down the last enemy and ran over to me.

"3 percent release," I muttered.

Everyone all over the battlefield could feel a tremendous amount of power get released. Many enemies took off running, giving Magnolia's forces a chance to breathe.

I never thought I would actually have to release another 3 percent. I guess keeping Loke and Gemini up at FairyTail Halls was starting to have an effect. Someone pulled me into a hug. Seeing how there was no one else around, I guessed it was Sirius.

"Thanks," I mumbled.

"You scared me, Rose," he said, flicking my forehead.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say, you sexy boy."

My face flushed as I realized what I said. I clamped a hand over my mouth. Sirius looked at me with a devilish grin. I backed away from him but hit the cliff. Dang, it.

He put a hand next to my head; with his other hand, he grabbed my chin and forced me to look into his dark blue eyes. I could get lost in them forever. Could. If he didn't snap out of it with his words.

"Sexy? If you think I'm sexy, you should see me with no shirt on. Or better yet, no clothes," he whispered in my ear.

"N-no clothes?" I stammered, my hands on his chest in an attempt to put some space between us.

"Wouldn't you like to see that?" he started licking my neck.

I shivered as his licks sent shocks down my spine. My legs were feeling like jelly.

"Sirius! Rose! We did it!" Minerva yelled, running over to us.

A shadow, no two, moved behind her and shot magic at her from both her left and right. I pushed Sirius off me. I couldn't let anyone get hurt again.

No one was going to get hurt like that again. Not in front of me.

It was like the world around me had slowed down as I ran towards her.

What if I didn't make it in time? No, I had to.

I pushed Minerva out of the way and got hit by the two magic blasts. Let me tell you, it hurt. Badly.

I collapsed right on top of Minerva. Her eyes widened as she started crying.

"No, no, no. Get up. You'll be okay. Please tell me you're okay?!" she sobbed.

I put my hand on her face and looked for injuries, even though moving was hard for me. A strong hand from behind me gently rolled me off, Minerva. I hissed as my side hit the ground.

"Oh my gosh. Rose! Are you okay? Chelia! Chelia!" he yelled.

I felt something wet hit my face. Tears. I moved my hand up to his cheek and wiped them off.

"I'm fine," I tried getting up but ended up coughing out something red.

"Oh my god. Blood. You are not okay! Why would you do that?!," Minerva screamed.

"Because you're my friend, MinMin, even if you don't consider me yours," I said coughing out more blood. Wait, blood. My face went white and my vision went black. The last thing I saw was a flash of pink hair... Chelia.
