The cruise would last for a while which couldn't be helped. He decided to spend all of his time training with Machoke. He would arrive at Vermillion city in about 3 days. After that, he would head back up north and challenge the gym there. He estimated that it would take around 2 days of travel. After the gym, he would head east towards Celedon which would take another 2 days of travel. That would probably be enough to evolve Machoke.

Since the plan was made, he no longer bothered about anything else and started his aura training. He would take breaks to message Elesa from time to time and chat. They decided to meet in Fuchsia city since Elesa would go through Seafoam islands before heading north. Rex would head there after Celedon city. He needed to pick up the steel he bought which would be very convenient for going against Koga and his poison types.

The days went by quickly. He would spend the morning eating his breakfast on the balcony as he looked into the infinite expanse of water.

"Such a massive world full of mysteries and Pokémon that haven't been explored. Legends, legacy Pokémon, hidden Pokémon masters. I will uncover them all one day. And in the process, I will carve my name into the annals of history as the strongest trainer to ever live. You will accompany me the whole way right Machoke?" he said as he turned his head towards Machoke who was sitting on a chair drinking juice with shades on.

{Naturally, we're in this together. Wherever you go I'll follow. Let's see how many challenges this world can throw at us,} he said with a chuckle. Rex also laughed at his words and appearance.

"yes, we will have a lot of challenges. I'm eager to see how we overcome them. Let's build a legacy together." He said before getting up. And heading inside. Machoke thought about his words for a few minutes as he stared at the open ocean with nothing else in sight. He smiled slightly before nodding and following after Rex.

The afternoon was spent training before watching a movie. The theatre provided massive space for Pokémon to enjoy as well, which was convenient for Rex. All of his Pokemon came out to enjoy the movie. It starred Diantha from Kalos. And was about a spy who betrayed her organisation and was on the run. It was an enjoyable movie.

Afterwards, when all the people left Rex stayed behind and took the opportunity to tell his Pokémon stories as he did before. He thought about which stories to tell before finally deciding to plagiarise the smurfs. His Pokémon laughed at the different characters and their attitudes which brought on a joyful atmosphere to the empty theatre. He then followed it up with the justice league and all their individual origin stories.

Marshadow seemed to like batman because of his hand-to-hand combat. Scyther liked batman too but because of his aloof personality which made Rex laugh. Machoke liked Superman since he was the most powerful. Arcanine loved Captain marvel. Rex wasn't surprised since it fit completely. Arcanine looked mature but was actually a kid. Gyarados loved Aqua man which was no surprise. Lord of the ocean, it fit perfectly. Onix liked Cyborg which Rex found odd.

But he suddenly got a crazy idea. It was insane. But he wanted to know if it would work. He shared his idea with the system which approved and began to analyse the relevant data to see if it was theoretically possible. It said it would need a couple of days before it could give him an answer. Rex didn't mind since there was no rush. After finishing with his stories, he headed back to his room and repeated the same cycle for the next three days. There were only a few hours remaining before they would reach the city.

Rex was looking forward to it since he wanted to progress with the gym challenge. He also got back the results from the system which completely shocked him. He decided it was completely worth doing and therefore made the relevant preparations.

*Ring* *Ring* *Ring*

"Hello? Oh! Rex, how's it going?" asked Oak in a surprised tone.

"good professor, I wanted to talk to you about something. Well, more of a request. I was wondering if you could get me a KilngKlang. I know it sounds bizarre and out of the blue but if you could do me this favour, I would appreciate it."

"A Kilngklang you say. Although I have no idea what you would need with one of them, I have no problem with contacting a friend of mine in Unova and procuring one for you. When would you need it by?" he asked.

"As soon as possible," he answered.

"Ok, no worries, I should have it by the end of the week. I'll send it over to you, I'll call when I have it ready," he said.

"Great, thank you, professor," he said before ending the call.

"*Sigh* ok, now I just need to wait for the metal and the Klingklang to arrive before I start my experiment. I'm excited just thinking about it." He said with a smile as he looked out his balcony towards the landmass that was getting bigger and bigger.

It wasn't much longer when they finally arrived, and Rex didn't hesitate to rush out. He was in a great mood and didn't feel like waiting another night to get going and decided to head towards Saffron city immediately.
