44. Dinner Invitation

Anyway, she didn't have any plan to supervise him directly.

"Right, it'll be quite late if you go home directly. How about having dinner with us?"

"Dinner?" Ann was stunned. She looked at Julie with an apprehensive gaze as she felt that this woman was the type to trust people so easily. Or it might be because she wanted to try to probing deeper by inviting her for a dinner.

Should she accept?

"Davis Family might be worried if I don't go home soon."

"Don't worry, I can give them a call." Julie grinned. She looked at Ann with a somewhat pleading expression that made her look a bit pitiful and cute. This type of expression made one feel that it was hard to reject her request.

Ann thought for a moment before shaking her head. "That wouldn't be necessary."

If the Davis Family knew that she was getting closer to Sall Family, they might make a big ruckus about it. In fact, they might not be able to accept having her get close to Sall Family when their own daughter, Celeste, couldn't.

But of course, Ann would not say this matter out loud.

"We'll have an early dinner then." Julie stood up. "That way, you can have another dinner when you get back. Don't worry, I'll ask the chef to prepare some light dishes for you."

Since Julie had already said that much, Ann didn't see any reason to refuse. If she refused more, it would only seem that she didn't appreciate them or she was impolite.

"Okay, I'll be troubling you, Miss Julie."

"It's no trouble at all." Julie grinned. She then turned her attention to Zach, who was still sitting at the side comfortably. "Mr. Hein, do you want to eat with us?"

In fact, she was not expecting Zach to answer her question. After so much time knowing Julius and Zach, she knew that Zach was not the type of person to eat in somebody else home. He would rather go back home late rather than eating in a stranger house.

"Sure."

"Yes, I under… yes?" Julie was stumped. It only dawned to her that Zach's answer was not what she was expecting. In fact, it was the complete opposite.

Did he just… agree?

Zach turned to look at Julie. "I'll stay and eat here."

Right now, Julie's jaw dropped open. This was the first time in her life that Zach would be eating in her house. She had tried to ask countless times in the past, but she never thought that Zach would agree now.

She only asked that question for courtesy sake, damn it!

"You'll eat here?" Julie repeated after gulping down her saliva.

Zach arched his eyebrows. His expression right now looked as if he was saying, 'is there anything wrong?'

"Yes."

Thud!

Julius had thrown Reynard to the other side of the room and wiped his sweat. He was also looking at his best friend in disbelief. His line of sight landed on Ann, who was standing not far from Zach.

For some reason, the bad premonition that was growing within his heart was growing even stronger right now.

It shouldn't be, right?

Because if it was the truth, Julius knew that things would never be able to get peaceful anymore in the future.

There would be a lot of problems...…

"I'll also stay and eat here, Julie," Julius said.

Julie looked at her boyfriend. Seeing his reassuring gaze, she nodded her head then turned around to leave. She felt that if she stayed here any longer, she might feel that she had lost her soul.

Never try to guess what was inside Zach's mind.

She would never understand.

"Fine, you can stay to beat up Reynard more."

Reynard, who had just stood up again: "…" F***, are you really my sister?
