Chapter sixty two 62: PRE PARTY *we live, we love, we learn* ~•~

Few weeks later

Adria dressed up for work today as she usually do, she drove to work and went to her office, she met Asachi and related normally she was later called to the board meeting today was the day she was going to be accredited based on her work with them so far, before they might consider placing her with there collaborators.

Adria made her way to the CEOs office, she was a bit scared as she had anxiety problems, when she entered she saw here CEO and a man backing her seemingly discussing with Mr lu with the sound of the door they both turned and adria was shocked to see the man seated there.

"G... good day sir." she smiled mildly as she stared straight at the man.

"You?." the man said as he pointed at Adria.

"Do you know each other." Mr lu said.

"Yes." the man said "She had helped me in the plane I took from Nigeria back here." he smiled and turned to her "Your the Nigerian celebrity in that magazine a..atr."

"Adria."

"Oh yes, you didn't even wait for me to thank you enough for your help then."

"It was nothing sir, I'm glad you are alright."

"Well since you both already know each other I'll go straight to the point of your meeting, well Adria this is the owner of the company and a good friend of mine and this is the new worker who came from Nigeria." Mr lu said

"So far your work has been good from what I've heard." The man smiled widely as he shook Adria's hand, adria smiled lightly and sat for her accreditions.

At the end of the meeting Adria was pleased as she was given good comments on her work, she passed her accreditions and what was left was a company for her to go to.

Mr lu spoke to the man after Adria left "I started an alliance outside the company."

"Really."

"Yes with the Lee cooperation."

"What!? don't you think that's too dangerous ."

"I know."

"After what happened between you and him I don't think that's advisable."

"I know but there has to be a start to destroy this enemity."

"You are responsible for his father's death lu."

"I know and I'm not proud about that but I don't want to be his enemy."

"Hmm so what next?."

"We are having a gathering tomorrow and I want you to talk to him since he was invited and he respects you."

"That's not a problem, but why did you choose to tell me this."

"I want to try to do things the right way this time."

"That's an awesome thing Mr lu I'm glad you're retracing your steps."

Lee has been working non stop lately and it has taken a toll on him as he began to have eye bags and looked skinny, he was working on some files when his assistant brought an invitation to a gathering at the lu company, he stared at the invitation and held his chin as he thought to himself lately he had been doing some research on the lady at the party and he already knew where she works and lives but that's all he could get they tried checking online but realized the website that had her details earlier had been blocked he smirked at the invitation as he took his suit and headed home he had an invitation to prepare for.

Arriving at home he saw Lisa at his gate lately she had been stalking him and irritated him so much, she came around his work place, club and home wherever he was she made her way there, he had placed a restraining order so his guys don't let here into the house or his building so the only choice she had was to wait outside the entrance when she saw Lee's car she began to plead she tapped on his car and begged but Lee ignored her as he was really worn out and not in the mood for her annoyance, he drove straight inside and headed to his bedroom when he got inside he went for a shower while showering he thought about the lady with the pin and then a memory which he almost forgot flashed back in his head the sick lady in the hospital and the pin lady where the same person no wonder she looked familiar but her hair wasn't curly like it was then he thought for a while and sighed as he turned on the shower and the water flowed down his body washing all the stress and fatigue when he was done he went straight to bed, he woke up at night due to the noise outside, he wore his trousers and went downstairs.

"What's that noise?."

"It's Miss Lisa, sir."

"What's wrong with her why is she banging at the gate that way and why is she still here by this hour." he said as he made his way to the gate but his guys walked ahead of him to protect him.

"Open the gate." and with the order the gate was opened when it opened Lee walked out. "What is wrong Lisa, why are you making a scene huh."

"Lee please I can't think straight without you, Lee I'm going to die if you reject me this way."

"What way do you want me to reject you huh I should throw a party or put it on a billboard huh."

"Lee please."

"Lisa it's so late at night and you are at the gate of a guy, don't you feel any shame at all huh how do you plan to go back home now huh because I'm sure the main entrance to this place is closed by now."

"Lee I don't mind being here till morning I don't mind at all please."

"Hmm get in." he said as he walked into his house, he just wants to ensure she was safe and didn't attract any attention though his house was highly guarded and he owns the estate he still didn't want to take chances.

Lisa was so happy when Lee let her in she was served food and Lee was also eating as he was very hungry, he had skipped meal for the whole day so he was starving so he began to dig into his meal.

Lisa tried to pick up some egg from the bowl on the table but failed at it as she was bad at using chopsticks, she made several attempts but failed and it irritated Lee feeling tired he hit her chopsticks off with his he picked the egg with ease and placed it on her plate.

"Thanks." she said as she smiled at him 'there's no way I'm letting you off Lee your mine we belong together' Lisa thought to herself as she stared at him.

"Eat and stop looking at me, I hate it." Lee said as he slowly chewed on his food.

"Ok." Lisa began to eat.

When they were done Lee went to his room and ordered Lisa who was trailing behind him not to follow him and to ensure he doesn't see her when he wakes up tomorrow, he shut the door on her face and sighed deeply as he recalled how she handed him a drink which she had spiked, what was she even thinking he controlled everyone in that event so of course they told him he shook his head in disappointment and went straight to bed.
