Chapter ninety four 94: Worship

Today Lee and Adria went to a temple, they made there way through the gates of the temple as they held each other's hand. Adria looked up to the cross above the temple and took a deep breath, it's been long she came into his presence. They both arrived at the door and took off there footwear as they made there way to the alter, arriving there adria knelt down and Lee followed he wasn't into these things but seeing how adria was focused he followed her. They stayed like that in silence with there eyes closed, from time to time Lee would peep at adria and the last time he did he saw tears slipped from her eyes he was hurt by this and though he wanted to comfort her he didn't want to destroy the connection she was feeling, and he felt much distant as he has been hiding something from her.

Adria took in a deep breath as her thoughts began to run wild, it all started when she was a little girl growing up in an unhealthy environment, her dad was an asshole who didn't care for her or anyone apart from himself, he was selfish but he didn't use to be that way, she could recall when she was younger he wasn't like that, she remembered she and Berlina would wait for their dad at the door when it was time for him to arrive home, they would stand there and waited till he came back and he would carry each of them up and kiss them lovingly, they would go in together and they would eat from there dad's plate they would pray together, he would present gift to their mother and listen to all there complaints but everything changed in the snap of a finger he became distance spent much time outside with his friends getting wasted in liquor, he stopped caring for them, he began to abuse their Mom, she recalled a night she was watching a television series for kids 'The night garden' she and her sister were happy as it was there favorite cartoon, it was about a blue doll that came to visit a garden every night, he would travel from the sea just to get to the garden, in the garden there was daisy who was a doll that wore a dress that was like a flower, she was a ballerina or something cause whenever the daisy wanted to dance the dress blotted up her dad arrived home angry he began an argument with her mom and all of a sudden it escalated to a fight she remembered it clearly how she stood there begging her father to stop hitting her mom the blood, the tear and the pain made her who she was now, the anxiety attack she has, lack of acceptance to love or being cared for by a man, this were all side effects of her messed up life. Tears slipped down her eyes as all the hurtful memories rushed in all her failed relationship, all her losses, Ryan the only guy she was comfortable with the only person she didn't see as a guy but a friend of no gender, a partner, a guardian, a family, a lover ha! life is really shitty isn't it you get to realize the worth of something when it's gone, breathing in she felt Lee's hand rap around her like a snake as his unique scent engulfed her ''yes."she thought to herself "Yes it is true you lose something without knowing the worth but it's also true we loose something to gain something and this time she wasn't letting it go she would push hard as they have come a long way."

"I'm here adria all the pain is in the past embrace this new beginning, embrace me into your life."

"I am embracing you Lee but are you doing the same are you promising to give me your all."

"Promise adria."

"Promise?."

"l promise."

This was like a marriage vows as they both made the promise in church, once they were done, they made there way home. Lee received a call of his grandma being hospitalized, he was scared, adria who was seated close to him placed her hands on his shoulder " What is wrong Lee."

"Grandma was just taken to the hospital."

"w..what? why? what is wrong with her."

"She has been suffering from diabetes before but right now I don't know what is wrong."

adria stood up "Let me get my jacket so we could head there ok."

"okay." Lee grabbed his keys and went to the garage he waited for adria and once she arrived they headed to the hospital.
