Everyone was shocked, they thought it would be impossible for them to win the tournament.
"Why don't you guys try next year maybe you could win" Sanjiro smirked
"No, we are going to win it" Abby said
Everyone was shocked, except Abby no one even knew which element they possess.
"Abby you must be joking right, how can we win against all the other elementals, to control elements we need to learn to control our mana, yet no one of us except you can feel it," Alex said
"When will the tournament start Mr.Arai" Abby asked
"3 months from now"
"We have 91 days to perfect mana control and use elements, who are with me can stay here I won't stop anyone if you want to quit"
Silence spread in the room, after a while Alex said.
"Wherever you decide I will go with you" Alex said
"I decided to follow you any way I can't back down," Chris said
"Count me in also," Elaine said
"What about you Ray," Alex asked
"I want to become strong" Ray replied
Everyone was motivated to join the tournament.
"Alright class, seeing your determination I will teach you 2 hours extra after school, I'm bored anyway," Sanjiro said.
After the class was over all five of them assembled at the sports ground, the school was empty at this hour.
"Sanjiro-San, we don't need lectures please tell us how to win the fight" Chris asked
"First accept the truth there is no way you guys can win the fight, I decided to teach you because even if you can't win you have an ace at your sleeve"
"Ace? we don't have anyone with this name" Chris said.
"You dumbass he isn't talking about anyone, just listen first" Alex smacked Chris.
"There are very few users with fire control in Japan so it all depends on Ray's strength" Sanjiro said
"So this is our ace?" Chris asked
"Yeah! now back to the business, Ray go run 10 laps of this ground"
"Huh!!!" Everyone was shocked except Abby.
"And others I will teach you how to fight hand to hand combat, it plays a crucial role when you are out of mana"
"Wait, teacher why do I have to run laps while they get training," Ray said
"Your physical strength is nowhere enough to endure mana, you should have noticed this morning, your body must have been heated up"
"Ye-Yes!"Ray sulked
Ray started running while Sanjiro decided to teach others.
Sanjiro stared at Elaine, Alex, and Chris for a while, after which he decided
"What are your names?" Sanjiro asked the three
"Elaine Roach"
"Alex"
"Chris"
The trio replied.
"I'm going to teach you Japanese martial arts 'Aikijujutsu', for now"
"Whoaa the name is so cool" Chris's eyes sparkled.
"When Jujutsu(hard) and Aikinojutsu(soft) is combined it makes Aikijujutsu(hard and soft), it's a form of martial arts where you defeat opponents using internal energy now called mana"
Further Sanjiro added " I will try to teach you beginning transmission(Shoden) for these three months"
"What about me?" Abby asked
"You and Ray will learn 'Kajukenbo', a hybrid martial arts originated from Hawaii"
"I have never heard about it" Alex replied
"In Kajukenbo, Ka stands for karate meaning "long life", Ju stands for jujitsu meaning "happiness", ken stands for Kenpo meaning "fist" and at last Bo stands for boxing meaning "style".
"I am curious even though you know these many techniques you are still a B-rank elemental," Chris said.
"Don't judge me based on my rank, Haha I can defeat S-rank elementals" Sanjiro laughed loudly, everyone took it for a joke.
"So let's start the training" Sanjiro yelled
"Yes!" Everyone except Abby replied in sync.
"How much more lap does that looser need to run?" Chris asked.
"Let him be," Abby said
"Abby, why don't you join your friend over there," Sanjiro said.
Abby ran straight away and started doing laps.
"Now you three attack me with all you got, I will be using only one of my hands," Sanjiro said
"Heh, Mr. elemental aren't you talking us too lightly," Chris said with a smirk on his face
"Well, you seem to be confident. Ok then, anyone who can land a single hit on me Lunch's on my tab," Sanjiro also smirked
"What if you use your element," Alex asked
"I lose then"
"That's very ea-"
Suddenly Alex and Elaine rushed to attack Sanjiro Alex started with a straight punch but Sanjiro balanced himself backward and Alex missed the punch and Elaine tried to hit a straight hook punch, at that instant Sanjiro held Alex's right hand which missed the punch and used it to block Elaine's hook. Alex now tried to land a hit using his left hand on Sanjiro's face, but Sanjiro pulled Alex's right hand in the direction he was going to punch, which resulted in Alex punching his hand.
"Too slow, uncoordinated attacks, no proper body balance," Sanjiro said and pushed Alex towards Elaine, they both fell down.
"Hey stop staring and help here," Alex said after getting up, he held his right hand in pain.
"Ah, yes" Chris replied.
The three were back in position, Alex in center and Elaine in left and right.
"Attack from both directions I will confront him straight he can only use his one hand, remember," Alex said.
They both nodded in reply and ran towards Sanjiro
"Trying for coordinated attacks huh?"
Alex then started with a straight punch again but this time Elaine and Chris also attacked at the same time from both directions.
"Checkmate!! Mr. elemental, as long as you avoid my punch you will be either hit by Elaine or Chris, and you can't hold my hands again cause if you do so you can't avoid others' attack," Alex thought in mind.
Sanjiro smirked.
