Shibuya IV

'Who is this guy? He has no curse energy.' Dagon thought confused about the whole situation.

An unknown man came out of nowhere and stood inside his domain!

The Domain that he should have full control of.

"No matter." Dagon said as he sent a shikigami at him

What he expected to witness was the monster brutally eating the man apart.

What he actually got was something a bit different.

"Graahh!" He yelled in pain as he felt half his face come clean off from the blow.

His body was launched back in the water but he managed to stable himself. Though his face even though it had no facial features was displaying shock. A human with no curse energy was so fast that he killed his shikigami and hit him in the face before he could react?

This was absurd!

And it wasn't like he was stopping.

Dagon stopped holding back and unleashed his full Death Swarm at Toji. Unfortunately, such a threat was nothing to Toji. He exorcised every shikigami at super speed while running on water. He was so dangerous that Dagon even thought that he was a bigger threat than the entire team of sorcerers combined.

'No, this has to stop!' He thought before sending his strongest shikigami.

Two giant centipede like monster emerged from the water and went straight for Toji.

But at the same time in the opposite side of the domain, Mai who was now a spectator looked down to the capsule in her hand and gulped. This was the last one, the last capsule she had holding a simple domain.

And the one on the ground was about to finish.

"Maki." Mai said calling her sister out.

"What?"

"Those two are a threat to us all, get ready to attack. I'm about to let the capsule fall apart letting the sure-hit effect work in the domain giving that curse spirit the edge."

"Why would you do that?" Maki asked.

"Because that man is a bigger threat than that curse spirit and us all combined." Naobito said interrupting them. "Let it go after Toji first and then let's go exorcise that spirit."

"He's right, now is not our time to fight. We need to let it win and get exhausted." Nanami grabbed Maki shoulder.

"It's time." Mai said as she saw the capsule run out of curse energy, breaking apart.

Dagon who was about to get crushed found his sure-hit effect come back. He looked back to see the sorcerers not deploying another one.

Whether they ran out or purposefully let him gain his back. He did not know but he would use this opportunity to kill this man!

"This is over!" Dagon shouted before focusing his sure-hit effect on Toji.

Only... he could not.

"Wha-"

Dagon could not finish before he was smashed to the ground by Playful Cloud. A weapon perfect for Toji as it relied on the strength of the user.

And now-

*DWING! DWING!*

Toji rubbed the staff together sharpening its edges making it more deadly than ever.

Dagon stood back up but could not believe it. He was about to be killed by a man with no curse energy!

"Nanami, Mai, we need to go now!" Maki shouted looking at the situation unfold.

If they were to go any later, the special grade would die without even injuring this man!

They needed someone to beat Toji because they all knew they couldn't.

Naobito was the first to go as he used his technique and arrived before Toji. The man was about to stab Dagon in the face but Naobito with his speed came right in time. His palm was about to touch Toji but right then he could see Toji move his eyes towards him.

Naobito widened his eyes in shock and he could only watch as Toji took his Playful Cloud and hit the weapon to his arm completely disintegrating it into nothing.

*AARRGGGHHH!!*

The pain he received was so abrupt that he couldn't even focus properly.

And Toji was not done, he used the old man as footing and launched himself to Dagon.

"No!" Dagon shouted in the air before he was stabbed in the face.

Repeatedly!

Until the spirit's domain collapsed and it turned to disintegrate into nothingness. In a matter of 2 minutes, the special grade curse spirit had perished by a single man.

"Shit." Nanami cursed as he came face to face with the man.

This man took out a special grade even when they helped it gain its advantage back!

"Get out of here. I'll buy time so that you can all get away." Nanami said.

Although normally Maki would refute, she knew at this moment that running away and informing others was the best they could do. "Let's go now!" Maki shouted before running away with Mai.

"Just buy enough time, Nanami! I'll call back up!" She screamed at him.

Now it was only the three of them left. Naobito stood up with only one arm left.

"You really let them go." Naobito said with scorn on his face.

"You had a better idea." Nanami said clenching his weapon.

"Nah, I'm dead already." He shrugged.

Toji would not let them go, and he knew that. They would have to give their life in this fight.

And so they got ready, ready to die.

Then Toji moved, his blinding speed made it hard to react but they were able to see where he went.

It was just not at them.

He went past them.

"Don't let him!" Naobito shouted.

Nanami used his technique and shattered the ground with his fist lifting the debris upwards blocking Toji. At least that was his intention because what really happened was Toji barreling through the barrier with Playful Cloud.

However that gave enough time for Naobito to use his technique. He launched a kick at Toji but he ducked his body to the back and gave a bicycle kick to Naobito face sending him towards Nanami. They both crashed into one another leaving Toji free to go on his rampage.

And the opponent he chose was someone he was familiar with.

All too familiar.

"Huh?" An unsuspecting young sorcerer felt his clothes being dragged and thrown outside of a window.

"Nue!" He shouted as an owl shikigami was formed and he held his arm on its talons.

He landed swiftly in an alleyway and found himself face with Toji.

The squared up to each other but if one looked at a distance than they would see the uncanny resemblance between the two. And that was because they were none other than father and son. The boy was of course Megumi.

'The hell is this guy, he was so fast that I couldn't even react to him grabbing me. Maybe... he is even faster than Sukuna was at that time!' Megumi though nervously, he had no idea what was happening here but came after feeling the immense amount of cursed energy being used here. He thought maybe a battle was here and he could help.

But now he was face to face with this unknown man.

One that he can't even feel his curse energy.

"This is going to be tough." Megumi muttered under his breath and held his sword tightly.

In the station, Nanami pulled himself up and rubbed his head. The hit he received was severe as it gave him a concussion and he was now bleeding from the head.

Naobito wasn't much better with his severed arm. The bleeding stopped with Nanami's tie as he wrapped it around the arm.

"Are you alright?" Nanami asked as he put his hand out.

"Better than ever." Naobito said as he grabbed the hand and pulled himself up.

Unfortunately, their moment of rest would not last long.

"Rest well, Dagon."

The pair felt the immense curse energy appear next to the dead curse spirit. The corpse now burnt into ash as it disappeared into the wind. Jogo had arrived sending off his companion.

"Come on."

'Compared to that curse Dagon... this one is on another level!' Nanami thought.

"Leave the rest to me. Our will and soul will continue to live on as long as humanity lives. We'll meet each other a century from now." Jogo turned his attention to them and narrowed down his eye.

But that gave the two the opportunity to see Jogo and the state he was in.

And it was not pretty.

His entire chest was practically destroyed beyond belief. Half of his face was ripped of its skin and the volcano had one of its side broken letting the lava spill to the floor. His clothes were dyed purple from his blood.

All injuries he had incurred from fighting Gojo and being his punching bag.

The two sorcerers seeing this saw the glimmer of hope.

Maybe... maybe they had the slightest of chance.

To come out victorious.

Then Jogo appeared before Nanami and placed his palm on his chest.

"You're the weaker one." He muttered before engulfing Nanami in flames.

His fire was capable of melting through practically anything and was far greater than the flames of the curse spirit that Arai had fought. Still, in his weakened state, he was far weaker. Weak enough so that Nanami could fight back.

Nanami ran through the flames burning him alive and scorching his skin permanently. He used his technique in that instant and struck Jogo in his volcano head sending him flying.

Naobito who was on the other side jumped in and was about to reach Jogo.

If Naobito had two arms, he would of been able to be faster and catch Jogo. Unfortunately, Jogo was not the only one weakened. With his own palm out, he blasted the flames he wielded right on Naobito's face.

The fire hit Naobito when he was unprepared and with no defence, the attack had instantly killed him.

*Cough! Cough!*

The sound of coughing was heard by Jogo who turned to see Nanami holding his mouth. He was coughing dark blood and his entire body was burnt. One would even wonder how he was alive but his resilience was inhuman. He would fight to death if that meant his goal would be accomplished.

That was simply who Nanami was.

"Seems like I used a fire too weak for you, I'll amplify the power for you." Jogo said before creating a fireball and aimed it Nanami.

Nanami could feel it, this was the end. Even if he escaped from here, he would die from the mortal wounds. No amount of reversed cursed energy would fix from an external force. He would need to use positive energy to himself and to a high degree.

Something he had never learnt. Something he had never achieved.

'Malaysia... Yeah, Kuantan would be nice. Build a house on a secluded beach. Maybe pick up a book, those books I bought but never read through. Go through them page by page... kind of like taking back my lost time.' Nanami thought as he began daydreaming. It was unlike him to do this, distracting himself at work. Yet at death's door, he just felt like releasing all his pent-up desires. To go out there and be at peace.

'I just want to rest, I just want to sleep.' Nanami thought as he felt his eyelids closing.

"Sleep well, old friend." Nanami heard someone say this and opened his eyes.

There he saw Arai sitting on a chair looking down. The world was blank white with nothing other themselves here. It was as if the world didn't exist and only they did.

"Just rest Nanami. Don't curse, don't regret, just rest. You deserve it. You all of all people merit this. So just take some time off, and go say hi to Yu for me." Arai said with a genuine smile and kneeled down to Nanami who was laid down.

"... yeah. That doesn't sound so bad." Nanami said with a tired smile.

"Hey Isao."

"Yeah?"

Nanami pulled himself up and looked at his old friend. "You're not real, are you?"

This left Arai frozen but he smiled and chuckled. "You've never been inside the mind and yet you instantly know I'm fake."

"Hm, the real Isao wouldn't bother talking about this kind of thing when there is a threat out there. The world is also white so that makes things easier." Nanami said as he analyzed everything that was going on.

Arai put his arm out and Nanami took hold of it pulling himself up. "Yeah, I'm not the real one. Just a figment of your imagination, but are you going to give up?"

"Of course not, because at the end of the day. I am a Jujutsu Sorcerer." Nanami stated fully ready for what's about to happen.

"Yes... yes you are."

The imaginary world crumpled and revealed the reality. His hand on his blade, he readied every drop of curse energy inside his body to enhance the blade. Bring out everything he had with a pact to sacrifice himself.

[Ratio Technique: 100% Percent!]

With his blade readied, he charged at Jogo who was also doing the same. Except the curse spirit noticed the unusual amount of curse energy being brought out.

'What is this?' He thought confused but didn't back down.

He was more than willing to take on this challenge. A human would never triumph over him in a battle of power.

His firepower increased even more and he brought out an explosion of fire towards Nanami.

Nanami's entire body was breaking down at the moment and he knew that but still went on. With a swing of his blade, he cut apart the fire that came after him splitting the wave of fire in half.

His entire arm felt like breaking with this one action so he switched arms and continued on. Until he was close enough for a strike, Nanami struck with his sword but at the same time, Jogo threw a punch coated with fire at him.

'Aahh, this is it. My final action. My final thought.' Nanami thought as his sword hit Jogo on the chest. 'Itadori, I'm sure you will become someone greater than I ever was. I am sure you will be able to surpass me and defeat the curse spirits. I leave 'that' curse spirit in your hands. Good luck, Itadori.'

His strike managed to send Jogo flying through the walls and crash elsewhere.

"This is it." Nanami muttered as he looked down to his chest. A hole was where his heart was, Jogo having ripped it off when he managed to hit him away. His eyes slowly losing the color it had until it became white.

After a moment, Nanami took his last breath going out in peace. Not having any regrets.

He had fought and died valiantly.
