The two hunters that were with Kim looked at each other in disbelief.
Could there really be someone that had betrayed the Altered hunters? But it was the only explanation that made some sense to them.
After all, they had only booked a hotel room; they had only been in it a few minutes, and it didn’t take long for them to arrive either.
Someone had to be watching them from the beginning. At least these were the thoughts running through their heads.
“If that's the case, don’t we need to warn Trixie and the others as quickly as possible?” the hunter asked.
“No,” Kim replied. “If we inform them on our communicator, then the traitor will get wind of what is going on. We need to clear this hotel, make sure it’s all safe, and then head back.”
The other hunters weren’t too sure about this, but they decided to follow Kim’s words; she was, at the end of the day, the experienced one.
As they headed out, they made sure to be ready for any more encounters.
