Not My Blood

The hunters still hadn’t listened to Austin’s call. Even though they knew what Austin was, even though they could see he was one of the Altered they hunted this entire time, there was a consciousness in their body that was telling them that they shouldn’t leave.

The enemy Lupus had already killed two of the hunters, and now the only person standing in his way between him and them was Austin. Still, due to the sheer powers that were happening, the strength being on display, they didn’t think they could help much.

Yet, they felt like they had to be there to at least witness it all. They had been standing there so long that they hadn’t even noticed the sun that was starting to rise.

No one did, no one thought about the consequences of the people finding out who they were; they were just watching the one that was fighting for them. Now they had seen it though, a great effort, a powerful charge, and the transformation of Lupus.
