The sun was shining brightly when, slowly, Xin began to open her eyes. Turning her head to the side, she spotted a green-haired man lying there peacefully, still fast asleep.
Reaching over to the side table, she grabbed her phone and checked the time.
“Gary, wake up. Wake up! It’s two in the afternoon,” Xin said.
Sure, they had gone to bed relatively late, but she never expected both of them to sleep for this long. Xin could only remember sleeping in this late back when she was a teenager.
“Are we being attacked?” Gary mumbled.
“Well... I guess we’re not being attacked, so I think things are fine. At least for today. Otherwise, Kai would have said something, right?”
Deciding to get up, Xin stretched.
“I’ll make you a coffee and some breakfast, and check with Kai if everything’s all right.”
“Thank you,” Gary replied weakly. He still felt groggy and exhausted from his transformation. What he was thankful for, though, was how much he was being pampered.
