"No, thank you. Umm, Lisa," Scott said.
"Yes? What do you want to say?” Lisa asked curiously.
“First, how are your feet? Are you feeling better already? And secondly, I know this is going to sound too soon, but would you mind going out to dinner with me somewhere in town? I know a good restaurant that serves good food if you are willing,” Scott replied, looking at Lisa's face.
Lisa smiled and looked at Scott with a happy face. Then, the girl replied, “I have recovered, I can walk and move normally like before. And for the answer to question number two, the answer is I do.”
Scott had a surprised look on his face and with a smile, he asked just to make sure, “I'm glad to hear that you're feeling much better. Then, for your willingness to go to dinner with me, did I hear you right?"
Lisa laughed and replied, "Yes. I'm willing to go to dinner with you. Then, what is the dress code?”
“No need to be too formal, but neat ok. The places we are going to are quite different. Then Saturday night I'll pick you up."
"Ok, I'll dress up as beautifully as possible, so I won’t disappoint you," answered Lisa.
"You don't even need to dress up beautifully as you are beautiful already. But, do what you want to do. I'll pick you up at seven-thirty," Scott said.
"Thank you. I will be waiting for you. Umm, you haven't answered what do you want to drink? I'll make a drink for you," Lisa asked.
“Do you have Cola? Can I accompany you to watch television? If you don't mind, I'll stay with you until your grandma and brother come back," Scott said.
“I have Cola and yes you can join me. Let's move to the family room," said Lisa.
Then they both walked to the living room. Lisa tidied up the snacks that were on the table and the pillows on the sofa. Scott smiled at her as he looked at the girl.
The guy starts liking and admiring Lisa beside the girl is his mate, but Lisa is a human and to make her his mate, Scott has to mark her. There was doubt in him and he would see how far the process would take him and Lisa. That afternoon, he accompanied Lisa until Dorothy and Sean returned.
Meanwhile, in a room located in a spacious and luxurious residence. A man was seen sitting in his study with his back to the entrance to his room. He stared at a painting while sitting on a large chair that looked very comfortable.
From outside, a man ran towards his room and stopped right in front of the entrance to his room. The young and athletic man knocked on the door shouting from outside the room, “Sir, it's me, Vlad. Let me in.”
The mysterious man in the room took a deep breath and replied, "Come in."
Hearing the answer he got, the man pushed the doorknob downwards and the door opened. He rushed in and saluted the mysterious man.
"What did you get?" asked the mysterious man.
"We haven't got Bert yet. We could almost hurt him, but he turned out to be very strong and persistent. Even though badly injured, he still resisted, in the end, he ran and hid," replied Vlad with a frightened face.
"Useless! You can't take care of just one person. Then, what am I paying you for?” he angered as he threw the cigar he was holding at Vlad.
Vlad was silent and did not dare to look at the man, let alone to answer his words. The power and authority of the mysterious man make anyone afraid.
“Forgive us, Sir. We promise to bring him to you as soon as possible,” replied Vlad.
"There's no need to bring him in front of me, you guys just finish him off. Then, what about the second-order I asked you to do?” asked the mysterious man.
“We have put the woman in the basement. She's only human, Sir. She doesn't have the strength to fight us, I don't think she's dangerous,” he replied.
"Yes, you're right. But I'm just trying to get rid of the traces. Alright, quickly find Bert and kill him right away without leaving a trace, got it?”
"All right, Sir."
Then, Vlad walked away from the mysterious man. He and his subordinates immediately went back through Stowe to find out where Bert was hiding.
Meanwhile, the mysterious man sat back in his favorite chair while stroking a photo he took out of his desk drawer.
“Emily, I missed you. Why don't you ever understand my feelings? And why did you choose him and not me? What is my lack?” he said as he stroked the photo and kissed it.
On the other side of the density of Stowe, precisely in the middle of the forest on the outskirts of the city, it turned out that Bert was running in a hurry, trying to save himself. His body was covered in wounds and blood, his breath gasping with exhaustion.
Bert kept running towards the deeper part of the forest until he finally saw a house that looked inhabited. The lights inside the house were all on even though all the windows and doors were closed. Without thinking, he immediately walked over to the house and knocked on the door.
Several times there was no response from the inside. Then, Bert tried to see the situation in the house through the windowpane, the inside of the house was bright, but looked uninhabited.
Then, bravely, he pressed the doorknob and the door swung open. When opened, the smell of food tantalizes the senses and hunger. Bert went straight into the house, which wasn't too big but looked very cozy and warm.
He kept walking toward the kitchen, following his sense of smell, trying to find the source of the sweet smell that tantalized his hungry stomach. Until finally he reached the kitchen and saw a bowl of apple pie lying on the kitchen table.
Without waiting long, Bert immediately took the plate and spoon and poured the apple pie onto his plate. Although his body was covered in blood and injured, the hunger that hit him made him forget all the pain in his body.
He devoured the apple pie voraciously without caring about anything else. Bert, who was usually alert and careful, was now caught off guard.
While eating the apple pie, from the front door a man entered with a gun. The old man with a cowboy appearance in boots and a wide hat that covered his white hair continued to walk towards the kitchen.
Bert who was enjoying apple pie didn't notice that someone was walking towards him. Arriving in the kitchen, the man pointed his gun and said, “Who are you and why did you come in? Answer quickly or this bullet will get lodged in your head!”
