......
“An...angel...?” Zerha asked. “What is an angel doing down here? Isn’t it supposed to be in heaven?”
“A six-winged angel. He’s probably an archangel.” Garren answered.
While the angel could barely stand up, a demon suddenly attacked him. “Sh*t!” The angel cursed.
“What the hell? He’s an angel, right? Why did he curse?” Zerha whispered to Garren and Foxy.
“Okay! You f*ck*ng a**hole! Come at me and I’ll make sure you will suffer!” The angel shouted at the demon. The demon made another move to attack the angel, who wasn’t able to dodge the blow. The demon was too fast!
He said he will make the demon suffer but look at him now. He’s the one that is suffering from the attacks of the demon. I can tell he’s a demon, because he’s in human form but he also has a horn like me. But I envy him; his horn is much smaller than mine. Zerha said to herself.
All demons had the body of a human; the trait that distinguished them from humans was the
horns on their heads or even on their foreheads.
The angel tried to cast some magic on the demon, who managed to dodge every attack.
“Let’s go, Master,” Foxy said.
“Yeah, we should go, Master,” Garren agreed.
“But shouldn’t we help him?” Zerha asked while looking at the angel. Why are these two just ignoring the angel? Zerha thought.
“Why would you help him, Master? If you help him, we don’t know for sure if he will not attack us!” Foxy asserted.
“But you will protect me, right?”
Foxy was hesitant, because she knew that archangels were more powerful than beasts like
her and Garren. “Y-yes, b-but---“
“Angels are much stronger than us, especially archangels,” Garren cut Foxy off. “But we already promised to you that we will protect you even if it costs our own lives. If you want us to help him, then we will follow your orders. You are our Master.”
“Wahhh, Garren, you are so thoughtful! I’m glad I’ve made you my guardian!” Zerha
exclaimed. At hearing these words, Foxy felt a pang of jealousy shoot through her.
“I-if that’s what you want. I---we… we will help that angel!” Foxy said while avoiding eye
contact with Garren and Zerha.
“If you want my help, I’ll help you right away!” Zerha said.
“No need, Master. That demon is a low-level demon. I don’t know why the angel is struggling
to defeat it.” Garren remarked.
“You f*ck*ng piece of sh*t! I’ll make sure that you pay for all of this!” The angel shouted angrily.
Is he really an angel? Why does he keep uttering indecent words? Zerha thought.
“Ha! You’re all bark and no bite! I don’t know why someone like you is here but bringing your
head to our King will definitely raise my rank!” The demon asserted. The demon was about to attack the angel that was still struggling to get up when Garren suddenly reverted to his original form and started breathing fire at the demon. But the demon saw it coming, so he dodged it quickly. “A black dragon?” The demon panicked upon seeing a huge black dragon in front him.
“Are you afraid of me? HA-HA-HA! This is my master’s order. I shall burn you to ashes!”
Garren declared before he began spewing more fire at the demon.
The demon kept dodging the flames, though he was nearing his limit and would eventually be
too worn out to avoid the attacks. As the demon flew in various directions to dodge the fire, he
noticed Zerha and shouted. “Hey!”
Zerha turned her head and looked at the demon. “Why are you just standing there? Help me!” The demon shouted at Zerha.
Huh? Eh? Why is he suddenly asking for my help?Zerha thought in confusion.
“Who are you to order my master?” Garren yelled before he spit more fire. The demon was
taken aback by these words. “M-master? You’re with them? Are you betraying the Demon Kingdom? The King? And you even want to save that weak angel?”
“Hey! I’m not f*ck*ng weak, you f*ck*ng demon!” The angel shouted at the demon.
I’m betraying the King? I don’t even know him, Zerha thought.
“Don’t talk to our master like that!" Garren shouted and called Foxy. “Foxy!” Foxy knew what Garren is trying to make her do and she quickly shapeshift into a butterfy and fly towards the demon.
Huh? What is this? The demon asked himself as he suddenly saw a different place. He was looking at a beautiful tree with leaves falling from it. And a lovely young lady appeared in front of him and looked directly into his eyes. The demon froze and stared back, mesmerized by the lady’s gaze.
Zerha was getting ready to heal the angel, though she got distracted by what was happening to the demon. What’s happening to him? Why did he suddenly stop moving mid-air? And who’s that young lady in front of him? Oh my gosh! She’s so beautiful! Zerha thought.
“Stay here and do not move. Got it?” The lady said in an angelic voice while staring deeply into the eyes of the demon. The demon nodded, not knowing that he was already under the spell of the lady and that the beautiful trees he saw were just an illusion.
Then the lady vanished, and Garren breathed blue fire at the demon. In an instant, the demon turned into ashes.
“Thanks, Foxy!” Garren said.
“You should be grateful, because you couldn’t have defeated it without me,” Foxy replied with confidence. Garren made a poker face and transformed into a small dragon before he flew to Zerha’s shoulder.
“Waaah, Garren! You defeated him! You’re so cool! But who’s the young lady earlier?” Zerha asked as Garren landed on her shoulder.
“She’s Foxy, Master.”
“F-Foxy? Wahhh, Foxy! You can turn into a beautiful lady?” Zerha spoke excitedly.
“It’s part of my ability, Master. I can change my appearance and create illusions.”
“Really? So you created an illusion for that demon?”
“Yes, and I also used my eye trick.”
“What’s an eye trick?” Zerha asked, furrowing an eyebrow.
Foxy suddenly transformed into a beautiful young lady and looked deeply into Zerha’s eyes, trying to control her mind. “Can you show us your true power, Master?”
“Waaah, Foxy! You really can turn into a beautiful lady!”
“It didn’t work on you?”
“Huh?”
“Foxy also has the ability to manipulate someone, but it didn’t work on you, Master! You really are different!” Garren exclaimed.
“Really? Maybe I just have strong willpower.” Zerha laughed. I don’t know why Foxy’s power has no effect on me. Maybe it’s because I’m strong! Wahaha!
“Ahem!” The angel cleared his throat to catch the trio’s attention.
Oh yeah, we forgot about him. Zerha quickly approached the angel. She placed her palm on his skin and healed the wounds.
“Why did you heal me?” The angel asked after Zerha removed her hand.
“Ah, it’s because you’re wounded?” Zerha said stating the obvious.
“I mean, why would a demon help me? I’m an angel. Demons and angels are supposed to be enemies.”
I doubt he’s truly an angel. He was screaming profanities just moments ago, Zerha thought.
“Because our master is different,” Garren remarked. “Yeah,” Foxy agreed.
“Beasts from the Beast Kingdom are teaming up with a f*ck*ng demon?” The angel shouted.
F-f*ck*ng demon?
“So what? Our master is different,” Foxy replied.
“Yeah, I can see that. Oh, by the way, thank you for helping me. But you should know that I don’t need your help, because I could have killed that f*ck*ng demon myself!”
“Really, huh? You were almost killed by a demon. I didn’t know archangels were so weak! If the master didn’t say that we should help you, we wouldn’t have helped you. We would’ve just let that demon kill you.” Garren shot back.
“What the f*ck are you saying? I’m not weak, you f*ck*ng dragon!”
“If archangels like you are so strong, why were you struggling to defeat the demon earlier?” Zerha asked. The angel’s face contorted with anger. “If that f*ck*ng Damabiath didn’t seal some of my f*ck*ng powers, I would have defeated that demon in a second! Tsk. I really hate that a**hole!”
“Is this Damabiath one of the archangels? And why did he seal your powers?” Foxy asked.
“Yes! He says I cause too much trouble. That’s why he sealed some of my powers, even though I didn’t cause any trouble! Hmph!”
I doubt that. The three of them thought at the same time.
“What now, Master? What kingdom do you choose?” Garren asked.
Actually, I want to stay in the Haria Kingdom, because it’s a kingdom of humans. At least it’s not scary to stay there. But I remember Garren saying that the people there are demon hunters, so I might just get killed the moment I step foot on their land huhuhu- Hold on, what if? An idea suddenly popped up in Zerha’s mind. “Foxy, can you make us look like humans? For me, I just need my horn to be removed, and Garren needs to be transformed into a human. Can you do that?” Zerha asked, hoping that Foxy would be able to pull it off.
“I-I’m sorry, Master, but I can only transform myself,” Foxy replied sadly.
“A nine-tailed fox like her can only transform herself. But if you want my help, then beg me! Wahaha! I will help you if you beg for it! You should say, ‘Oh mighty Ecanus, please! I will do anything, please help me!’ Wahaha!” The angel laughed arrogantly. The three of them just gave him a poker face. “Come on, Master,” Foxy said.
“Yeah, we should go. Let’s just leave that weak idiotic angel.” Garren added.
They were about to move when the angel stopped them. “Hey! I was just joking! Look at me!” They all looked at the angel, who turned himself into a human. His wings vanished, and his silver robes changed into ordinary clothes for a human.
Waaah! His wings are gone! Zerha stared at the angel in awe. “We’re planning to go to the Haria Kingdom. We want to look like humans so we can stay there. Can you change us?” Zerha asked hopefully.
“Ha! Of course! I, a mighty angel, can easily do that!” The angel pointed his finger to Garren, his fingers started to release a light magic and suddenly Garren turned into a fine young man. He pointed his finger to Zerha and the horns from Zerha’s head disappeared. They were both wearing ordinary clothes now.
“Waaah! My horn is gone! Thank you!” Zerha looked gratefully at the angel, who blushed a little.
“Y-you’re welcome,” the angel said, averting his gaze.
“We should go, Master,” Foxy said after she turned herself into a human. She also donned typical attire.
“Waaah, Foxy! You really are beautiful!” Zerha said with sparkling eyes.
“T-thanks, Master, but you’re more beautiful,” Foxy replied.
“Let’s go!” Zerha exclaimed.
“Wait, can I go with you?” The angel asked.
“Why? Don’t you have something to do in your place? You know, watch people and protect them? Like what an angel should do?” Zerha asked.
“Hmph! I don’t do that! Too much work!”
