CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

Rose was never meant to be part of the equation; she was never meant to be in the situation she had found herself in. She was a liability and because of it, Sam had found himself tethered to her. He had never been in such a situation where someone had something important to him and they used it as leverage. Never before had he ever been worried that his actions might have consequences on others, but from the moment that Rose had seen him kill someone, he knew that the two of them would be connected and whether that connection was built off fear, or worry, or worst of all, love, the problem was that there was even a connection at all.
