Mika woke up, stretching in the bed, with Thomas sleeping like an angel beside her. She looked at him, as a sunset light was coming through the window. Thomas had the curtains set to retract when it was sundown. It wasn’t so bright at that time to wake them up if they wanted to sleep still. He was in a deep sleep. She came closer to him to see him sleeping. A part of her heart missed him so much. She was relieved he was safe and with her. She looked at him with loving eyes and scanned his features to know him well. She put her head on his left shoulder and her hand on his chest. She liked that.
“You woke up?” He asked without opening his eyes.
“I thought you were sleeping.” She didn’t change her stance, only her eyes looked at his face.
“I was but woke up when your hand was on my chest.” He smirked.
“Sorry. Didn’t want to wake you up.” She attempted to retract her hand, but Thomas put his on it, holding it on the same place.
