Chapter 20

Elaine's condition has improved and slowly can talk to family members despite talking like an outsider and not smiling. Elaine's mother understood if Elaine wasn't like before, Doctor Amy came to see Elaine's mother

"Aunt, I have something I want to talk to aunt about Elaine" She said while little nervous. Elaine's mother was pounding when she saw Doctor Amy like that and they entered the room. Elaine's mother sat in a chair "What the doctor would like to discuss with me" She said.

Sunny day at the university as well as the greenery of the trees around the road, There are 3 buses near the roadside outside the university once with 3 Professors waiting for the students on each bus. Elaine and her friend walked towards the bus and put the bag in the bonnet "Hi, Elaine, i saw you bring a lot of stuff to go there" Darren said placing the bag next to Elaine's bag.

Elaine looked at Darren "Actually a lot of it belongs to my friends, their bags don't fit" Elaine said. Darren showed the camera to Elaine "Later during soldier training, I assigned you as a cameraman, please take a picture of us" He said and put the camera around Elaine's neck.

Elaine saw Darren never smiled like this to anyone "You two look here" Call Lili and take a picture of Elaine and Darren under the big tree. Elaine even raised her hand "Okay boss, I will do this job well" She said a little naughty. Darren also raised his hand "Good junior". they both laughed at each other's attitudes.

Their warmth is seen by Nick and Nick feels a little jealous.

They boarded the bus and moved to their destination. Elaine listened to the song while Ziana slept on her shoulder. After being on the bus for a long time, Elaine felt like throwing up and dizzy from getting drunk on the vehicle. Ziana who woke up and saw Elaine cover her face "Why are you doing this" Ziana asked.

Elaine seemed unable to speak for fear of vomiting on the bus. Nick who was in the back got up when he heard Ziana's voice, Nick went towards them

"Ziana Get up, I want to sit next to Elaine, She's drunk and I have the medicine" Nick said while show his holding his small bag. Ziana didn't want to do it but when she saw Elaine sick like this, she woke up

"I let you sit here because Elaine, If you do something near her, I will not raise my hands but feet after this" Ziana threatened Nick.

Nick looked at Ziana "Old things won't happen again, you don't has to worry and if I do, You beat me to death it's okay" Nick said giving a promise. Ziana sit at back after hear that.

Nick sat down next to Elaine and opened the bag and took out the fruit and sour water and gave it to Elaine but Elaine refused because she didn't like seeing Nick sitting next to her

"You better get up and sit in your original place, I hate men sitting next to me" Said Elaine. Nick opened the water bottle and handed it to Elaine pretend not hear what Elaine said

"If you want to throw up on the bus, Please doing that but I bought this for you, Please eat it if you don't want throw up" Nick persuaded Elaine. Elaine didn't have time to say anything, she felt like throwing up and quickly she took the water in Nick's hand and drank it and she was surprised this was sour lemon water.

Elaine closed the water bottle and put it at her feet. "Later we get there, I'll give you the money for the food and drinks you gave me" Elaine said and close her eyes.

Nick was only able to smile even though his heart was a little sad.

Traveling still a little far, Elaine fell asleep on Nick's shoulder and held Nick's hand like a hug pillow. Nick held the medicine close to Elaine's nose so that Elaine was no longer dizzy even though his hands felt cramped from not moving at all.

The bus finally stopped at the soldier's training ground, all got off except Nick and Elaine. Nick got up and met the professor "Prof, the meeting with the soldiers is coming soon, Maybe Elaine doesn't has to go, She still feels dizzy from drunken driving" Nick said and the professor allowed Elaine to rest in the room.

Nick got on the bus and lift Elaine and got off the bus and headed to the restroom. All the students including Darren were shocked to see Nick lift Elaine in front of the crowd.

The two of them had reached the restroom, Nick put Elaine on the bed and covered her and put food and medicine on the table and Nick got up and left the room letting Elaine rest and heading to the field again.
