CHAPTER 78

In the darkened house, Darren put Elaine on his bed "Honey, I went out to take a shower first, you wait here" Darren said and he locked the room from outside. As the world was about to collapse, Elaine's body trembled in fear. She looked around and saw there was a small knife on a small table near the mirror. Then Elaine used all her energy to move towards the knife without making a sound of her voice so that it would not be heard by Darren.

Arriving at the table, she tried to cut the rope at his hand even though at that moment the blood started to come out due to the wound. When Elaine had cut the rope in her hands as well as in her legs, she got up and ran towards the door but her legs stopped when Darren opened it. Step by step Elaine backed away "Don't touch me or I'll kill you" Elaine screamed like crazy.

At that moment, Elaine's hand trembled holding the knife towards Darren.

"Elaine, do you know that my life was very dark before but since you came to me it's like I will no longer remember and see my little self in this house but you chose Nick over me" Darren said as he walked slowly towards Elaine . "I know what you're going through is the same as mine but Darren please stop hurting people around you because what you're doing won't make your heart and mind calm" Elaine said.

With a wicked smile Darren unbuttoned his clothes in front of Elaine "I will be calm and happy when the person who tortured my life dies and you will be mine" Darren said. Quickly Darren tried to throw the knife in Elaine's hand in a rude way "Release this knife now" Darren said.

Elaine held the knife tightly,

What had happened to Elaine in her childhood flashed through her mind and unconsciously she pushed Darren hard and the knife pierced Darren's chest. Blood started to flow from Darren's body, Elaine was shocked by his actions and slowly she threw the knife aside "It's not my fault, I'm just defending myself" She said while looking at his hands full of blood.

Darren tried to hold back the pain and covered his wound with a cloth "Elaine why you do to me like this" Darren said in a weak voice. Elaine shook her head "You forced me" Elaine shouted.

With a confused mind, Elaine ran out of Darren's house and left Darren alone.

The rain began to fall heavily, Elaine walked without noticing her wetness. The sound of a call from Nick made Elaine scream madly and hit her body relentlessly in the middle of the street. Inside the house, Elaine sat on the floor at the end of her bed ignoring calls as well as messages from anyone. She closed his eyes and covered his ears. "He's dead or not" That was a sentence she repeated non -stop.

A message came into her phone and Elaine lifted her face and looked up.

her face turned pale when she saw the sender's name, Elaine pressed the message "Elaine, you don't has to worry, you didn't kill me because I'm okay now" Elaine breathed a sigh of relief upon reading the message and she slept hugging her body like a cat.
