Intermission One: Elise & Fina Debate Male Health Care
Elise's POV
I used to always be alone when I was a kid. Children avoided me after hearing rumours that my parents were evil. My parents didn't care about me and only pushed me to excel, so I wouldn't embarrass them. I had no one, no one at all. But one day, that changed when he appeared. If I remember correctly, Luke had just moved into the area. I don't know whether he heard the rumours about me, but he approached me when I was playing alone at the park one day.
At first, I ignored him, thinking he would leave just like the others, but Luke didn't leave. The next day he returned, and the day after that, and the next day. I was rude to him. I barely even acknowledged him. But he never left me alone, and when I yelled at him to go, he said I looked lonely and in pain. He used to be such a cry baby as his eyes watered when I yelled at him. Still, after that day, I started talking to Luke every day and eventually, we would play games.
"I don't care about her parents!"
It's funny. When we first met, Luke defended me, while now I am the one that shields him from bullies. It was about three months after we met and I had just arrived at the park when I saw them. I didn't know it at the time, but the boy who I saw threatening Luke was Jack. He had Luke against a wall with two other boys blocking his escape. Still, despite shaking, Luke refused to give in to Jack.
"Elise is Elise!" Luke yelled. "I don't care about her parents, only her!"
That was the first time anyone said they cared about me. Ever since I was born, my parents left me in the care of their maids. They never said anything nice to me, just o try harder and do more. Looking back, I think that was when I started to fall in love with him. It was also the day I learned what anger was. When I saw Jack punch Luke hard enough to knock him down, something inside of me snapped.
I must have blacked out because one moment, I was simply watching Jack about to kick Luke while he was down, and then the next thing I know, I was on top of him. Jack was below me, looking terrified with blood pouring from his nose and a cut on his upper lip. My hands hurt and were covered in blood. Luke was there holding me back, begging me to stop. I had no idea what had happened, but I was glad I did what I did when Luke hugged me, begging me to calm down as Jack ran away with his lackeys.
Ever since that day, we were always together. We played video games, ball games and board games. Other kids wanted me to join them as the years went by. As we got older and kids around us realised the wealth my parents had, they suddenly wanted to become my friend. We used to let them play, but I sent those kids away when they tried to push Luke away. I didn't care that I was not popular. I was happy just being with Luke.
I wish things could have stayed that way forever. I wished we could have stayed young and played our games to the end of time. But time wasn't kind to us. As we got older, people started to target Luke. They were cowards who knew they couldn't touch me, so they went after him. I tried to stop them, talking to them at first and then making threats, but it didn't work. In the end, I found the best way to protect Luke was to stay away from him. I hang out with people I hate. I pretended to like the people that bullied Luke. It helped, but there were still people who would threaten Luke.
I had always protected him from bullies, barking dogs, and anyone who threatened to take him away from me. I will always protect him, but now I face a threat greater than any I have ever faced before. She is strong, not intimidated by me and has Luke in her debt. I should have been the one to find Luke and help when he was alone, not her. If I had refused to believe Jack and the others, he would never have met her.
Her name is Fina. She is the captain of the knight's first squad and Luke's commanding officer. Soon she will be my boss too. It took some time, but I convinced the king to assign me to the first knight's squad. The only good thing my mum and dad ever gave me was the ability to be a great negotiator. Now she won't be able to take advantage of Luke. I will make sure to protect him from her and make sure she doesn't do anything to my Luke.
Now that I am here, I think that is his window. Luke should still be sleeping at this hour, but I shouldn't disturb him if I were to take a peak. He used to look really cute when we were kids, and he would take naps on my lap. I love my new body. I never would have been able to jump up to his windowsill back in our old world. His curtains and window are open. Perfect. Peeking my head inside, I feel excited to be seeing one of my favourite sights from my childhood… wait what is she doing to Luke?
"Hey, get away from him right now!"
Fina's POV
Luke truly is the one destined for me. he defeated a Greater Demon and countless orcs during his first mission. When we finally get married and have a kid, it will be the most powerful being this world has ever seen.
I have been a warrior my whole life. Ever since I read a book about knights when I was eight, I have never wanted to be anything other than a mighty knight who protects the innocents. I dreamed of becoming the strongest person to ever exist, but I am only human. I learned the hard way that I am still weak on the world stage despite being the strongest amongst humans. Monsters and demons make me appear weak. I could never take one down alone. Despite my drive and determination, I knew I could never achieve my dream of becoming the strongest being alive.
But that was when I had another idea. I would have a child. I would find the strongest man I could and take his seed. I didn't care what he looked like or what kind of man he was. I just needed a baby from him. With our combined strength and the application of magical rituals performed on the newborn, my child would be able to surpass me. I don't think even they could become the strongest in the world. Still, if my child repeats my actions and then my grandchild in a few generations, there will be a human descendent of mine with unmatched strength and power.
I was happy with my plan. I was prepared to see nothing more of the man I selected to give me my baby, but then I met Luke. At first, I planned to sleep with him and leave as soon as I was pregnant if he really was against marrying me, but now… now, things are different. He refused to marry me or sleep with me no matter what I tried. From what I have seen of men, they rarely pass on sex. Instead of that, Luke wanted to get to know me first, and we grew closer.
Training, fighting or just talking. No matter what I did with Luke, all those tasks seemed more fun. I was able to push myself harder and further with Luke as a training partner. He always had interesting stories to tell about the world he came from when we were taking breaks. Ever since Luke joined the knights, I haven't felt bored. In fact, I have been feeling warmer and more happier since I meet him in the arena. My sister called it love, but I say she is stupid. I am a warrior, not some helpless princess. It is impossible for me to fall in love.
But then why am I happy now that I am standing by his bedroom door. He has the day of a should still be asleep. I usually would be too on my days off at this time, but I just returned from my family's home. I want to see him. Placing my hand on his door, I lightly push it open. He always looks so peaceful when he sleeps. Stepping inside his room, I tried light to not wake him up.
Strangely, he doesn't look as strong as I know he is. As he lays in his bed with his top off and blanket on the floor, I can see he has some muscles, but far less than I first thought. He is so pale, and his skin lacks any of the roughness I would expect from someone of his strength. I smile as he smiles in his sleep. My eyes trail down his neck to his chest and lower, where a bulge appears at his crotch. Is this… what did my sister call it? Morning something… It doesn't matter if what she said is true.
"Men sometimes need help in the morning," My sister's words replay in my head. "It can be bad for their health if they don't relieve themselves."
My sister has a lot more experience with men than I do. She entertains them at the hotel and always tells me… things… things that have nothing to do with being a knight, so I ignore her! I have no reason to doubt she would be wrong about this, and I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if Luke were to get sick, and I could have done something to prevent it. I take a deep breath and reach my hand forward. I wish I had listened to my sister, and Luke won't be disappointed with my inexperience.
"Hey, get away from him right now!"
Third Person POV
"Hey, get away from him right now!"
Fina quickly jumps back, drawing her sword, expecting an intruder, only to find someone worse climbing in through the bedroom window. Fina lets out a growl wishing it was an intruder. At least that way, she would have been able to kill them, she tells herself. Instead, one of the summoned heroes, Elise, makes her presence known. One of the few people Fina wouldn't be able to talk herself out of trouble for killing.
"What do you think you are doing peaking through my fiancé's bedroom window?" Fina snaps back.
"He is not your fiance,"
"Not yet," Fina smirks. "But he will be soon."
"As if I will let that happen,"
"But you are going to let him risk his health?"
"Never," Elise shakes her head. "Besides, I doubt he would catch a cold from not having a blanket with how warm it is."
"That is not what I meant," Fina replies, pointing to the tent in Luke's shorts. "My sister tells me if we leave Luke like that, it will be bad for his health."
"But that… that is…" Elisa blushes bright red. "Is that… really true?"
"My sister is very experienced when it comes to men," Fina nods. "As his future wife, it is my duty to help him."
"No… no, you… can't…" Elise brushes as she clenches her fists determined to not let Fina do this. "I have known him longer. I… I will… I will do it…."
"Do you even know how?"
"Do you?"
"…" Both girls are silent as they turn to stare at Luke.
"How about we work together just this once?" Fina suggests, and Elise nods her head. "I am sure we can figure this out." They step closer kneeling down beside Luke's bed. "After this, I will have my sister teach me everything she knows so I won't need your help ever again."
"Then I… I will… learn too…" Elisa blushes harder, thinking if anyone she knows can help her learn. "I… I won't lose to you."
"Undead Attack! Undead Attack! All Knight Prepare For Battle!"
"…"
"…"
"…"
Luke suddenly sits up, hearing the alarm and man shout. He stares at Elise and Fina, and they stare back at him with bright red faces.
"What are you two doing in my room?" Luke asks, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
"Undead Approaching The South Gate! All Knight Assemble On The Double!"
"To wake you up," Elise jumps up, looking at Fina. "Right, Fina? We came to get Luke up because of the attack."
"Yes, that is exactly what we were doing," Fina nods. "Now get ready. We need to move out."
Fina and Elise quickly leave the room to grab their own gear from their room.
"Next time, I won't share," Fina says as they run.
"There won't be a next time for you," Elise replies.
