Leave

Nevaeh found herself bored and alone after several hours of waiting for Engel to return.

It was already dark, and still, there had been no sign of him. She tossed and turned restlessly, not liking the stiffness of the bed. The comfort and fluffiness she always had when lying on it were gone, and she knew it was because Engel wasn't there.

She missed his warmth and arms wrapped around her, giving her the security and ease only he could give.

Araminta had mentioned the meeting, and she doubted there were still on it. It has been hours. Araminta had been with her for a while before leaving her to do whatever she did while living with them and in the human realm.

Her eyes traveled to the food placed on the bedside table, and though she was hungry, she couldn't see herself eating.
