School Drama and Another Bloodless Carcass

"Wake up Will, you don't want to be late for school" Brody cried from downstairs.

Will rubbed his eyes as he raised his upper body lazily and looked at his clock giving a long yawn. He looked closely at the clock with his vision being blurred and by the time he realized it, he just had forty five minutes left until school starts. He bursted put of the bed and lost his footing causing him to fall. He stood up quickly and ran straight into the bathroom to clean up. Five minutes later, he came out with a towel wrapped around his waist as he walked hastily to his room. He carried a raincoat just incase it rained today. He raced down the stairs to eat his breakfast. He chugged down his bread and egg sandwiches before topping it off with a cup of tea. He blazed through the house and got on his bike with thirty minutes left before school starts and rode off quickly. He still had the time to greet his neighbours and neighborhood friends. Leaving his neighbourhood he put his foot on the gas and sped up like he was running from kidnappers. He raced through the streets and made it to school five minutes early and skid into the parking lot and parked his bike. He raced into the school looking for his crew but they were nowhere to be found. He concluded that they got tired waiting for him and went to their classes. He walked through the crowds of people trying to get books from their lockers and move to their classes when he saw a group of boys picking on Connor. It was the first time that he got bullied and he wondered why but he was running late for class.

Soon enough he made it on time for his maths class and today's topic was simultaneous equation. Will paid a lot of attention to what the teacher was doing and listened to all his explanations which would help him in taking down notes. Once he was done he moved on to the next class and to the next until it was lunch time. Finally a breather, he looked around and found Keisha. The two walked together as they looked for Brian and Connor but were nowhere to be found. Well I guess it was just two of them having lunch together today. Today they brought their own lunch as the school wasn't serving anything today. Will brought four baloney sandwiches, some chocolate, two protein bars and some orange juice freshly squeezed by his mom. Due to him being a wolf now, he ate more than ever as his appetite quadrupled. Keisha on the other had brought macaroni and cheese.

"So, how was your day?" Keisha asked opening her flask.

"Well I woke up late and I'm sure you noticed that but other than that hiccup, it's been good" replied William before he took a huge bite out of his sandwich.

"Yh I did"

"Well, I have a question to ask"

"And what could that be?"

"Well...." William said before taking a gulp of orange juice.

"Did you ever know that Connor was being bullied?"

"Well...I knew he was getting picked on by some group of boys last year and then he took care of it but I didn't know that it was still going on" Keisha said with a lot of concern in her voice.

"Wow that's surprising, for a hug like him, he should be able to figure a way out or beat them. He shouldn't let all that wolf muscle go to waste"

"Yh but you know Connor, he doesn't like fighting"

"I know but for a wolf he should throw down once in a while"

"Yh, I see your point" Keisha concluded.

"But where do you think he and Brian are?" Questioned William

"I don't know but I guess what you saw this morning could be the cause"

The two ate silently for a while before an unexpected guest broke the ice. Amanda, one of their classmates and one of the most annoying in the world. She was quite pretty but her attitude was nothing to write home about and what made it even worse was that she was one of best cheerleaders so you know what they were dealing with here. She sat down with a stupid smile on her face and a thought went through Will's head of him transforming and ripping her head off, what a glorious that mg that would be. Not just for him but for the class, her family, the teachers, the cheerleader squad and the rest of the world.

"Hey guys, how are you doing" she said in a pitchy tone that annoyed Will to the core. He just kept on eating and didn't answer her.

"We're doing great" Keisha answered with a fake smile and a happy tone.

"Happy to know. I was just thinking if you guys are in a relationship cuz we've been seeing you guys together lately, holding hands at times and it's the top talk of the relationship gossip"

"Yes headed by you of course" Will replied in a cold stern voice before unwrapping his last chocolate bar and taking a bite out of it.

"Well you know me, but are the rumors true?" Amanda asked curiously.

Will didn't even look at her cuz he was disgusted. Keisha on the other hand just gave her a blank stare.

"Well as you two don't want to say, I promise you I'll get down to the bottom of it"

At this statement, William cracked.

"Oh be my guest you over pampered spoilt brat. You think the world revolves around you? Be my guest dig up--" Will lashed at her in anger but his mouth was covered by Keisha.

"Don't mind him, he's just having a bad days Keisha tried to convince her.

Amanda stood up amazed that a 'low life' like him could challenge her.

"Who do you think you are? You honestly think you can get away with this, you're going to pay" she said carrying her things and carried her nose up.

Keisha turned to a steaming William who could've transformed, blown their covert, killed her, gone to prison before being sent to a lab to get experimented on.

"What have you done Will?"

"Don't blame me, you know she gets on my nerves" Will said angrily.

"I know that but you should have more control. Things could've been far more worse if not that I intervened"

"Yh, that's why you're my other half" he teased her.

"You're right" she said roughening his hair.

The two finished up keeping an open eye for Connor or Brian but never caught sight of them. They went back to their classes and rounded up the school day. They finally met up with with Brian and Connor with Connor being silent throughout their walk.

"Well while you guys were away, the snake Amanda showed up and started running her mouth" William stated

"Really, what did she say?" Brian curiously asked.

"She was talking about how Keisha and I seen together most of the time is causing people to ask whether we're together, if we are together and some other things that I don't remember"

"Well she said that she's going to find out soon enough and your boy William over here blew a fuse and lashed out at her. This resulted in her declaring war against him and according to her, 'you're going to pay'"Keisha said mimicking her voice.

"Wow, wow, wow, it seems we're finally going to have some school drama and were are going to see William fit get his hands dirty" Brian teased William.

"Don't think I'll debase myself to that idiots level. I will not fight her, she can come at me with everything that she's got but I don't care but if she sends goons at me, she has another thing coming"

"And that's the type of attitude I'm looking for, I can't wait to see this thing unfold" Brian said excited by Will's words.

"Ehh, I don't think she poses a real threat to Will" Keisha added as she held William's hand to reassure him as he now had to balance pushing his bike with one arm.

While they walked, they didn't notice that they were being followed by Amanda who took pictures of the two holding hands. She was going to trail them and find out by herself whether they were together and make it go public and do something embarrassing to Will and make him beg for mercy but what she wondered was why four of them always headed too but she waved it off and concluded that they go to eat hangout or do something. After trailing them for a couple more minutes, she headed home, she decided to do this a few times a week for a couple of minutes to see what she could get.

They three of them took notice of Connor's quietness which was unusual. Brian had signalled to them to talk about it later and continued to pester Will about his upcoming events with Amanda.

They had finally gotten away from Connor and Brian sat Keisha and William to tell them what's up.

"So, you know those bullies that were picking on Connor last year?" Brian said.

"Yh what about em?" Keisha replied.

"They started picking on Connor again. I wanted to intervene as they won't dare to mess with me but Connor's decided to handle it by himself. That's what's got him looking all moody" Brian explained.

"I knew that was the cause. I saw some guys picking on him earlier today" Will said.

"Well if Connor's decided to handle it himself, let's just see how it unfolds but Brian keep us updated on any new developments. " Keisha ordered.

"Yes Ma'am"

With the meeting over the went down to eat and do their assignments as quick as possible. Once they finished they headed out on their routine perimeter run. Will ran with Connor and was trying to think of a way of getting to him as he leaped over a fallen over tree. Connor hadn't said a word during their run and didn't plan on doing so anytime soon.

"Hey Connor, how was your day? You've been awfully quiet" William asked trying to strike up a conversation to ease up the mood.

"Well school was good" Connor said with a bit of hostility.

"Hey calm down there tiger"

"Sorry just some guys tried to mess up my day and it just makes me...angry!" Connor exclaimed with a loud snarl-bark and stopped in his tracks.

William also stopped as his question obviously angered Connor. The two stood in the forest trying to sort things out.

"Sorry you feel that way man but things like that happen in life" William explained as his statement caught the attention of Connor.

"People can be jerks at times but what influences your mood is how you chose to react. Just ignore them and things would be fine"

"You think so?"

"I know so. Maybe taking down some deer would make you feel better" Will suggested.

"Yh you're probably right" Connor replied as the two decided to go hunt.

As Connor walked away, William flowed behind but a strange scent caught his attention. He stopped and analyzed it but based on all the scents of all the animals in the forest, it was none of them so it couldn't be identified. He looked around to see if he could trace where it originated from but still nothing and he got a feeling of being watched. He was about to start investigating but was interrupted by a bark from Connor. With that, he disregarded it and followed him to hunt. If only he had chosen to go with the hunter with him, he would've discovered the cause of the bloodless deer leg that they found in the woods but alas he had to honour his word to Connor. The two were dining on their meal when a howl from Brian and Keisha came in. They stopped what they were doing and rushed to their location and the others as well.

"What's the problem?" Eric asked.

Keisha and Brian then turned their head to a dead deer. When Eric investigated it, it had no blood running through it's veins. It was bloodless. He hoped that it wasn't the return of what he that it was but didn't want to scare the pack.

"It's another corpse with no blood. Everyone tighten up their patrols and make them thorough and if you get a scent like the one that all over this dead deer right now, inform us immediately" Eric ordered.

"What's the problem boss" Brent inquired.

"It's nothing, I just have an uneasy feeling about all this. Get the scent of the deer and make sure you report to me once you've gotten another trace of it" Commanded Eric.

William walked up to the deer first and got a whiff of the scent and it was the same as the one he sniffed out earlier.

"Eric, I caught the same scent earlier today, right before I and Connor went to hunt" William said nervously.

"We did too" Miranda, Kent and Brent chorused.

"You guys picked it up earlier huh, well you guys buckle up and brace yourselves" Eric encouraged them.

"Make sure you hold your perimeter line and track down that scent. Understood?"

"Sir yes sir!" the rest of the pack replied.

They all disembarked and went back to their assigned positions. Eric was the last to leave and he felt a presence that caused an uneasiness within his soul and when he turned around, he finally saw it. He locked eyes and stared at it trying to intimidate it but it just smiled. He growled deeply at it showing his anger before it took off as it ran away, Eric turned around and went to meet up with Linda. Eric had something that he was keeping away from the rest of the pack but how long can he keep the secret away from them before they find out.
