Chapter 68 - Poison gym, Koga vs Itsuki part 1
Koga was the Gym Leader of Fuchsia City's Gym. He is a student of ninjutsu who specializes in Poison-type Pokémon. He handed out the Soul Badge to Trainers who defeated him.

After eating, Itsuki directly went to the Fuchsia City gym. Itsuki was now standing in front of a wooden house.
Itsuki was about to press the bell but then a heard a voice.
"Fwahahaha! A mere child like you dares to challenge me? That very idea makes me shiver with mirth! Very well, I shall show you true terror as a ninja master! Opponents can't lay a hand on me, as poison brings their steady doom. Despair as you feel the creeping horror of Poison-type Pokémon!"

Itsuki recognized this man. He was Koga. Koga is a man with black spiky hair. He usually wears dark ninja outfits, along with a red scarf.
"I haven't challenged you yet. And for the record I am not a child. I am legally an adult." Itsuki said by giving Koga a cold look. Koga didn't seems to care about Itsuki's words.
"Kid, my age is almost 4 times bigger than yours so don't tell me who is adult here. Come with me." Itsuki certainly didn't liked the way Koga was talking with him.

Koga took Itsuki to the battlefield which was located inside of his wooden house. There Itsuki met another young girl same age as him wearing red ninja uniform. 'This must be Koga' s daughter. She will act as the referee of this match.' Itsuki just looked her and then stopped looking at her.

Just like previous times, Itsuki stood opposite facing Koga. "This battle will be 2 v 2 Pokémon battle. Only the challenger is allowed to switch Pokémon. The match will end when either of trainers Pokémon is unable to continue. Battle begins."
Itsuki waited for Koga to take out his Pokémon. Koga's earlier attitude has made Itsuki have a bad impression of him so Itsuki wanted to defeat Koga quickly and leave this place.

"Go Venomoth!" Venomoth is a purple moth Pokémon. The eyes of Venomoth are black and much smaller than its pre-evolved form. Venomoth has two white fangs protruding from its mouthpart. Venomoth has a head, thorax, and abdomen, unlike some other Bug Pokémon. The wings of Venomoth are larger than its body, with the top sections of its wings being much larger than the bottoms. Its shiny incarnation has a pale blue wing coloration on its head and upper body, whereas its lower body (abdomen) and legs are a light brown.
Venomoth have the ability Shield Dust. Shield Dust negates all side effects of attacks.

'Who should I choose? Riolu or Eevee? Obviously Eevee since her fire attacks will have double affect on Venemonth.' Itsuki thought after seeing Venemonth stats. "Come out Eevee!"
Eevee!
"Eevee start the battle with flamethrower." Eevee opened her mouth and spit a powerful blast of flame at Venemoth.

"Dodge and use Supersonic." Venemoth dodged the flamethrower. Venomoth's eyes glow blue and it releases blue sound waves from its body.
Koga smile and said. "Venemoth Leech Life." Itsuki clenched his fist tightly and looked at Venemoth. 'Supersonic is a move that confuses the opponent. Currently Eevee is also confused. But'

"Eevee use double team." But Eevee can execute her attacks even though she cannot hit her opponent due to confusion.
The whole battlefield was filled with Eevee which Venemoth confused.
"Venemoth use Gust." Eevee flaps its wings at a high speed and creates a strong gust of wind towards Eevee.
Eevee! All the double teams of Eevee disappeared and the real Eevee was struggling not to get carried away by the strong wind.

"Eevee use Dig."
Eevee immediately used dig to escape from the gust attack.
"Venemoth fly higher and be alert. Eevee can out anytime and from anywhere." Koga worriedly said.
'The confuse affect should have been worn off by now. So it's time to counter attack.' Itsuki thought.

"Eevee use double team and come out of the ground."
Eevee!
Bunch of Eevee came out of the ground and spread within the battlefield. This move made Koga and his daughter very worried.
"Now use Flamethrower" Eevee opened her mouth and spat fire blast from her mouth. Venemoth saw flamethrower was coming from every Eevee which made it confused and left no place for dodging.

Boom!
Venemoth directly took the power of flamethrower. Venemoth fell down on the ground, his wings and some parts of his body had black burning marks.
"Venemoth are you alright?" Koga asked in worry..
Venemoth! Nodded his head.
"Good. Now use Supersonic."

Hearing Koga's words Itsuki reacted very quickly. "Eevee hurry up and use dig." Koga smiled bitterly since Eevee has hid herself underground she was not affected by the Supersonic. Venemoth wings was injured so it couldn't fly for some time.
Crack!
The ground beneath Venemoth cracked. Koga knew what this meant.

"Venemoth quickly move from your position using your wings." Koga anxiously ordered.
"Too late. Eevee use flamethrower." Venemoth body was injured so it couldn't move as fast as before. Eevee appeared behind Venemoth and hit him with another flamethrower.
Boom!
When the black smoke cleared, Venemoth had lost its consciousness and its body was severely burned.

Sigh!
Koga sighed as he feed Venemoth a healing portion and then recalled Venemoth to its Pokeball.
"Thank you for your hard work." Koga.
'I only managed to win because I was able to counter almost every move of Venemoth. Except for the Supersonic attack. Fortunately, my plan worked and Eevee managed to avoid the 2nd Supersonic by escaping in the underground.'

'If I remember correctly Koga's next Pokémon should be Crobat.' Itsuki had researched a bit before coming to fight Koga. Itsuki felt knowing his opponent Pokémon would give him time to prepare himself as well.
"Come out Crobat." Koga threw his Pokeball and Crobat came out.

Crobat is a purple bat-like creature with triangular pointed ears, red eyes with yellow sclera and two pairs of wings with greenish blue membranes, which allow it greater flight capabilities, and smaller feet. Near the upper wings are two clawed fingers. It has bared teeth.
Despite having a fierce appearance, it actually has a docile nature and doesn't become enraged easily, as long as it doesn't get disturbed when sleeping in daytime.

'Crobat is the real deal. I am not sure if Eevee can really defeat it. Just with his moves, it has to potential to defeat even high level Pokémon. Koga must have put lots of afford in raising his Crobat. I have to cautious. I cannot let Eevee get hit with Crobat attacks.' Itsuki felt very excited for this battle. Itsuki could feel his adrenaline being triggered.

'The difference between a level 30 and a level 35 attack is very large. It's like comparing a 15 years boy with a 25 years old adult.' Itsuki cannot even began to imagine how many trainers Koga defeated with his Crobat.
"Eevee use double team then use Flame Charge." Itsuki was hoping to increase Eevee speed my using Flame charge..

Flame covered Eevee body. The battlefield turned red due to all the clones of Eevee using Flame charge like the original.
"Go." Itsuki shouted. Koga however looked very calm and even was smiling slightly. This showed how much confidence Koga had in his Crobat.
"Crobat use Aerial Ace." Crobat body engulfed in streaks of white light and then he flew towards all the Eevee jumping at him at very fast speed, leaving a white light behind.

Crobat easily destroyed all the double teams then hit into Eevee which sent her flying. Eevee directly crushed on the wooden wall behind Itsuki. Even the wooden wall had cracked due the impact.
Eevee!
Itsuki saw Eevee was in very bad shape. Her body was bleeding badly but she still tried to stand up. But Itsuki couldn't bear to see Eevee fight a impossible to win battle.

"Eevee thank you. Leave the rest to your siblings." Eevee weakly nodded her head and then fainted. Itsuki walked up to Eevee and picked her up in his arms. After feeding her a recovery portion, Itsuki put her in the Pokeball.

"Come out Zera." Itsuki threw his strongest Pokémon.
Zera came out and glared at Crobat. She had sensed what Crobat had done to Eevee by using Aura. Blue lightning sparks was already coming from her body.
"What Pokémon is this?" Koga and his daughter exchanged glanced of curiosity.

"Koga you're about to be destroyed."
