Chapter 96 - Indigo League; Ice-cream and meeting Brock

Finn words were clearly heard throughout the stadium. The crowd turned silent once again before giving Finn a loud cheer which showed that the crowd also agreed and supported Finn.

Lance and Lorelei smiled because there was at least someone who didn't feared Oak and openly talked about him. "We have to nurture this young man. I will get his contact info. Maybe we can put our resources on him and build him up as the third option for Kanto. He might even the next generation elite member." Lorelei also agreed with Lance. Both can see that Finn had potential to become a great trainer.

As for Ash, he was gritting his teeths in anger. Because of Finn said was the truth and there was nothing he could say to deny that except getting angry.

Finn ignored Ash and walked to the back stage. In an honesty Finn was mentally tired and wanted some good rest. Finn is the kind of man who loved freedom and wanted travel the world. He only participated in the league because this was the most safest and beneficial method of earning money for him.

Meanwhile Itsuki and Serena walked out of them Stadium. Itsuki already has heard the announcement about Finn's defeat. 'I guess I won't able to fight Finn anymore.' Finn was kind of depression but he quickly cheered himself as the girl named Serena was following him.

"Serena what do you want to eat? I was thinking of getting an ice-cream." Itsuki was wearing a cap to cover his face and the crowd was always busy so no one noticed Itsuki.

"Then let's eat ice-cream." Itsuki suddenly took Serena's hand which made Serena cheeks slightly red.

Itsuki didn't looked at her face instead looked at the huge number of crowd in front of them. "Serena stay close to me. Also don't let go of my hand." Serena nodded her head and walked with Itsuki.

"Serena do you have any future plans?" Itsuki curiously while walking towards the ice-cream stall which was located at the other side of the street.

There were many others food street food shops on the other side of the street. Itsuki could see that the street shops were really selling well. People were literally standing in long lines just to buy the fast food.

"I don't know. My mother wants me to become a racer like her but I don't like racing at all. But I do have interest in becoming a designer. I was even thinking of joining a course and learn from a professional. But for now my plans are undecided." Serena was thinking of joining designer course few days before she met Itsuki. Serena even had talked with her mother about it. But after meeting Itsuki, Her plans changed. Serena wanted to travel with him and be with him.

Even though she had no interest in becoming a trainer. Serena didn't mind becoming something she didn't like if that meant she could travel with the person she liked. 'If I become a designer then I won't able to see or travel with Itsuki.' That's why Serena's future plans were undecided.

Serena looked at Itsuki; his back, his board shoulders, his black hair, Serena was attracted to his man. She was even ready to leave her own carrier path just to be with this man.

"Maybe you can become a Pokémon performer." From what Itsuki remembers, Serena was one of the most famous and talented performer of Kalos region. In the story, it took a while for Serena to find her path and interest in Pokémon Performer. Itsuki didn't mind showing her the path that she was going to walk on in future.

Serena felt she could give some serious thoughts on her option of becoming a pokémon performer. "A Pokémon performer? Huh... It looks interesting but I have no confidence in my looks." Serena said the last part looking at Itsuki. She was hoping to be complimented by the person she liked.

"Confidence?" Itsuki turned his face and looked at Serena's face and honestly said. "I think you're one of the most beautiful girl I have ever seen."

Serena checks turned red slightly. Serena felt really sweet and her heart was full of honey.

"Really? You're not lying to make me happy are you?" Serena asked.

Itsuki smiled and turned his head to the front. "I have visited the 8 famous cities of Kanto. I have seen countless girls but non of the girls had your level beauty." Serena was really happy but Itsuki's compliment.

Serena didn't see the smiling face of Itsuki. Itsuki naturally knew that Serena had feelings for him but he was not ready yet. Serena had left a big impression on Itsuki when they first met in the summer camp. Itsuki had not expected Serena to remember about him. Itsuki was surprised when Serena recognized him even after all those years.

'I want to take things slowly. No one is going to anywhere. Also I need time to sort out my feelings.'

While talking Serena and Itsuki reached the ice-cream shop. Itsuki and Serena was greeted by an old man in his 50s.

"Welcome! What Ice-cream flavors you two want? We have Vanilla, chocolate, Banana, Cherry Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Black Raspberry Chip, Mango." Itsuki felt this old man has been training to say all the flavors names in a single breathe.

"Grandpa, I want black Raspberry Chip flavor." Itsuki then looked at Serena who looked conflicted not knowing what to choose.

After few minutes of thinking, unable to decide anything Serena went with the first option. "Vanilla"

Itsuki then paid the old man as the old man gave them a square shaped card which had a number written 1122.

"I am sorry but you two will have to wait in the line." Itsuki and Serena had no problem with waiting.

Itsuki and Serena was about to walk to stand in the line but then Itsuki saw a familiar figure also standing at the back of the line.

"Hey brock!" Brock looked back and saw Itsuki holding the hand of one of the most beautiful girl he seen ever seen in his life. Under the sad and depressed gaze of Brock, Itsuki and Serena walked and stood behind Brock.

"Hey Brock! How is everything going for you?" Itsuki extended his right hand for a handshake.

"Itsuki, everything is going well. I must thank you for using that video to get me out of the jail." Brock also extended his right hand and firmly shook hand with Itsuki.

"I never said it was me." Itsuki replied with a smile.

"Well you're not denying either." Brock countered with a smirk on his face.

Brock then looked at Serena and then looked at Itsuki, asking for an introduction. "Itsuki I never thought even you would get a girlfriend before me."

Brock face expression changed within second to looking depressed and sad.

"Ahem!" Itsuki slightly coughed and replied. "Her name is Serena and she is from Kalos Region. Also Serena is my childhood friend and also my neighbor." Serena was slightly disappointed that Itsuki told Brock the truth about their relationship.

"Oh!" The expression on Brock's face again changed. He now felt relieved and happy.

"I am Brock, gym leader of Pewter city." Serena nodded her head. "Hello! Brock."

"So What are you doing here?" Itsuki asked.

"What do you mean by that? I am here for the same reason as you. To eat Ice-cream." Itsuki raised his eyebrow and seriously looked at Brock.

"Look at the line. There are at least 25 people standing on the line. And you're the only one who is single." Brock's mouth twitched hearing Itsuki's words.

"There is no rule saying that I can't came to buy Ice-cream if I am single."

"Who knows?" Itsuki could see that the girls on the line was keeping a distance from Brock and also giving Brock a disgusted look from time to time.

"Man don't spray salt on my wounds. I am trying my 100 percent to find a girlfriend. But no girl ever takes a liking to my handsome face."

"____" Itsuki

Serena:- "Narcissist."

"Anyway moving on, I was looking for you." Itsuki and Serena curiously looked at Brock.

"Why?"

"I wanted to ask you if you're interested in coming to Venice with me after the Indigo League." Brock had officially given his gym leader position back to his father.

"Vince? Why? Don't you have your gym leader duties to fulfill?"

"I forgot to mention it but after this Indigo League I am temporarily retiring from the gym leader position. My old man has returned recently home after many years. So I no longer have to take care of my small brothers and sisters and I can also retire from the gym leader position."

"When I was small I had a dream to become the best breeder Pokémon of the world because my old man suddenly left without saying anything I had to step up to take over his responsibilities. After 5 long years, my old man has returned back home and now I can finally focus on my dream. I want to go to Vince because I felt I can learn many things from there. I was hoping if you could came with me since you know traveling alone is not fun."
