Chapter 148 - Meeting Latios, Alto Mare under attack

"Latias, where is this place?" Itsuki even though he had a little bit of idea where he and Sabrina was. The Secret Garden is where Latias and Latios reside and it is located near the museum. The Secret Garden was kept hidden from the residence of the Alto Mare. This Garden was also the heart and core of Alto Mare. Therefore other than some Latias, Latios, and the protector of this garden, no foreigners were allowed to come to this place.

Instead of replying, Latias transformed into her human form shocking Sabrina in the process, human Latias walked up to Itsuki and grabbed his hand. She then pointed in the south direction.

Both Itsuki and Sabrina turned right only to see only jet-like Pokemon flying toward them.

Latios!!

Latios looks similar to Latias, though he is blue and a bit larger; he is also similar to Lugia. Latios has an upside-down, white teardrop shape in the center of his blue face. In the middle of his chest, Latios has a red triangle, much like Latias', which is blue, showing in some way they are related. Latios and Latias both serve as guardians.

Latios comes with the ability Levitate, which causes Ground-type moves to always miss except for the move Sand Attack. Latios can fold in his arms and fly at the speed of a jet. He can also make foes see images he has seen or what he imagines in his head. He can understand human speech and be able to communicate with telepathy. Even if he is hiding, Latios can detect the locations and emotions of others using telepathy. Latios can also refract light around him to make him appear invisible unless the light strikes him just right. Latios is the only known Pokémon that learns Luster Purge. [Luster Purge deals damage and may lower the target's Sp. Def by one stage.]

Latios! [Latias, why did you bring outsiders to this place? Did you forget, that bringing outsiders to this place is forbidden?] Latias and Latios had no idea that Itsuki could understand the Pokemon language.

"Please don't worry. I swear to not tell another soul about this garden." For a moment Latias and Latios looked at Itsuki in shock.

Latias? [You can understand us.] Latias looked astonished.

"I had this strange ability to communicate with Pokemon for as long as I can remember. "Itsuki then turned to Latios. "I don't know what importance this garden holds for you two but Sabrina and I promise we won't tell anyone about this place. We're grateful to Latias for bringing us here and seeing a completely different and hidden part of this beautiful city."

"I promise to not tell anyone either." Sabrina also followed along with Itsuki.

Latios! [Hmph! Why should I trust you, humans? Humans are the most cunning and dangerous species. Give me a reason to believe in you.]

Latias! [Brother! Please stop. I bought them here because I trust them.]

Latios! [Little Sister, you're too naive. What if these two people reveal information about this place. Even if they don't us, someone else will with the information.] Latios then turned to look at Itsuki. [Human gives me a reason on why I should trust you with the very secret that we swore to protect.]

For a moment Itsuki didn't know what he should say that would help in gaining Latio's trust. "Look, we're here from the Kanto region....Latios!

Itsuki was interrupted by a panicked voice. Itsuki, Sabrina, Latios, and Latios looked at the girl who had just come running with a panicked face.

Latios! [Bianca what happened?] Latios flew to Binance and asked.

Bianca is a tall fair-skinned, short-haired girl. Her hair is reddish-brown. She wears a white artist's hat on her head, a short green shirt with a white skirt, as well as black socks, and pink shoes.

"A giant monster has appeared at the coast and now attacking the normal citizen. The beast is very powerful. The cops alone couldn't even stop one attack from the monster. If this keeps going on then the whole Alto Mare might get destroyed.

Latios! [As the guardian of Alto Mare, I cannot allow this city to be destroyed. Latias you keep a watch over them and do not let them leave until I come back.] Without giving any chance of replying Latios left the secret garden.

Bianca stared at Itsuki for a moment. Seeing how handsome Itsuki was her heartbeat become faster. Her cheeks slightly turned red.

"I don't think I am going to just wait for good news. Latias please take me to the coast. Maybe I can stop the monster." Latias sensing Itsuki's current sincere emotions decided to take Itsuki.

Latias then transformed back into Pokemon and stopped in front of Itsuki. Itsuki was about to get on her back but Sabrina stopped him. "Wait. take this mask with you. You don't want people to recognize you."

Taking the black mask that covered Itsuki's eyes, nose, and cheeks, Itsuki sat on Latias back.

Swoosh!

Latias and Itsuki left leaving behind a trail of dust. Both Bianc and Sabrina awkwardly stared at each other in silence.

Cough! "Let's save the introduction for later. Right now come with me."

Within 10 seconds, Latios arrived at the coast only to see a giant Dragonite of 8 meters in size made out of metal.

Latios [What the hell is this?]

The robot Dragonite was flying in the air and attacking whoever stood in its way. The robot stopped attacking when Latios appeared. The robot turned to look in Latios's direction as it opened its mouth to fire a beam of energy toward Latios.

Seeing the Dragonite robot was preparing to fire a beam of energy toward him, Latios also opened his mouth and fired a purple beam of energy.

Luster Purge!

Booooooomm!

Both beam-type attacks collided in the air causing a huge explosion. The explosion sound was heard all over Alto Mare.

Latios flew up in the air, above the robotic Dragonite that was also floating in the air but its flying speed was very slow.

Flying above the robotic Dragonite, Latios again fired a purple beam of energy at the robot's head.

Luster Purge!

But Just when the attack was about to touch the Dragonite robot, a barrier made up of blue energy protected the Dragonite body.

Itsuki who just arrived at the scene stared at the robot Dragonite in shock. "How the hell is this possible?" Itsuki looked at the robot with a look of disbelief. The reason Itsuki looked so shaken was that the robot was using Aura to make that defensive barrier. "How can a machine use Aura? This does not make any sense." Latias didn't understand what Itsuki was talking about so she choose to be quiet for now.

'System, scan the robot's body and try to find if any human is operating the robot from inside.'

[Scanning....]

"Latias while your brother keeps the robot occupied, you help the citizen leave this area. But don't show yourself to others. Just be invisible while helping others." Itsuki jumped on one of the roofs of a house built near the coast.

Seeing that his attacks are not working, Latios decided to use another power. Latios eyes started to glow in purple light. He then used her psychic powers to restrict the robot's movement and used a part of his powers to keep the robot's mouth shut.

Latios was about to use her psychic powers to rip off the robot's arms and wings but then 25 missiles from the robot's wings were fired at Latios which completely caught her off guard. Latios wasn't expecting this at all.

Boooom!

At the very last moment, Latios used her psychic powers to make the missiles explode before the missiles reach her. But Latios had underestimated the powers of the missiles. As a result, when 25 missiles exploded together, Latios was also caught in the explosion.
