Chapter 66 - “This unfilial daughter greets Mother.”

Chappy 66 - "This unfilial daughter greets Mother."

The door to the basement was opened, showing a dimly lit room where numerous breathings overlapped each other. It was the room where Kenjiki had placed the tired girls who couldn't wake up or even move after doing it for so long.

Being a half-vampire, Kyoka had a stronger healing factor than the rest, allowing her to wake up first and noticed the sight around her. Where more than five other girls slept alongside her, with Momo hugging her body tightly.

Escaping from her embrace with quite the difficulty, she went upstairs and looked at Kenjiki who was watching TV with someone she had never seen.

Subsequently, Kenjiki noticed her presence and called her name.

"Did you have a good sleep?" Kenjiki smiled, looking at her bedhead, and signaled her to sit beside him. "It took you quite some time to wake up."

Kyoka tilted her head, unsure whether she had slept for that long for him to say something like that.

"You've been down there for a whole day." Kenjiki dropped a surprising fact.

"Did I?" Kyoka was quite shocked to hear that she had slept for a day. "So, who is this woman?"

However, she didn't care about the time she spent sleeping, and instead narrowed her eyes towards the woman who was sitting beside him.

Xianyun glanced at her when she realized that she was brought into the conversation. However, instead of immediately introducing herself, she looked back at her with her usual uninterested gaze for a whole minute before she had the mood to open her mouth.

"So you're the new girl he brought in." Xianyun continued to scrutinize her from her toes to head. "Are you starting to like younger girls now, Dear?"

The topic suddenly shifted in an instant, baffling Kenjiki for how she arrived at this conclusion.

Even Kyoka wasn't immune to this, because she was just thinking about who this woman was and why she had never seen her before. But without her realizing it, the topic suddenly changed into this.

"I like everyone, especially if they're women." Kenjiki said such a shameful statement without feeling embarrassed by it.

To which Xianyun only sighed hearing his answer, because only he would be able to say something like that and they would find it make sense, despite the statement being something that no one would utter in front of someone.

Seeing that he had already found a way to dodge the bullet, she didn't try to push forward on that topic and instead called for Kyoka to sit beside her instead of him.

"I'm Xianyun, what about you?" Xianyun introduced herself to Kyoka.

Realizing that Xianyun seemed to have more say in the house compared to him, Kyoka deviated from her supposed destination and sat down beside her.

"My name is Kyoka Jiro, someone who Kenjiki left behind right after drinking my blood." Kyoka faked a tear and snuggled herself onto Xianyun. "He didn't even bother to say anything even though he's still alive the whole time."

"Oh really~?" Xianyun understood what she was trying to do and turned to look at him. "What's your defense for making your woman cry?"

The alliance between the two caused him to dread.

Since Xianyun was the only one to always want to find something against him to protest his selfish reincarnation which left them lonely for eons until he finally was reborn.

"It was because of the looming threat caused by someone who was intrigued by her mutation. Since it was the first and only case where someone's quirk suddenly manifested an entirely different trait." Kenjiki braced himself for the impact.

"Lies." Xianyun chuckled at his attempt. "In what world does the Great Crimson God ever feel threatened by someone?"

It was simply unbelievable when he didn't even flinch when a cosmic being waged a war against him. But now, he felt threatened when someone who probably couldn't touch him wanted to touch someone he liked? It was laughable.

What's more, the last time someone ever tried to flirt with one of his women. Kenjiki wiped clean a whole solar system just to make an example for anyone who had similar thoughts.

"What if the Great Crimson God wasn't reborn with his previous power?" Kenjiki threw another point at her.

Unfortunately for him, Xianyun didn't back down.

"You talk as if the two of your personal maids won't help you." Xianyun shook her head at his futile attempt.

"Back then I didn't know anything about my previous life as Vulcane." Kenjiki remembered the early days of his life. " All I know is that I am now Kenjiki Shinketsu, a Vampire Fledgling, who couldn't even use my power properly. For god knows how long, I depended my life on Nagant to protect me until my 'quirk' wouldn't kill me every time I used it."

Instead of directly speaking like before, Xianyun looked at him with a mellow expression and smiled before pulling him to her embrace where she hugged the two of them at the same time.

"At least you know why you did it." Xianyun beamed maternal love as she caressed the two of them. "Why don't you go out? Isn't it exhausting to spend all of your time in this place?"

"But where?" Kenjiki cooled down. "There isn't a place that I haven't gone to."

In the last 10 years or so of his life. Kenjiki and Nagant had traveled the world hunting the cockroach named All For One before such things got stale and unnecessary once they destroyed every piece of base AFO had built.

There's likely no place that he hadn't stepped on. Even if there was, the area around it probably had been marked by his smell from the exercise he had done using AFO as the target.

"Isn't there this new continent? I have never been there before." Kyoka suddenly brought up a place that appeared because of Cyrene's whim.

Kenjiki thought of the place for a bit. Sure he had gone there with Cyrene, but he had only explored one of the cities from the supposed twenty-six cities that littered all over the continent.

"When do you wanna go there?" Kenjiki looked at her, who was lying in Xianyun's embrace across from him.

"Tomorrow? Or should we invite the others?" Kyoka thought about her friends who were still in a deep sleep in the basement, oblivious to the outer world.

"Let them sleep. I pushed them too hard." Kenjiki chuckled, remembering how much they complained about how sore their bodies were. "Why don't we go after we take a shower?"

A grin appeared on his face as he suggested it, meanwhile, Kyoka was blushing as her body was picked by him who summoned The Door with Xianyun's Mount as the destination.

When she realized that they were about to take a bath together, in an open hot spring. Kyoka blushed even harder as she allowed him to undress her.

While all of this was taking place. Xianyun sat there in the living room with an exhausted expression, watching how he could get on with it and flirt with her, and who knows what happened there once The Door Disappeared.

"A man of his words he says." Xianyun laughed at the disappearing The Door. "And why haven't you greeted your mother yet?"

Xianyun took a glance to the right, where Shenhe stood with no expression watching how the whole thing unfolded.

Upon being noticed by her, Shenhe walked up to her and kneeled in front of her.

"This unfilial daughter greets Mother." Shenhe buried her face in Xianyun's thigh.

"I thought you had forgotten about me." Xianyun smiled as she caressed her head. "What have you been doing these days? You haven't gone up the mountain for a while. Your sister misses you."

"I'm currently busy keeping an eye on something that master calls Lifeblood." Shenhe explained what she had done for these few days without hiding anything.

A caring smile appeared on Xianyun's face as she continued to listen to her daughter's story. However, her smile froze when Lifeblood was mentioned.

But she decided to be silent and allowed her to continue the story.

"At least you're not busy gurgling his cock." Xianyun picked Shenhe's body up and sat her down on the couch. "But, who is that you brought here? Another of his women?"

Xianyun turned her head in the direction where Shenhe had come from previously. There, was Mirko who was unsure what to do as she witnessed something she shouldn't have.
