Chapter 71 - Alien Invasion

Chappy 71 - Alien Invasion

--[--]...[--]--

"An alien spaceship?" Tatsumaki, someone who had experienced many bizarre things in her whole career as a hero, had never seen anything of this scale.

Much less a whole spaceship she had only ever seen in a sci-fi film.

Other than that, Tatsumaki finally realized what had happened to the three bird people from before. A grotesque amalgamation of faces suddenly appeared where the bird people died, holding a big hammer-- no, not holding, more precisely a hammer-arm.

It seemed to be wiping the blood off the hammer, as it was looking onto them and the roof of the building. Which confused Tatsumaki of what it was looking at, only to lay her eyes on three civilians standing atop the roof.

Wait, since they could be there. They might not be a civilian, but at least a staff of Hero Association with quite high clearance to be allowed to get there.

"Do you recognize those people?" Tatsumaki looked back into the meeting room and pointed towards the roof.

Only to realize that no one could see what she was seeing, since she used her telekinetic power to expand her senses and see what was going on up there.

Like Tatsumaki had just thought.

"What people?" Metal Bat hung on the wall and tried to see where Tatsumaki pointed at, only to see walls and nothing more. "Are you talking about that monster?"

"Not that, the other side." Tatsumaki left them behind as she flew upwards to the roof, only to see three unknown people touching their chin as they observed the monster in front of them. "Who are you guys? I suggest that you evacuate the area as we the heroes will handle the monsters."

While the heroes followed Tatsumaki's path and climbed up using their own ways, such as the flashy guy who straight up ran on the wall as if gravity was just a construct, while the metal bat holder imitated a certain Spiderman, while another normal-looking guy wearing a trench coat went the other way and took an elevator up.

Saitama who had been waiting hours to look cool found himself alone in the room with Genos who was waiting for him to move.

"Let's go." Saitama got out of his seat and only just now realized a person in the room. "It's you! Are you a S-Class hero?"

"Well, no. But wait for a bit as the real thing comes down, oh and you might want to sit down for a bit." Kenjiki smiled, confusing everyone who was still in the room.

But they didn't have any time to ask. The whole building was shaken by an earthquake, causing a few pieces of furniture to fly out from the hole in the wall and anyone who was standing to be flung around.

The one who seemed to be unaffected by this was Saitama who was able to ground his feet onto the floor the whole time the earthquake rampaged through the city.

Thankfully, the earthquake only lasted for a few seconds letting everyone take a breather.

Unfortunately for everyone outside the Hero Association headquarters, they couldn't even realize what had happened to them when they suddenly lost their consciousness and lives respectively.

"It might be a good time to go out." Kenjiki got out of his seat and summoned The Door and left them behind.

Seeing that Kenjiki disappeared the moment he stepped into The Door, everyone who was still in the room took the opportunity and approached it and poked their head into it, only to realize that it brought them to the roof.

"What kind of space-bending ability is this?" A hunchbacked old man poked his head out of The Door and went inside once it was deemed to be safe. "Are you a psychic like that girl?"

The old man approached Kenjiki who was sitting on the edge of the roof, and just then realized three girls were clinging onto him, which reminded him of his younger years in this world.

"It works the same way, but not the same thing." Kenjiki turned to look at the old man. "Look at the city."

The previously bustling city had just gotten even busier than before, though the humans had been replaced by destroyed buildings that were scattered everywhere.

A city full of people instantly became rubbles, not allowing the heroes to do anything to prevent it from happening.

"An alien spaceship, huh? Didn't expect to see one in this life." The old man looked up towards the sky, where there was only a metallic-looking structure from one horizon to another. "You seemed to know this would happen, who are you?"

It was already suspicious for Kenjiki to appear in front of them just a minute before something like this happened. But their suspicion was strengthened by the fact that he warned them about the earthquake that likely caused the city to crumble to pieces.

"Someone who needs entertainment." Kenjiki smiled and tapped Shenhe on the shoulder. "Do something to that one."

Without further ado, Shenhe nodded and brought out her polearm. Polearm in hand, she twisted her leg and pulled back her right arm, with the muscular monster as her target, she threw the polearm.

Because she deliberately took her time in throwing the polearm, everyone was able to see what she was doing, and they were confused as to where she stored that polearm. They were more focused on the monster who got pierced right in its chest, leaving a massive gaping hole.

"What's this?" The monster looked down on its chest.

While this kind of injury couldn't possibly deal any significant damage to him, the cold feeling that spread outwards from the hole was different, which shocked the monster who realized that his torso was frozen.

Realizing if he wasted any more time just looking at it, the monster swung his arm-hammer and blasted his chest to prevent the strange cold feeling from spreading any further.

"It's that creature isn't it?" The monster looked at the trajectory of the polearm and deduced that Shenhe was the one who threw the polearm.

Its body grew back, only with one minor difference. There's a spear-shaped flesh sticking out his stomach, to which he broke off and repaid the damage Shenhe had done to him by throwing the spear.

"A spear, it imitated you." Kenjiki widened his eyes in surprise, watching the spear fly in their direction, though he didn't seem to be bothered to care about it.

Since there was his strongest guard by his side, Shenhe raised her hand and caught the spear with ease, stopping it in its trajectory inches away from the target.

"How disgusting." Shenhe froze the fleshy spear merely due to its disgusting texture. "Get your flesh back."

Thanks to the freezing she did to the spear, it had gotten harder than ever which allowed it to pierce the flesh where it came from.

Hundreds of meters away from the roof, there stood a singular head that had the look of disbelief. However, it seemed that the attack wasn't that effective since the monster was able to regenerate his body in seconds.

The heroes sucked the air in shock watching what had just happened. Only now realizing that these unknown people were stronger than they initially thought.

Contrasting their young look, they seemed to be calm even though they were facing the might of a monster. Causing them to think that these guys must be at least as strong as them, or at least a bit weaker.

They had long stopped being wary of them since they seemed to be on the other side of the monsters, and that's all it took for Kenjiki to stop being someone who might become their enemy.

Though, for some people, this suspicion never disappeared and instead got stronger when Shenhe showed her strength.

"Geryuganshoop!! Kill those people for me!" The monster shouted at the top of his lungs and realized that he was brought down to the ground by a psychic power. "Just rain down all of the bombs!"

Just now he realized that these creatures were harder to deal with than he first expected. Especially the one who threw the spear back at him and that small green-haired creature who had the same power output compared to Geryuganshoop.

"Are you sure?" Geryuganshoop asked for the last time, as its ally was still on the ground.

"Just do it!!" The monster shouted and swung his arm when he realized that someone was approaching him.

Before it could react to what just happened, it felt that his arm was detached from his shoulder and was cut into pieces smaller than atoms.

"What are you shouting at?" A typical stoic samurai appeared in front of the monster, waving his toothpick around before putting it back into his mouth.

Other than him, the other heroes had also got down on the ground and circled the monster. Knowing that it could regenerate even only from its head, and such a small wound of getting his arm cut into thousands of pieces would likely not do anything.

Meanwhile, the roof was still inhabited by a few people who were watching the whole thing unfold from up there.

Kenjiki looked around, looking for a certain person who should've been there. But seeing that he was nowhere around, Saitama must've slipped when everyone was busy watching the show.

"Are you not going there?" Kenjiki turned to look at Tatsumaki who was still floating in the air near them.

"No, I am keeping an eye on you." Tatsumaki said so without even bothering to look at him.

"Did I do anything bad for the Rank 2 S-Class hero to take interest in me?" Kenjiki chuckled, swinging his feet as he watched the fight down below.

Tatsumaki stood there in silence, face full of disdain for his easy-going attitude even though a city had just been leveled by aliens. But she couldn't be bothered to deal with him, because something was happening on the ship.

As the monster had requested from before, the spaceship started to glow brighter as time went by. Telling everyone who had some common sense that it was gathering some energy.

"Should I deal with those?" Kenjiki looked at her, sensing the ever-growing energies gathering at the bottom of the ship.

"Stay put and don't do anything suspicious." Tatsumaki grunted at his remarks.

As if on cue, the spaceship cannons shot bullets the size of a house.

"Where should we go after this? That baldy had gone there, so the big boss must've been defeated." Kenjiki looked at Kyoka who was still focusing on the raining bullets.

"Oh? Are you not going to bring her home?" Kyoka seemed to find it shocking for him to stop pestering Tatsumaki.

Kenjiki choked on his spit, shocked that he had gotten so low in his woman's eyes. Thinking as if he got possessed by something if he didn't want to have sex with every woman he sees.

Tatsumaki on the other hand was caught off guard by Kyoka's remark, but then realized what they meant. Kenjiki must've been thinking of bedding her when he approached her back in the meeting room.

"You thought I am easier to fool than them?" Tatsumaki roared and clenched both of her hands, stopping the humongous bullets in the air.

Leaving it hanging for everyone to see.
