Preparations

Instead of going back to the federation Mo Shan slept in the house of the plot he just obtained, this lowered his travel time by a bit and he wouldn't have to worry about things in the federation as much.

Early the next morning Mo Shan went back to the alchemy association to continue making potions for most of the morning and afternoon, only stopping once he had reached level 15. By now Mo Shan had around 2500 potions on him but he didn't take them to the trading hall this time, planning to sell them to the large guilds at night in bulk.

After finishing up Mo Shan first went towards an NPC store that sold some crafting materials and other general goods, leaving soon after with a couple dozen small blank scrolls made of a thin type of leather, which was quite the high end good considering it was just used for writing. After buying the scrolls Mo Shan went back to his residence and titled each and every one of them and wrote a couple lines of words on them depending on their contents.

Mo Shan knew he had done all that he could to prepare for the big guilds' arrival so he sent every representative whom he previously contacted about the meeting an additional message ignoring their earlier replies about the meeting.

[Mountain: the location of the meeting has changed, ask around for the adventurer's association and enter the residence on its right. There will be a "welcome large powers" doormat in front of the house. You can't miss it! I will be selling crucial information and answer any questions the big powers might have. And as a parting gift I will sell the world's first guild order token! The next one should not be obtainable before level 20, so bring your riches for me to see!

Yours truly, Mountain]

The youth in an old man's body was very satisfied with this message and complimented himself numerous times for having gone to buy that custom doormat on the way to his house. Otherwise if those large powers ended up entering the wrong house things could turn out awkward.

At the Lim family:

Old Lin, why did you call for another meeting? Did one of our core members get killed again? Or are you regretting your decision to go to that meeting in person later?" Another elderly man at the large meeting table said jokingly looking at the old man next to the current family head.

"Hahaha regret? Quite the opposite in fact, no one better be stealing this spot from me or I will kick him from the meeting!

Now, back to serious matters. I will let my granddaughter explain the reason for this meeting." The old man calmly announced whilst a prideful look couldn't be hidden upon mentioning his granddaughter.

"Esteemed elders and guild management. The top priority player "Mountain" has sent us another message, ignoring our previous replies. He changed the meeting location to another place in that middle rank city and also mentioned he will be selling some things tonight…" the girl audibly started to gasp for breath upon mentioning the last part and an elder couldn't help but want to ask more.

"Little flower, take some deep breaths. Don't worry, nothing you say will be able to scare us old fogeys. Just tell us what he will be selling later so we can deal with it appropriately.

"He will be selling…alledgedly crucial information and will respond to any question we have…" again taking a deep breath the beauty continued.

"And the world's first guild order token!"

Many audible gasps could instantly be heard since all the elders present had deep knowledge about games since they were the main form of entertainment and revenue for the last hundreds of years. The elder who spoke up earlier even stood up from his seat! Fully well realising hoe major this was.

Many elders were even giving angry stares to the elderly one who spoke up earlier saying he would kick anyone who wanted to take his place out. Now they finally understood why he was suddenly hell bent on going there!

The meeting ended up taking a long time whilst the Lin Family discussed all possible options and made preparations for them. Similar meetings were held in the other powers' headquarters. Nearly every power tier 2 and above was notified or had connections who informed them.

At around 5:30PM in Boundless the portal in the portal room was starting to light up and several individuals stepped out. This portal room was different from the large portal in the city center since these ones were for travel between cities, whilst the large one connected to the federation.

Several people had already gathered in the building and they swiftly greeted each-other upon seeing the newcomers who emerged right after or before them. Several famous individuals had even gathered around the elusive doormat already in front of Mo Shan's house. Yet none of them tried to enter yet since they were early by over half an hour.

Mo Shan was none the wiser of these early visitors and had long since gone back to the alchemy association to craft more potions and to think of some possible special things he might be able to accomplish depending on how the meeting with the guilds ended up going.

Mo Shan managed to finish up another 500 potions in these couple hours and by the time he came out he realised that it was already nearly 6PM, so he swiftly made his way down to the ground floor, which was a large hall where a couple alchemists were discussing potions and other matters, and quickly noticed a corner where a couple of men were seated, giving off a dangerous vibe. Mo Shan approached them and one of them introduced himself, clearly hinting that he was available for hire.

Sometimes alchemists and other lifestyle players would want some protection during their trips in and around the city, and that's where these guys came in. They were adventurers who were in service of the alchemists association. Their rental fee was quite high at one gold coin per day, but Mo Shan hired two of them nonetheless. There might be some guilds trying something funny and Mo Shan would literally cry himself to death if he were to get killed and lose everything. So these guys were just a small price to pay for a smooth evening.

The two introduced themselves to Mo Shan as they made their way to his residence and they did some small talk on the way just like any regular humans would. Mo Shan learned that these two were level 40 adventurers who had been living in this city for most their lives.

Mo Shan also informed them about their duties for the evening which surprised them greatly. Usually for the price of a gold coin alchemists would make them fight monsters or beasts outside the city in order to gather some alchemy ingredients, yet this elderly man just needed them to guard his home since he had a meeting with some bigshots from his hometown and was scared of them pulling anything funny.

They nearly thought Mo Shan was joking after hearing that the strongest person that could possibly try something funny would merely be level 5. But seeing how scared this old man was of dying made them develop a sense of duty and they swore to protect the precious old man at all costs!

Mo Shan even informed them that he would consider recruiting them for an entire month if they did their job well. Which is more than they usually earned in an entire year considering their high asking price of a gold coin per day per person.

Suddenly the two adventurers became alert upon hearing a massive crowd of people standing by the door of their client's home. And their eyes couldn't help but twitch. How was this "some bigshots"? There were over a hundred people here!

Mo Shan ignored his two bodyguards' reactions and made his way for the door. A youth instantly tried to block his way upon seeing the old man that was trying to steal his spot.

"Hey, everyone is waiting nicely why are you cutting in line old man?! I've never even seen your face before so you have to be from a tier 2 faction, get to the back of the crowd before I destroy your entire faction and you along with it!" The youth loudly exclaimed so many of the powers present would hear about a nobody trying to cut in line.

Mo Shan gave the youth a deep look and then proceeded to ignore him continuing his way to the door.

The youth wanted to complain again before he suddenly felt a large hand resting on his shoulder.

"How dare…." the youth was about to explode yet in the middle of his sentence he suddenly felt like he was being lifted up and shoved to the side. Others in front of the old man noticed what happened to the youth, who was a well known swordsman in other games, so they all promptly made way. Only the representatives of the nine big powers didn't budge from their spot in front of the door seemingly as if to warn the old man.

"May I pass please?" The old man calmly asked the crowd, who slowly seemed to realise and make the connection between the powerful bodyguards and the mysterious owner of the house. After which their looks of disgust promptly changed into looks of shock and respect.

One person amongst the crowd couldn't even hide her shock and exclaimed "WHAT? He's an old man!?"

Mo Shan couldn't ignore that remark though he wasn't offended by it and calmly replied as he was opening the door. "I'm not that old, people can change even their genders when making an account, let alone simply looking more aged like me."

The girl had no way to reply to that so she just kept silent under the stares of he elders.

"Everyone, please enter! The building is large enough to serve as a guild base, albeit a tiny one. But a small two hundred people should be able to fit without it feeling too crowded!" The old man said after opening the door and entered on his own with one of the two bodyguards. The other one stayed by the door and had already gotten the hint from Mo Shan about those who were welcome and those who weren't.

The respresentatives of the major powers all unhurriedly entered in their respective orders, the super guilds going first. After those came the representatives from the tier 3 powers and finally all the tier 2 powers also entered, taking up the back of the room.

"Brother He, please close the door. Let's start the meeting!"
