Good Instincts 1.9 - ING. VERSIÓN

-Around here- said Viggo, taking Kratos through a dark forest. There was a faint layer of mist that carried the scent of wet earth. The ground was soft, covered with moss, small plants and leaf litter. Viggo was advancing ahead, looking at the notorious marks left by the troll in his wake. Many broken branches and several huge footsteps. Viggo himself didn't even know why he had listened to his crazy master. He still remembers that monster from that time, it was almost as tall as the trees on the top of the mountain. However, even though his master was only one-fifth the size of the creature, he managed to beat him. Viggo still remembers how Kratos occupied a leaning tree to run, reach height and jump by lifting the axe with both hands, and then unloading it on the monster's head.

-Are you afraid?- asked Kratos.

-Yes, a lot could happen- replied Viggo, looking at the broken branches around a path among the trees.

-Do not suppose anything, stay alert and expect an attack-

-But it could be more terrible than just an attack-

-Wrong, focus on what it is and stay alert. Listen to me-

-Yes, master-

Viggo took a deep breath and bed down to put his hand on the footprint. Then he felt some warmth in the footsteps and knew they were very close.

-It must be about fifty or sixty meters- said Viggo looking forward -the problem is that I don't hear it- he closed his eyes and could hear the flow of a slope.

-So, it seems, well done- Kratos said, passing by. He patted her shoulder and continued to move forward –now it's your turn to look and learn as much as you can from my fight. I will ask you, so you should be attentive-

-Yes, sir- Viggo said. He stood up and followed him to the tail. Then he began to hear next to the current of the water a faint snoring -it seems that we are lucky- he commented

-I've already told you- Kratos replied quietly -don't assume anything, just focus on what it is and stay alert-

Kratos continued to advance through the forest and the fog gradually dispersed until it reached a precipice. He and Viggo stood on the shore and looked down. The bottom was covered by fog. After taking a good look, Kratos began to walk to the right and advanced until he could see the slope that descended from the mountain and went down the precipice producing a waterfall. At the same time, fifty meters from Kratos, in the middle of the trees was a large dark body. It looked like a small hill breathing and exhaling a faint snoring.

Kratos looked back and saw Viggo standing three meters behind him. Kratos took out the bow and the quiver and left it hanging on the branch of a tree that was two meters from the precipice. Then he took his right hand to the knob of his axe, on his back, and took it off the ring. He took the axe with both hands and took a big breath. Then Kratos looked at Viggo once again and waved his left hand to wait for him from where he was. Kratos then took his finger index and heart under the patches, then pointed to the hill that snored in the middle of the trees. Viggo nodded and Kratos moved forward crouching, trying to make as little noise as possible.

Viggo watched him from the edge of the precipice go once again into the forest. He approached where his master had left the bow and the loath hanging from a branch. Viggo narrowed his eyes, looking into the forest and trying to figure out whether his master was okay. The foliage of the trees was so thick that from this position only shadows could be seen. However, the closer his master got to the creature, the less his silhouette was noticeable, to the point that only spots were possible.

However, out of all the expectations Viggo had, all he heard was a beastly roar. Then there was a kind of tremor and Viggo noticed that the small hill stood up. Then he spread to the side and picked up something large, rectangular from the ground. Then, whatever he took from the ground, he lit up with intricate runic symbols and Viggo could finally see the creature. He was gray, huge, like an old, giant human. However, his physical construction was solid as if he were a great warrior. He also saw his master who, from being the bullying giant, became just a dwarf next to the Troll. Kratos with some luck reached his knee.

Viggo frowned and passed his sword from the left hand to the right. He held the handle with both hands and prepared to help his master as soon as necessary. His master had told him to trust his instinct and always be vigilant. At this moment, his instinct was screaming at him to run out without looking back.

For his part, Kratos had put an axe in the throat of the troll, but he had lacked the strength to reach the carotid. So he only managed to leave a bleeding wound on her neck. He may die of bleeding, but the idea was to kill him in one fell swoop. The plan had failed.

The troll, tall and imposing, looked at little Kratos and crooked down a little to roar in his face. Kratos could see huge jaws that could swallow half of a cow in one bite. He frowned and began to move sideways, looking to sneak through the trees and find some weak spot to exploit. However, before he could reach the first tree, the troll took his huge stone totem with both hands and occupied it as if it were a battering ram.

Kratos saw the huge face of the totem coming and jumped rolling to the right. The totem passed by, but the trees that received their onslaught flew out and fell off the cliff. Kratos stood up and started running. The troll retracted the totem to his body and took it on one end with both hands. Then he picked it up and with his huge arms, dropped it on Kratos' silhouette. He jumped again giving a bearing and avoided being crushed.

On the other hand, Viggo heard the terrible roar of the scourge and staggered from the telluric movement. At the same time, he noticed that part of the edge of the precipice crupped. Then Viggo decided to take the quiver with arrows and the bow of his master and walked into the forest while the wreathing's of the totem against the trees and the whipping against the ground continued. Viggo began to hear his master's battle cries. Despite being in a terrible place, Viggo smiled, as his master had told him to learn from his combat, but there was little that could be seen. If it weren't for the light emanating from the runes on the troll's totem, the silhouettes would hardly be seen.

-Aaaa- Kratos scream

Viggo gave a jump and heard a cracking of logs. Then he knew that his master had caught a bad rhythm. He advanced in the direction of the light of the totem, passing between the covers that the trees could provide him and reached five meters from the giant. The troll was standing with the totem on his right shoulder while Kratos was standing in front of him. He was wearing a broken nose, a thread of blood coming out of his nostrils and a furious look. However, he looked good, Viggo thought. Then he noticed how his master channeled his energy and the blood and rasmillions were healing. However, in the middle of the process, the troll raised his totem and dropped it on Kratos. He saw his healing process interrupted and had to roll to the right and start running.

Viggo thought that the most logical thing would be to assist him so that he could heal. So, he left his master's quiver and bow to the side and moved between the coverings provided by the trees. When he was behind the giant, he waited for the troll to attack, and he didn't delay in acting. The next instant troll raised his totem and whipped the ground with all his strength. Then Viggo took advantage while the troll raised the totem again and ran raising his sword. He got behind his right knee and made a horizontal cut with the powerful sword forged by his father. The troll's leg received a large cut from behind the knee and the troll fell supporting the knee and the totem on the ground. Viggo was overjoyed a lot, he thought he had made a big move. However, losing his vigilance, he did not see the troll's huge left hand. Who searched for whatever was behind him, captured Viggo and carried him in front of him face.

-Boy- Kratos roared, ran with all his might towards the troll, but the latter was faster and threw Viggo into the air. The next instant, Kratos jumped up and threw a powerful axe into his throat and cut his jugular. The troll fell on his back generating a great rumble and Kratos ran to see where Viggo had fallen. However, to his bad luck, Viggo had passed past the cliff and fallen into the fog at the bottom. Kratos grabbed his face and then went to find his axe still stuck in the troll's neck.

Then he went to find his quiver and bow and looked once again at the bottom of the precipice. However, he had little desire to jump, it was more than a hundred meters of fall. However, considering that Viggo was his first disciple and that the old monster had brought to him, he decided to jump anyway. Kratos fell feeling the air pressure and was lost in the mist that covered the base of the cliff.
