Good Instincts 1.15 - ING. VERSIÓN

Viggo and Kratos had passed through the huge gates of the fortress and had been left at the break of the staircase that descended on the left. Ahead there was only a construction made of stone, cold and in darkness. The staircase descended on the left, descended for more than five meters and connected with a corridor that extended for more than fifty meters.

Viggo moved forward carrying his axe in his left hand and approached the stairwell. He looked towards the long corridor at the base of the stairs. In the lower corners, roots and weeds grew, with small patches of snow still unre melted. Viggo breathed and his breath turned into a cloud of steam. The place was icy and full of gloom. However, thanks to the top half of the left wing fortress having collapsed, sunlight was coming in. However, due to the angle of the walls, the light only began at three meters and left the lower part of the corridor in the dark.

Viggo moved forward with his gaze, catching the humanoid figures standing along the corridor. There were four, of cadaveric structure and skin similar to the bark of trees. The four figures, spaced every five or six meters, were standing, inert, as if they were decorative sculptures coming from some worshipper of evil. They all carried a sword and only one of them carried a shield.

-Your challenged- Kratos said, moving forward and standing next to Viggo -these draugrs are different from the others. Many older and more aggressive-

-Do I have to beat them all?-

-Until the last, no matter what number there is in the fortress. However, in the morning I came to investigate and counted ten. So be relieved-

Viggo took a deep breath and looked at Kratos. Be in turn looked at him. Viggo nodded with a resouted expression, as if his soul was prepared to fight anything, and Kratos responded by nodding.

Then Viggo descended the staircase to the left, seeing how the roots were gradually taking over the corners of the fortress. Some broken vases, wicker baskets and other container shapes were also seen lying around. Once he reached the break, he turned right and continued down the next staircase. The only thing that could be heard were his footsteps and the howl of the wind that passed carrying the terrible cold. Two steps from reaching the floor of the long corridor, Viggo took the axe with both hands, ready to fight at any time. Stick his back to the wall on the left, feeling the terrible cold and sticking his head out of the corner. The four draugrs standing along the corridor were motionless, as if they were macabre statues. They didn't even emit that igneous glow through their basins or damaged parts of their bodies. Seeing that everything remained calm, Viggo decided to venture into the hall, took the first step on the ground, and expect some reaction.

Nothing, all the draugrs remained silent and inert. Viggo began to take one step at a time, crackling the patches of snow and leaving his footprints in his wake. He advanced to the first draugrs and when he was one meter away, he took a closer look at the cadaveric aspect. The draugrs still had a chestnut beard, tangled and dirty. The left side of his face retained that touch of humanity, his skin burned as if he had been exposed to fire. But the right side of his face was transforming into something more. His skin had solidified and gave the impression of being a piece of porous bark. On the part of his forehead, had grown tips and gave the impression of wearing half of a wooden crown. On the other hand, his chest was injured and his ribs were visible. However, no muscles, no organs, and no blood were visible. It was just the ribs of the rib box that stood out for their grayish color.

Viggo intended to take the axe and secure a victory. But when he realized that he was raising the axe to attack instinctively, he stopped with a serious look. Then he denied and instead of hitting the axe, he kicked the draugrs in front and threw him on his back. This fell to the solid rock floor and the next instant let out a beastly roar. At the same time, the other three draugrs who were beyond, roared in response. His eyes lit up as if they had blood magma. They began to advance at a slow pace, carrying their swords in their hand. At the same time, the draugr that Viggo kicked at first, stood up.

-Well, this is better- Viggo muttered with a big smile. Then he approached the draugr and was roaring and throwing a horizontal sword. Viggo crogged down, passing under the blade, at the same time, he threw an axe at the knee. The patella creaked as if it were a branch splitting in two and the draugr fell on his knee. Viggo took the opportunity to raise his axe with both hands and while he released a scream, he unloaded the axe on his head.

The axe got stuck in the draugr's head, but Viggo only gave him a small downward blow on the handle, and it loosened. Then take the axe by the handle and the sack of the draugr's skull. Viggo looked forward, waiting for the rest of the draugrs to advance at a slow pace, until the first one reached three meters and jumped throwing a sword. Viggo step under the leaf and at the same time, attack with his axe in the center of the abdomen. The draugr let out a beastly roar and threw another horizontal backhand cut. Viggo crogged down once again and had to let go of his axe that had lyed in the draugr's stomach. It was done backwards and the draugr took advantage of throwing a second cut horizontally.

Once again, Viggo crogged down as if he was boxing, clenched his fist and jumped so that he could reach the draugr's head. His fist flew hard and hammer the head of the draugr. The latter staggered and fell on his back. At the same time, Viggo frowned upon feeling the intense pain in his hand but ignored it and pounced on the draugr's neck. He clenched his right fist and began to punch him until he broke the bark he had for his skin and crushed his senses. Once the draugr stopped moving, Viggo noticed out of the corner of his eye that a sneak attack was coming. He stood to the side and the sword of the draugr fell on the chest of the inert draugr. Viggo rolled on the ground, rejoined, ran, and jumped with his feet in front to hit him on the knee and break his leg. The bones of the draugr creaked, he lost his balance and fell on his butt. Viggo rejoined as quickly as possible, ran to the draugr who still had his axe trapped in his body and hit a slight downward blow to the handle and the head of the axe came loose. Then Viggo tossed it from the body, took it with both hands and with the twist of his torso and shoulders, cut the neck of the draugr who had broken his leg.

-You are trusting yourself too much- Kratos roared from the bottom of the corridor, at the top of the stairs and with the door of the fortress behind him -they come more on the way, be efficient in your movements-

Viggo looked forward and noticed five more draugs coming in his direction. They all looked slow, but he was frightened when he saw two of them twice as big as the rest. Now, the hallway was blocked in front of Viggo. Their only option would be to fight or retreat. However, Viggo smiled, his master was scariest than these monsters. The old monster was the supreme monster among the monsters. At least, that's how Viggo saw Kratos.

Viggo advanced to the next draugr and he was greeted with a vertical sword. Viggo stepped aside dodging the attack, turned on his axis and dropped the axe down the side of his head. The draugr gave a beastly scream and collapsed. Viggo had to hit the handle once again to unlock the axe.

-Try to give blows that weaken your enemy- Kratos roared -you're going to run out of moves if you keep leaving the axe embedded in your enemies just because you want to finish an enemy faster-

Viggo nodded, took a deep breath, and realized he was breathing harder. He advanced towards the draugs and began to incapacitate the weaker, hitting them on the knees and breaking their bones. At the same time, he tried to stay away from the great elite draugrs. Which was 30 centimeters taller, and his physique was powerful and forceful. Instead of swords, they carried hammers and war axes as high as their mighty bodies.

After half an hour of dancing with the normal draugrs, Viggo had reached the other end of the hall. He could see his master standing at the top of the stairs, with his pale skin, red mark on his face, and beard that made him look fiercer. He watched him from a distance as Viggo smiled through gasps. On the other hand, the elite draugrs moved at a slow pace, releasing bestial roars from time to time and trying to attack him with their huge axes and war hammers.

The elite draugr carrying the war hammer was five meters ahead of the one carrying the war axe. The draugr arrived in front of Viggo, who was sweating and panting.

Viggo saw the igneous glow in the draugr's eyes and wondered what had happened to him to make him so prominent. Then, looking at it more closely, notice that the skin of the draugr looked more like natural stone than bark, like the rest of the normal draugr. Realizing this, Viggo tightened his grip on his axe and set out to attack. However, the draugr won him the move. Usually, they were slow, but there were times when they made small quick and unpredictable jumps. The elite draugr jumped forward taking his war hammer with both hands and occupied it in a frontal attack, as if it were a battering ram. Viggo was caught off guard and received the hard blow to his abdomen and was thrown three meters back. Once he fell to the ground he let go of the axe and rolled for another three meters until he stopped and lay face down.

-Boy- Kratos roared

Viggo could hear something big fall on the floor of the hallway and then as someone ran. Viggo raised his head for a moment and watched as the beam of light from the leviathan axe, the original, flew through the air and stuck into the back of the neck of the elite draugr. The ice of the axe penetrated the dead flesh and the draugr remained motionless, with a small layer of ice on its body.

After that, Viggo turned his sight further and saw Kratos throw a powerful punch at the draugr who had the battle axe. Send him around in the air and he fell two meters from the frozen draugr. Kratos jumped two meters and fell with his foot on the head of the draugr. After stretching his hand forward, the axe stuck in the back of the other draugr's neck, flew back to his hand. Kratos took the axe with both hands and threw a powerful horizontal cut. The head of the draugr who was frozen, flew and his body fell to the ground.

-Boy, boy- Kratos shouted, but Viggo felt his strength go away like air and he fell unconscious.
