Soul tendencies 1.61

Those who have watched Fate Apocrypha and seen Semiramis's past will understand after this chapter why these chapters are called "Soul Tendencies". It has to do with a cameo to the demon soul gameplay, but also what the spirits saved by Kiara want.

-o-

Viggo returned to the port and advanced along the footbridge that connected the pier to the mainland. At the same time, he found ten corpses with an arrow stuck in his forehead. Semiramis followed closely, somewhat horrified by the large blood stains that spread over the walkway.

-Are we okay?- asked Semiramis, giving intermittent glances back to know that no one was following them.

-We're fine, my beautiful archer blessed by Artemis herself, liquidate these guys- Viggo said in a loud voice -although it's night, her eyes are incredible and her aim better-

-Not enough words of praise- a girl shouted from the ship, her voice sounding cheerful.

-The action is better, my beloved- replied Viggo with a big smile as he carried the axe in his left hand and with his right hand held the large chest on his right shoulder.

-I'm waiting for you- Sakura replied, leaning over the deck railing, and revealing a beautiful smile. At the same time, she held her bow with her left hand and had an arrow on her right.

Viggo continued to advance until reached the pier. Walked up to the ramp and climbed it as it trembled from the weight of Viggo and the large chest with gold.

-What is that Viggo?- asked Sakura.

-A chest, with a lot of gold- replied Viggo once he reached the deck -Are you alone?

-Yes, I was going to do the first-round while Scheherezade and Ana slept. Then came those guys walking crouching and carrying swords. I felt their bad intentions, so I killed them-

-You did it right-

Sakura smiled and approached Viggo to steal a small kiss. Viggo feeling the soft lips, smiled.

-I'm going to leave this to the cabin-

-Then go, I will continue to take care of the cover. If something happens, I will let you know-

Viggo nodded and kept walking while Semiramis had just reached the deck.

-Did things go wrong?- asked Sakura.

Semiramis looked at the angelic-faced young woman, then looked at the pier and spotted the shadows of the corpses along the catwalk and looked at Sakura again. She found it hard to believe that this sweet-looking young woman was able to kill a man with an arrow on his forehead. However, knowing Viggo, anything was possible.

-Yes, it was wrong- Semiramis replied in a serious tone -be careful when you shoot your arrows from now on. Our crew will come back, and other people will come loaded with fabrics and carpets-

-I understand, I will be very careful-

-Thank you- said Semiramis, let out a sigh and advanced to his cabin. Viggo had left his axe lying on the ground, under the lintel. The door was open, and you could see the candlelight inside. Scheherezade and Ana could also be seen getting out of bed to look at what Viggo had brought. The latter under the chest of his shoulder and leave it on the ground with extreme care. Then he opened it, and the girls exclaimed in surprise at the sight of so many jewels.

Semiramis came to the door, advanced through the cabin, and ignored everyone. She arrived in front of her bed and collapsed on the left side.

Scheherezade caught the creaking of the bed and looked back. Then she leaves Viggo and Ana looking at the jewelry in the chest. She advanced to the bed and lay down in opposition to Semiramis. Both saw each other's faces illuminated by the dim candlelight.

-Did you do too badly?- asked Scheherezade in a soft tone.

-Very bad- said Semiramis in a low tone, devoid of any energy or motivation -it was all a trap to capture you-

-But things didn't work out for the general, did they?-

-Yes, Viggo fix everything at the same time. Now we just must see if we will have to pay a price for killing the general or the other party will have to apologize for trying to capture us. It all depends on how influential Kiara-

Scheherezade looked her friend in the eye and stretched out her hand to hold her hand. Once she touched the fine fingers, she felt as if they lacked any warmth. Then she took her hand and put it against her chest to absorb heat. At the same time, Semiramis looked at Scheherezade and thought about the words the general said. On the one hand, she felt terrible to be despised in pursuit of her friend, but on the other hand, she felt lucky to have her. Thanks to her she was able to go so far, meet the hetera queen and Viggo. Now, Semiramis wondered if she lacked any kind of beauty.

Semiramis felt as if the heat was returning to her body and her eyelids began to descend little by little until, she fell asleep. Scheherezade seeing her so helpless, came over and hugged her. Then heard a few footsteps and looked back. Then she saw Viggo moving in his direction, with his long red hair rocking from side to side and his torso bare.

Viggo went over to bed, took a blanket, and wrapped Semiramis and Scheherezade.

-Rest and accompany her, there have been too many emotions for one night- whispered Viggo. Scheherezade nodded with a smile on her lips. Viggo bent down and gave her a tender kiss on the lips -I'll take care of the rest-

Scheherezade nodded and Viggo turned away from her. Once Ana and Viggo left the cabin, Scheherezade looked at Semiramis who slept soundly and hugged her wanting to protect her. Her friend was always like this, nervous, moody, and haughty, but inside she was such a sweet and kind person that few people could imagine it. When she first arrived at the harem, Semiramis had already been residing in the palace for two years. At that time, she was the prince's fiancée and as he wished to keep her only to himself, he removed her from secular life. At that time, Semiramis was already a woman of cold appearance and strong character. All the girls in the harem repelled her and the prince's mother let her stay alone because Semiramis' family was influential.

On the other hand, Scheherezade had been considered skillful and pretty, but from a humble family. So, she was going to be educated to be a maid and then presented as a gift to some nobleman. That was her destiny, but with natural grace and a voice sweeter than honey, she knew how to win the heart of the prince's mother.

That way, two lonely girls met and became friends.

Half an hour later, the crew returned, and an hour later, the city leader brought ox-drawn carts full of packages of fine fabrics and beautiful carpets. Viggo ordered the crew to load the goods and place them in the hold. Once they were done with their work, they could go back to sleep, but with the commitment that they would have to be back on the boat with the first rays of the sun.

The whole task was carried out quickly and satisfactorily. Once they finished placing everything in the cellar, they closed the floodgates and returned to their resting place. On the other hand, Viggo, Sakura and Ana went to sleep in the Semiramis cabin. They threw a few blankets on the floor and slept hugging.

However, Viggo alone with the eyelids, but he was thinking all night about Semiramis and his circumstances. She was a beautiful woman on the outside, but at first glance she was too stubborn. She anticipated problems and by rushing she sometimes generated other problems. Intelligent, no doubt, but too ignorant of the movement of the world. She wants to do things and follow the rules, but for the rest of the world, the rules are flexible or breakable. Nothing is strict, especially if you lack power or someone influential to back you up. Among renowned people throughout the world, the name Kiara means something, but what about people like the marble merchant in Athens or the linen fibber farmer in the Élide. Kiara said this trip would end with big problems, but for some reason, Viggo doubts that he referred to the situation with the Persian general.

When the first rays of the sun entered through the ventilation slits of the cabin, Viggo felt a few footsteps. He opened his eyes and could see Sakura on his left and Ana on his right. Both using their arms as pillows. At the same time, he looked up at the bed and saw Semiramis naked. She walked over to a large chest where she kept her clothes and put on another black chiton with gold edges. So, when noticed that she was turning around, he closed his eyes.

Semiramis turned her back to the chest and saw the three of them lying in a corner of the stateroom. She saw Viggo hugging girls sideways and with an appearance of being sound asleep. For some reason it bothers her to see him so pleased. Semiramis snort indignant and walked to her bed to sit on the edge. She looks for her comb on a piece of furniture next to her bed and comb her long dark hair. Although she had obtained the fabric and carpets, she felt bitter inside. Furious with someone, but she didn't know with whom. Maybe with the prince, maybe with the prince's current wife, maybe with Kiara, or with Viggo, or with those Spartan girls. She was so furious that she began to pass her comb harder to the point of pulling her hair and causing herself pain. But suddenly she felt a thin hand on hers and stopped. She looked back and saw Scheherezade. She could see the sadness in the emerald eyes and in her expression. Semiramis looked down with embarrassment and Scheherezade took off her comb. Then Scheherezade began to pass the comb with great delicacy from the mollera to the tip of the long dark hair.

-I don't know what's happening to you- Scheherezade said in a soft, reconciling voice -but don't vent to yourself. Hurting yourself won't take away your anger or help you solve your problems-

-I know- replied Semiramis in a depressed voice.

-I don't even know what you want all these things for or why you want to achieve so much business, but I will follow you wherever you go. We are friends, we leave Persia together and die together. That's what we promise, didn't we?-

-I know- said Semiramis, her head down and a smaller voice.

-I, my grandmother said when I was born that I was someone who was born to be loved. When I had reasoning they told me these words, but I did not know what they meant. When they took me to the harem, I thought this was what they meant. However, when I first received the prince, I did not feel loved. It was something so rough that I only remember lying on the bed with a great pain in my crotch. You all said that I was lucky because the prince came to me twice a year and spit out his desire inside me. However, I only felt the misery of being alive. Loved by others, but what about me and my feelings? Can't I choose?... -

Semiramis was left with her eyes lost listening to all the experiences that her friend told her while she combed her hair. Then she remembered how the prince captured Scheherezade and now that she was free, the general wanted to catch her. Every man Scheherezade knew wanted to hold her back, but what about her feelings. That it was useful to live, polish and exist for the good of another if you were unhappy. In the end, her anger at her friend was her inability to accept that the world was not at her feet. Even if she was born in a golden cradle, if she was educated and teaches to one day become the queen of all Persia, there were better people than her. Also, people who suffered more than her.

At the moment they were both women who could go wherever they wanted, but even though they kept doing a lot of business, Semiramis ignored why she did. Perhaps, to justify the protection of Kiara or become as influential as her and one day claim the head of that prince. Regardless of what the reason was, Semiramis was unhappy at this time and felt empty. Then she remembered the first conversation she had with Kiara.

<<-Will you follow the desires of your soul?- asked Kiara

-I don't know what you mean- Semiramis replied that time

-Little girl, don't play dumb. You know what I mean, you would like to have a few poisonous animals, extract the essence of death from their stingers and spread it throughout Persia. You've dreamed and wanted it for months, if not years. You long to see a mountain of corpses scattered all over Persia, just because of that treatment given to you by a prince. Now, the question is are you going to succumb to your desires and follow your destiny, or will you take a new path?->>

Then, once Scheherezade finished combing her hair, she embraces her with the warmth of an older sister. Semiramis was still lost in thought. So, she didn't even know how to react to such a show of affection. Then she stood up and left the cabin. To her right the sun rose above the mountains as the icy breeze coming from the open sea took away any dreamy feelings she might have. On her right, she climbed the steps to the platform and looked south, towards the sea.

From the deck all the sailors stopped their preparations to set sail and stared at her. Everyone remembered Semiramis beautiful, thin, tempting, with a haughty look and seductive lips. However, even illuminated by the light of the morning sun, it seemed as cold and dark as the depths of the ocean. It seemed that she was alone in the world and no one or anything could take her away from that loneliness in a lifetime.
