Strength and Rivalry 1.120

The Ganesha family coliseum had been evacuated almost entirely leaving about a dozen people. Among them were Hephaestus, Freya and Kain, the three most interested in seeing the fight between Viggo and Ottar end well. They looked at the center of the arena of the colosseum, where Viggo and Ottar were standing about five meters from each other. Ottar took his sword with both hands as he pointed it forward. On the other hand, Viggo took the large Leviathan axe with both hands in a relaxed posture, as if he were just carrying it.

Ottar raised his sword above his head while never stopping looking at Viggo. The latter bent the head of the axe as if he wanted to throw an upward cut. Ottar threw himself forward at a breakneck speed that only Kain and his three disciples could grasp. At the same time, Viggo approached their meeting and when both were two meters away, Ottar unloaded a powerful descending cut. Viggo dodged it to the side, raised the axe and discharged it against the sword. A ringing sounded, Ottar frowned as he endured the blow so as not to throw away his sword while Viggo's axe passed by and hit the earth leaving a crater. Ottar took advantage of this and despite the numbness in his hands, he tightened the grip on the sword and threw a cut to the chest. Viggo received the impact in the chest and flew out as if it were a projectile until he hit the wall and crossed it. At the same time, Ottar ran in search of him, and both were lost in the construction under the stands.

For her part, Kain looked at Jason and the others, raised his hand, and they understood the sign. They nodded at the same time and moved at breakneck speed. No one wanted this fight to end badly, but every second was reaching new levels of strength and brutality.

Hephaestus who was next to Kain looked down the corridor under the stands where Viggo initially came out and was now closed with a fence. Then she notices Semiramis standing behind bars as she asserted herself from the bars. Hephaestus frowned and stood up to have a better visual. Then she saw that Semiramis had her head down and her hands did not assert themselves from the fence but were as if trapped preventing her from falling to the ground.

-Kain, Kain- said Hephaestus frightened, patted Kain on the shoulder and then threw his shirt away, -Kain, look- she said insistently and pointed.

-What's wrong, woman?- asked Kain confused by Hephaestus' attitude. He looked at her and then saw where she was pointing. Then he noticed Semiramis leaning on the big fence and frowned. Kain got up, took a quick and powerful jump, and arrived in a moment in front of the fence. Then he approached where Semiramis was and noticed that she was unconscious.

-Damn- Kain shouted

At the same time, Viggo was fighting with Ottar on the other side of the coliseum, below the stands, where there were empty cellars.

-Damn, why can't I cut you- Ottar shouted, brandishing his sword. He seemed really furious because all his blows were useless against Viggo. Even when he was able to place a powerful sword in his chest, he could never make even one wound. However, that's not to say Viggo was unscathed. He kept dodging and hitting Ottar's sword to get him to throw it away. Thanks to this fruitless strategy, he gasped as if he had run for days. At the same time, he noticed that the touki protected him from any outside influences, but not from the impacts that reverberated within his body. In a brief moment of a few seconds, he thought that his touki was imperfect and far from reaching Kain's.

At that moment Viggo hid for a brief moment behind a thick pillar and took a big breath. However, he hears how something moved behind the pillar and his instincts made him feel the scare of his life. He managed to react and threw himself to the ground. At the same time, a metal blade passed cutting the pillar as debris fell one after another. Viggo rolled to the side, stood up and jumped back several times.

-Why don't you attack?- shouted Ottar gasping and just as tired as Viggo. His boisterous hair and the intensity of his eyes made him look even more furious than he was -are you underestimating me?-

-What do you say, Ottar?- roared Viggo as his master would -this is supposed to be a simple training. I don't hate you, why should I attack you to kill-

Ottar for a moment calmed down, took a deep breath, and took his sword with both hands pointing forward -you're right, I may have crossed my line, but if you don't fight with all you might, I'll never forgive you-

Viggo let out a sigh and carried the head of the axe pointing backwards. Then he closed his eyes for an instant, concentrated, and all his blood-red touki concentrated on the axe. Ottar thought he was underestimating him again, which made him furious again and threw himself forward. Ottar raised his sword above his head and when he arrived in front of Viggo, he discharged it while he let out a cry of fury.

At the same time, Viggo opened his eyes, moved to the left, and once he passed the sword, Viggo raised the axe and discharged it with all his strength while screaming. A loud ringing of metals sounded as Ottar's sword broke in half.

Ottar took a couple of steps back looking at his sword and then looked at Viggo. Then he remembered the past and how unfair the world had been. Viggo was always the best, he always had everything, it wasn't fair. Ottar threw out the broken sword and threw himself on Viggo as he roared with all his fury. Viggo dodged the blows because even though Ottar was struggling with all his strength, his mind was confused. Instead of punches, he seemed to throw punches at the crazy.

At the same time, Jason, Odysseus, and Achilles were watching from a distance. Achilles stepped forward to interrupt the fight because he thought he was taking a strange direction. However, Odysseus got in the way by placing his arm in front.

-Leave them- said Odysseus in a serious tone -it is something they must fix-

-If this continues, one of the two will die- said Achilles.

-Would you kill me?- asked Jason as he stood idly by and showed a smile brimming with confidence.

Achilles froze to the question and answered it seriously -never, even if you became a bad person-

-They are the same- Jason continued -Ottar has always wanted to be Kain's son, but as much as he wants to, he has never been able to be. At least, in his mind. On the other hand, Viggo was always everyone's pampered and no one complained to him because he behaved badly. If I'm honest, I don't think Ottar was angry with Viggo for the stupidities he told him. However, he must hold a great grudge against him for everything he said to Kain. Having what everyone wants and despising it as if it were nothing is not an easy thing to overlook. Even I who am old, envied him. Fate gave him everything, strength, body, soul, a good family, resources, everything. Do you remember what we did at Viggo's age?

-Trying to survive in the dungeon- Odysseus said as he frowned.

At the same time, Viggo was still dodging Ottar's blows one after the other. He remained calm and in control, analysing Ottar's movements and mental state. Viggo waited for Ottar to get a little tired and when notice that the muscles were losing volume. Viggo slid under a slap and punched her liver. Ottar froze, his eyes open and an expression of disbelief.

-It's not fair, you always, father, you always- Ottar muttered in a choked voice as he clutched his stomach and fell to his knees to the ground. Then he fell on his side and fainted on the ground.

However, despite the victory, Viggo felt bitter. He crouched beside Ottar as his muscles regained normal mass. Viggo stroked his hair and looked at Ottar with sorrow, not for him, but for the cheerful and shy child he met in his childhood. The two grew up together, they felt united as brothers, but as Viggo initially assumed, Ottar held a grudge against him. Viggo shed a few tears as listen to a few footsteps heading towards where he was.

-What happened to not take yourself so seriously?- asked Jason as he approached.

Viggo looked up, ran his hands through his eyes and tried to smile -it's a difficult exercise- he said.

-Practice it more, that's it- Jason replied as he smiled. He stopped on the other side of Ottar and opened his eyelids. Then he checked his pulse and if he had any wounds -he is fine- said after being sure -he is only unconscious-

-I know- replied Viggo, trying to appear calm -it's just...-

-Only he's mad at you, well, that's normal. When your brother does some stupidity, it usually happens. If you don't believe me, ask these idiots how many times they've been angry with me-

Viggo looked at Odysseus and Achilles and they responded by laughing. It seems that they got angry with Jason more than one. Viggo smiled calmer and looked at Jason.

-Do you remember how Ottar acted when you told him all those things?- asked Jason a little more seriously, but still smiling.

-Yes, I remember, despite what I told him, he didn't get angry. But now he does seem angry- replied Viggo.

-Of course, he is angry, but it is time for you not to take his attitudes so seriously and forgive him. Talk to him, he's your brother, he's going to get angry, but in time it will pass him. So, when you're older like us, you two would be of all these idiocies-

Viggo nodded, then carried Ottar in his arms and they walked towards the sand.

To their surprise, there was only Kain waiting for them leaning on the wall that marked the boundary of the arena. Once he noticed them, he approached Viggo and stretched out his arms, as if asking him to pass Ottar. Viggo handed Ottar over and Kain laid him on the ground.

-Okay, old man, I already checked that everything was in order- Jason said.

-So, it seems, boy- Kain said as he checked his pulse. So, once he was sure that Ottar had nothing, he let out a sigh and raised his hand to cast a golden aura that covered them all and healed them completely.

-And the rest, Dad?- asked Viggo.

-Hera is talking to Ganesha about the reconstruction of the colosseum. Your mother, Tatsumi, Tsubaki and Flora took Semiramis to the doctor-

-What happened to her?- asked Viggo worriedly -was it our fault? Did any piece of debris fall on her or something?-

Kain looked into his eyes with a burlesque smile and let out a chuckle. Then he patted him on the shoulder and said in a good mood -you better hear it directly from Semiramis, good luck boy, you're going to need it-

-Huh?- said Viggo in his confusion. For some reason, he felt that it was not a bad thing, but not something so simple either.
