Valkyrie and Family 2.139

Viggo watched from the edge of the cliff as clouds of smoke raise from the forest, with the constant rumble of explosions and falling trees. He got up from his seat, passed by the lectern that held the canvas where he was painting the Lake of the Nine Realms and stood on the edge of the cliff. The explosions maintained a constant rhythm and from time to time it was heard as a rock was burst scattering fragments above the height of the trees.

Viggo looked at the forest but saw nothing but smoke and trees. He frowned, turned around, and unbuttoned the leather bag tied to his waist. Then he put the lectern, canvas, chair and all the implements with which he was painting. Once everything was collected, he took out his Leviathan axe and trot along the edge of the cliff, always looking at the place where the constant explosions were happening.

Viggo increased the speed, he was looking for some protrusions by the walls of the cliff and when he saw one wide enough, he jumped twenty meters and fell on the rocky surface. Then he clung to the wall and continued to descend. Once he reached the fog-covered bottom of the cliff, continued to run down what appeared to be a kind of river. The marks of the passage of water were still in force on the walls of the sides. The ground was covered with stone while the roots protruded from the flank walls. Viggo made his way through the fog until the walls of the river were lowered until they vanished and gave way to a forest.

From this distance the explosions sounded more disturbing, as if they had the strength of a magic of a level six or seven adventurer. Viggo continued to run, entering the forest and saw how a fireball flew at a great speed and addressed a tall, plump-bodied man holding a hammer. That man threw the hammer against the fireball, the hammer pierced the flames and deformed its structure. The hammer continued its path while the fire of what was once the fireball, dispersed and generated a large explosion. The hammer was aimed at a winged warrior, with white feathers and a golden armor with red tips of an igneous brilliance.

Viggo watched as that winged warrior disappeared for a moment, the hammer passed by, and the winged warrior reappeared a meter away from where he was originally. However, what was terrifying was the hammer continuous with its trajectory, hitting trees and rocks, destroying everything until it hit the earth and left a crater.

Viggo stood behind a tree, at a distance of two hundred meters, where the figure of the two warriors was barely visible. They were silhouettes that fought endlessly. The copper-haired man with his hammer and the winged warrior in the golden armor throwing one magic after another. He was aiming with his hands, generating a rune, and releasing the energy he summoned.

Suddenly the winged warrior took out a metal wand and pointed at the hammer man. The next instant four runic circles appeared and shot in succession: first ice, then water, lightning and finally fire. However, even though this copper-haired warrior was a rounded build, he moved quite lightly and what he could not crush with his hammer, he dodged. He had quite a bit of combat experience, because even though the winged warrior had a great domain of magic and attacked endlessly, the hammer warrior remained calm, making fluid, and controlling moves. Sometimes he just took steps, avoiding magic attacks by the slightest margin.

The hammer warrior seems to have become angry, because he hit a fireball with his hammer, almost at point-blank range. The fireball lost its shape, the fire spread and burst into flames. Everything was covered with fire ten meters around, but the hammer warrior, despite being rounded, emerged from the flames, and jumped almost thirty meters into the air. From that height, he looked at the winged warrior and threw his hammer with all his strength.

Viggo saw that the winged warrior faded just like the previous time and the hammer wrapped in electricity, hit the ground, and smashed everything in a range of twenty meters around. The winged warrior reappeared at the edge of the crater as he pointed his wand at the hammer man.

Viggo watched the hammer warrior fall to the ground and generate a small rumble. He raised his hand and the hammer, nailed to the earth and more than fifty meters away, returned to his hand, as did Kratos and Viggo with their axes.

Viggo took a deep breath, he wanted to see more closely, to know who was facing each other in the abandoned land of Midgar. It was clear to him that one of them must have been the butcher of the Aesir, son of Odin and God of Thunder, Thor But what about the other? Who was so crazy as to challenge the man who tithed the mighty giants Jotnar?

Viggo crouched down and advanced through the forest, hiding behind bushes, stones, and trees. Once he reached the hundred meters, he could hear the crackle of the fire spreading ahead and see more clearly the shape of the two warriors.

The hammer warrior had coppery hair, dishevelled and shoulder-length. He wore leather armor, with a powerful physique, but with a drinker's belly.

On the other hand, the winged warrior wore a golden helmet with red horns and feathers with an igneous glow. His armor was more of a garment, made with gold hides and ornaments. Thanks to that, his slender arms were visible and denoted the width of his hips. Its wings were a pristine white but covered by gold armor that mimicked the shape of the wings.

The winged warrior resumed the fight, increasing the number of runic circles he invoked on the sides of his body. Each runic circle was fired in succession. At the same time, the hammer warrior would hit one magic attack after another and throw his hammer to smash the attack that was on its way and try to hit the winged warrior.

The winged warrior avoided those attacks, disappearing and appearing far from the epicentre of the hammer's impact. Only to then continue throwing runic magics.

The hammer warrior once again threw his hammer wrapped in electricity, breaking trees, and shattering the rocks. It hit a fire magic, leaving a burst and a sea of flames. It continued his advance with divine strength and was to impact the winged warrior. However, and for some reason, this time he could not move away and received the hammer in the stomach. The body was propelled by the hammer, hitting the trees behind it and crashing into a rock.

At the same time, the hammer warrior raised his hand and called his hammer. The gun flew into his hand with the speed of thunder, and everything was calm for a few seconds. The hammer warrior advanced at a slow pace, passing over the fields of fire, pools of water or the ice-covered ground, all because of the winged warrior's constant magical attacks.

Viggo from a distance stared at the scene, feeling that the world had slowed down, and only listened to his breathing and the beating of his heart. He looked at the warrior carrying the hammer advancing at a slow pace, with his coppery hair and his rounded figure. He could almost swear saw him smile. Then he passed his vision to the winged warrior lying on the rock that he had smashed with the force of the hammer and his own body. He was inert, with his beautiful white wings and covered by golden armor, unable to do anything. Just a coarse blow for a wizard, skilled, fast, and powerful to be out of combat.

Viggo continued to listen to his breathing and the beating of his heart, he looked at his left hand, with the shield that his father had given him. It still had that emblem that seemed to be the face of a horned demon. He squeezed his left hand, channeled mana to his shield and the blades were deployed to form a Spartan shield (aspis). He took a deep breath, then looked forward, into the forest engulfed in flames, and looked at the hammer warrior. He was only ten meters away from the winged warrior who was still lying down.

Viggo clenched his left fist with all his strength and the right one reinforcing the grip on his axe. Then he got up, looked forward and started running. Little by little he was increasing the speed until he covered his entire body with touki. However, out of his guesses, suddenly the winged warrior disappeared from the rock debris and appeared behind the hammer warrior.

The hammer warrior stopped, and the winged warrior pointed his wand at him in the middle of his back.

Viggo took the opportunity to stop twenty meters from them and hid behind a tree. None paid attention to him, apparently, they were talking about something.

The winged warrior skewered the hammer warrior's back and shouted at him in a young, feminine, crystalline voice -Where is our queen? Where are they hiding my grandmother? Tell me murderous god and I will deliver you from your suffering-

-Why do you think I'm suffering?- asked the hammer man looking forward as he held his hammer in his left hand. His voice sounded thick and cruel -I'm having a great time. I like to drink, I like to fornicate and above all, kill little shit like you-

The hammer warrior took a quick turn and hit the winged warrior with the hammer on the golden helmet. The latter flew out, colliding with a tree and splitting it in half. He fell to the ground, rolled a couple of meters, and collided with a tree again, only to be left lying on the ground and without his helmet.

Viggo from twenty meters away, saw a long, silver-colored hair fall on a mud pond. This time, the winged warrior was not going to get up. However, now calmer, he wondered if it was the right thing to do. If he were anonymous, Odin would never see him coming. He could attack him from the shadows and kill him. However, if he saved that winged warrior and gained his trust, he would have more hands to fight. He had already seen his strength, versatility, and courage. Not just anyone faced the butcher of the gods Aesir.

Viggo took a deep breath, turned to look across the side of the tree and saw the hammer warrior advance at a slow pace, as if he were enjoying the moment until the great climax arrives and when he is at point-blank range, he bursts his head with the hammer in his left hand. Viggo once again squeezed the axe in his right hand, frowned, and walked out of coverage. He walks at a slow pace, mentalizing in attacking the hammer warrior. Visualizing the struggle and the kind of exchange he would have.

Viggo took the axe with both hands and without using touki, he threw it with all his strength while releasing a beastly cry that reverberated throughout the forest. The axe turned in the air, the hammer warrior turned over, and hit it with the hammer, deflecting the axe. However, the axe did not end up on the ground and instead flew into Viggo's hand.

-Wow, wow, wow- said the hammer man -I didn't know that Midgar was open to foreigners. It seems that you are a little far from your land, right?-

Viggo frowned and put himself in a combat position. He clenched his left fist, channeling mana to the bracelet so that the blades would open, and the shield would be formed. Then he channels mana to the axe so that the head would be covered with ice.
