Orario has lost his champions 2.218

Ottar and Viggo had arrived at the thirty-seventh floor at eleven o'clock in the morning of the second day of the raid. So far, the previous floors and enemies had been a game, a competition between the two to prove who was the best.

The whole place was a combination of extensive wasteland and long stone walls reaching the roof. There were no enemies, no trace of anyone coming in a long time. Perhaps, since Jason and the others came on their last expedition.

Viggo looked at Ottar, a head taller than him, with a stocky body, a serious look, and bear ears on his head. He had on his right shoulder the great sword that Kain had made for him, a weapon strong enough for him to use his full strength without having to worry about destroying it.

-Come on, toss the coin- said Ottar, with a smile brimming with confidence. The other floors had been shit and when Viggo threw the damn coin, he always lost. However, this is when he most wished fortune would condemn him to fight a strong monster.

-Wouldn't it be better for us to do it between the two of us?- asked Viggo with some hesitation as he held the coin they occupied for betting in his right hand. Everything was very still, which was not a good sign.

-Come on, toss the coin- Ottar insisted, frowning.

-Ok, as you like- said Viggo, placing it on his thumb and throwing it into the air. The coin turned a couple of times and began to descend. Viggo caught her in the air with his right hand and flipped her over the back of his left hand -heads or tails?-

-tails, just to keep the streak going- Ottar said.

Viggo shook his head, raised his right hand, and the coin was on the side of the seal, engraved with a valis surrounded by laurels.

Ottar nodded, turned around and looked at the center of the arena. As soon as he advances a couple of meters, the floor manager would rise. A giant skeleton of black color, with red joints and igneous luster in its empty sockets. Ottar began to walk at a slow pace, carrying the ultra-sword over his right shoulder.

-Are you sure of this?- asked Viggo, crossing his arms and watching Ottar advance to the center of the wasteland.

-I'm sure, you just look-

Viggo let out a snort full of disdain and replied -As you wish-

Ottar showed a small smile, continued walking, only listening to the touch of his feet on the ground. A few meters after walking, a slight tremor began to be felt in the area. A hundred meters ahead raise from the ground a left hand made of black bones as if something that should be dead, was raised to claim lives. The huge hand must have measured ten meters from the wrist to the fingertips. After raising his hand, he followed the black bone forearm, the elbow with an igneous luster, and the rest of the arm up to the shoulder. After being dug up, the arm fell on the ground generating a great dust, but it did not stop. Then the other hand emerged and also fell generating more dust. However, the hands positioned themselves to make strength, as if something under the ground was being helped by their hands to emerge. Little by little, long black horns emerged, a human-shaped skull, neck, ribs, until the entire torso of the great floor boss was exposed. Forty meters high, body of black bone and joints shining as if they were spheres with an igneous luster. Empty eyes, but with a red light that frightened the heart.

Ottar smiled fearlessly and ran holding his ultra-sword with both hands. However, he had to jump to the side when a pile of black stalactites the size of an adult emerged from the ground. Ottar continued to run over the side, but black stalactites began to appear in his path, preventing him from getting too close to Udaeus. Ottar avoided being impaled several times and continued to advance until he managed to reach a considerable distance and jump to the head of the monsters. However, the giant skeleton raised his right hand and crushed him. Ottar stood under the black bones, let go of his ultra-sword, and made force with his hands to avoid being crushed. Suddenly he hears the flight of something cutting the air and a metallic ringing of something hitting something very hard.

-Damn Viggo- Ottar shouted from under Udaeus' hand -I told you I could do it alone, don't get into my fight-

-Can you really do it alone?- shouted Viggo raising his hand so that the Leviathan axe would return to his hand.

-I can alone- shout Ottar furiously -get your butt out of here-

Viggo let out a chuckle, caught the leviathan axe and took a long leap backwards to avoid the black stalactites emerging from the ground, as a countermeasure by Udaeus so that Viggo would not throw his axe again and hit it again in the skull. A single blow from the ice-soaked Leviathan axe had left a light layer of ice on the surface.

At the same time, Ottar began to increase the volume of his muscles and in one motion pushed Udaeus' huge bony hand upwards. Then he rolled to the side along with his great sword and the hand fell back where he had been.

Ottar got up from the ground, gave a brief glance to Udaeus who looked at him with that red glow in the sockets of that black skull that he had for head. Then he looked back and saw Viggo holding his axe over his right shoulder. Ottar frowned and ran forward with all his strength. Udaeus again began to erect a defensive wall of black stalactites that extended to Ottar and pursued him to impale him. Ottar continued to jump sideways to avoid the attack and continued running. Then he understood that Udaeus needed to start the attack of the stalactites below his torso so that it would spread in one direction. Each time he failed he had to start a new attack thus deploying an endless number of walls of stalactites that emerged from the ground.

Ottar managed to get close to Udaeus, the skeleton monster raised his huge left hand and tried to crush him, but Ottar jumped to the side and dodged by a small margin. At the same time, Ottar saw the opportunity, tightened the grip on his great sword, and threw a cut at his wrist. Udaeus lost his left hand, but he did not stop and threw another front hand with his right hand. Ottar was overwhelmed by the size of his hand but frowned and placed his ultra-sword ahead to withstand the impact. Udaeus bumped his palm and pushed Ottar for a couple of meters while the latter resisted and uttered a cry of fury. The advance of the hand of Udaeus stopped and Ottar withstood the pressure. Then he saw everything go dark and looked up. Udaeus' huge fingers closed, most likely to catch him inside his hand. Ottar let out another cry of fury, pushed forward with all his might and pushed back Udaeus' hand. However, the attack did not stop, and the monster again launched its attack of black stalactites from the earth, seeking to impale Ottar.

Ottar dodged to the right, jumped forward and when he fell to the ground, he ran again. Udaeus closed his right hand, forming a fist of black bones and threw a punch to crush Ottar. The latter jumped over the fist, let out a cry of fury while holding his great sword with both hands and falling to elbow height, he released a powerful cut that destroyed the union with the forearm.

Udeaus was finished, he only had his ability to create stalactites, which would be useless against Ottar, either because he could dodge them or jump on them.

Ten minutes later, Ottar held the huge purple crystal of Udaeus in his right hand and showed it to Viggo to show him that he did not need his help.

-Let me see, don't be stingy- Viggo said to him with a smile on his lips. Ottar threw it at him and Viggo caught it in his right hand. Viggo examined it everywhere, its purity and brilliance were incredible. Then he looked at Ottar and threw him back. Ottar caught him and kept him inside the ring that Kain had given him. He smiled, stroked his right hand, over the ring and felt happy. Then he looked at his great sword nailed to the ground, brought his right hand to the handle and unnailed it from the ground and then put it on his right shoulder.

-Shall we continue?- asked Ottar

-Of course, we must continue- said Viggo -but a certain weak person made us delay, all because he couldn't with a bunch of bones-

Viggo began to walk ahead while smiling and Ottar followed with a frown.

-You know it was hard- Ottar said angrily -don't talk like anyone could have done it-

-I would have done it in less time-

-Just because Dad gave you those weapons, it's cheating, you have no ability-

-Shall we bet?- asked Viggo without stopping.

-In what way?- asked Ottar.

-I overcome it with my bare hands-

-Come on Viggo, stop believing yourself the best, I thought the years had made you smart. You know it's not possible, well, if it's possible, but it's impossible for you to see it before me. You're cocky, weeping Viggo-

Viggo stopped and turned around while smiling -that's why it's a gamble, airhead. To make it interesting, next time only with the fists How are you?-

-Mmmmmmmmmm, you're fine- said Ottar -if you do, so can I-

-That's the spirit- Viggo said, chuckling and walking ahead -this is going to be fun; I wonder how many times you'll be crushed by that thing-

-Speak for yourself, you are the one who first must defeat him with his fists-

-Don't worry about me, I'll do it-

-There we go again, Viggo will never mature-

-Look who's talking, Ottar, daddy's little boy. You just need to give a kiss to the ring that dad gave you-

-Shut up idiot, it is logical that one treasures the things that your parents give you-

-Whatever you say, Ottar daddy's little boy-

-Shut up, cheese feet-

-Farting-

Viggo and Ottar continued walking until they reached the center of the arena, where there was a huge hole with a spiral staircase that descended into the dark depths.

-Had you gone any further than this?- asked Viggo, looking down the abyss.

-No, I'm even further away than I've gone before- said Ottar, also looking curiously into the abyss.

Viggo looked at Ottar next to him and made a malicious smile -you should be careful of heights- he said and patted him on the back. Ottar who was already holding his great sword on his right shoulder, lost his balance and staggered forward. He let out a scream of fright and fell backwards, sitting on the solid rock surface.

-Damn Viggo- shout Ottar -you almost killed me with a fright, if you do it again, I will kill you-

-Hahahahahahahahaha- Viggo laughed and said -I was also scared the first time I faced such a fall, but believe me, you won't die. Rosewisse already let me fall from a higher height, do you want to try?-

Ottar got up from the ground more curious than angry and asked -Are you serious?-

-Yes, at first, when Rosewisse took me flying, she had fun frightening me with slight movements, but little by little I got used to it. Then one day I tried and with her help, I threw myself from a higher height. Are you afraid?-

-I...- said Ottar looking down, with a clear concern in his eyes.

-Okay, okay- said Viggo, patting him on the back -I was also scared, but with a good layer of touki and natural strength, others that you can withstand this fall-

Ottar looked at Viggo with a frown and said -after you-

-Sure, no problem. I do not worry; I walk with everything necessary in case there is an accident. Also, I have a bottle of Estus-

-I also have a bottle of Estus, but I would not like to occupy it just because-

-Okay, if the worst happens, we will occupy my bottle. Well, shall we?- asked Viggo with a big smile.

Ottar stared at him, shoulder-length red hair, blue eyes, and a sly smile. He hated that sly smile, they always meant trouble, just like when they were kids. Ottar nodded, put his great sword in the ring, and nodded -after you- he said.

-Well- replied Viggo, activated the touki's red aura and approached the edge of the spiral staircase. So, he looked at the dark depths and dropped down.

Ottar approached the shore and watched Viggo fall as his red hair fluttered against the wind of the fall. Ottar took a deep breath, concentrated on his magic reinforcement, and said -If I die, I'll haunt you forever, Viggo- and threw himself into the void.
