The young often made mistakes in the name of love. Christine saw Lynn as a daughter but there were a few boundaries, she couldn't stop Lynn from doing certain things but she certainly advised her. She did the same she would have if it were her son.
"But who was qualified enough to judge another's love?" That seamed to be the justification behind Lynn and Ze Li.
"How could you know that your love was right anyway?" There wasn't a guide to loving that you would use to tell what to do, when or even the right person to fall in love with.
You could say,it can be felt. One could automatically tell they are in love.
What about those who have felt it over and over again only to realize they were incompatible?
Or even those who have never felt love.
When was the first time you risked to love. Thinking carefully, our systems were programmed to take this risk. From the very day we were born,we made emotional connection, our mother or father, siblings or relatives, friends we make later on, e.t.c.
You won't realize you've already fallen into the abyss the very day you started partitioning your heart. A place in your own heart will be divided because of our loved ones. We give them that place because they matter to us, due to our emotions and attractions to them.
Take it as though when you save something for someone and give it to them and they spoil it. The thing was very precious to you but you gave it because you loved them. Knowingly or unknowingly, they destroy it.
We can't be certain that what we hold dear is held dear too by others. The pain is unbearable because we wished we kept it by ourselves.
To one of the definitions of love,"love is blind." It's blind because it knows no age, race or boundaries.
Everything revolving around love is uncertainty. The gamble we choose to take on our loved ones, the chosen ones. Our fellow human kind who err like us.
The choice still remains different to everyone, because despite it all,we love.
We take the gambles, protect the love and spread love around as well.
Lynn was different. She cared for everyone around her without any pretence or consideration to the laws set by society on "class". Her behavior displayed taking people for who they were.
Everyone around her loved her for this but the one special person in her heart felt otherwise. Still, she didn't stop and for years has been working hard and persevering, waiting for the day things change.
Christine was soon left in her house alone after her guests left. Lynn had fainted for a short while after visiting Nichole's grave.
Her general health was bad after the incident that made her lose her memory. She frequently got headaches and weakness which were as a result of forcing herself to remember her memories. It was supposed to come naturally but she had overexerted herself over the years out of impatience. She was tired of waiting.
The short while Lynn had fainted, Christine saw the genuine care the Lee had for Lynn. Lee was worried from the time Lynn suddenly fell on the ground. She kept on saying "do something " till she was assured that Lynn would be okay.
The look Lee gave the old lady before she knew was as though she suspects she had done something.
This alone assured Christine. With Lee around, it would be better. She had feared that Lee hated Lynn. According to the story Lynn told her not many days ago, this young had faced it rough in life.
Also, she was prejudiced because of the girl's father. It's good Lee turned out different.
After Lynn woke up, she went back home with Lee. There was tension between them now and she didn't know why.
When they got home, before Lee went to her room she called her, "Lee, I'm sorry for what happened today."
Lee scrunched up her eyebrows while thinking about what Lynn meant till she realized. She just replied,"no problem".
Lynn saw no smile on Lee's face and an expression that meant I could do the same to anyone.
Lee then went to her room after telling Lynn she wasn't going to have dinner.
Lynn noticed the distance Lee was obviously trying to keep between them. Their little relationship that was forming was now void.
Lee freshened up and changed her clothes and wore her pyjamas. She got her phone and typed,
[Let's breakup]
She lied on her bed afterwards and Lynn's sad look suddenly appeared in her mind. It seemed to remind her to feel guilty.
She had grown to love Lynn in a very short time of less than a day. This made her happy as well as scared her. She feared the burdens that came along with attachments.
You would start having expectations which will be broken eventually.
That's why to avoid further entanglement, she ended whatever was brewing between them.
The truth was she started wishing Lynn was her mother.
Seeing her crying helplessly on her sister's grave was like a wake up call for her. It made her envious that Lynn still loved her sister. She had never experienced her mother cry for her or embrace her with love.
The times she was left alone and fell sick. She wondered if someone would cry if she died. Would she be missed or remembered? She didn't know.
That's why she didn't want to get too close to Lynn. Lynn was someone else's mother. The reason for her attachment could even probably be because she needed a replacement.
She was not capable of loving so she shouldn't break Lynn's heart.
All this while, she had forgotten that she had broken up with someone.
The next few days, Lynn searched for a job. The results for her exams would soon be out and she needed to save up for University. In case she didn't get a scholarship, she needed a job to make more money to use in the University.
