Chapter 9. HERE COMES TROUBLE.

What do you mean by that, Lillian was here a while ago wasn't she? Averly asked, she was fund of asking stupid questions.  She is not ma'am, she has been missing for 4 days now, I suspected the phone call she had with someone the other day. Mal pouted. And you didn't report to me? Averly asked slapping Mal across the face. Am sorry ma'am,  I didn't read any meaning to the strange call. Mal replied still holding her face. You all are useless, what do I do with you all? Get out Averly yelled ontop her lungs. Everyone left the room entirely leaving Averly I'm deep thought. 

Meredith woke up getting off the bed a tremble headache, Meredith smugged like her plan finally paid off after the steam. Meredith still couldn't get up on her feet she was so weak as hell. walking out of the room to her room to inquire about the trash can the voice that spoke sent shiver in her spine. So you're finally awake after ages? Meredith bowed her head, she didn't have strength right now to talk back at Alec. Here comes trouble. I like the way you challenge my authority but one thing is for sure, you can't change it. 

Are you really desperate to leave? Alec asked yes I am, I really don't want to accept the fact that am your property,  I am too good to be someone's property. Meredith replied still backing him, Alec smirked with a wide grin plastered on his handsome face. You find it too good to be true, but it's true after all. You would learn to accept that. Alec said I wouldn't,  I refuse to Meredith wiped. What else do you want that you haven't gotten? I have money to last our generation and you still want more? Alec asked confused.  I don't want your wealth or status, I just want my old life back, I don't want to be betrothed to anyone. Meredith explained looking at Alec. He didn't get give her the faze she wanted, he just stood there hands in his pocket with an expression less face. 

Your old life is gone, and don't pretend as I'd you don't want my wealth and status, that's every girls dream to have luxuries without doing a thing, you should be happy you got it. Alec reprimanded.  Am sorry, that's not my dream, I don't want your wealth.  Meredith defended. Don't lie to yourself wifey. Alec replied. Incase you don't know, I wasn't poor before I meant you, my parents were rich, not as you but....Meredith couldn't finish her statement tears replaced the words. If they were here all this wouldn't be happening to me right now...I we still be their little baby not some one's betrothed. Meredith cried, leaning on the walls for support. Alec walked over to her and wrapped her in his embrace, he knew she wanted it so badly. Meredith cried her eyes out while Alec pat her back lovingly. 

 Why did you starve yourself? Alec asked Meredith in between tears. Am sorry, I just didn't want you to lock me up in there like a prisoner. Meredith replied bowing her head, Alec was staring at her endlessly.  Starving yourself was your only option. Alec asked. He too didn't want to treat her bad,  but she was too stubborn for his liking.  If I've told you, you would've done worst, Meredith told him sincerely.  I don't treat women like property Merri. You're just too stubborn. Meredith chuckle a little showing her adorable set of teeth. I promise to treat you like a woman if you obey me, I hate treating you bad too but you leave me with no choice. Alec said ogling her features, Meredith just couldn't stop glancing at his Hazel green eyes. Alec took Meredith's chin in his hand and slowly pierced his lips to hers. 

Meredith just let Alec take control..... A knock on the door put everything to stop. Alec went for the door, it was Sanjay. Meredith felt weird doing this with Alec but deep down her wasn't regretting it at all. Your mom just arrived,  she wants to see Mrs Eleanor. He said. Tell her we will be down in a minute. Alec told him. Alec turned to the view in front of him, Meredith was fondling with her curly hair. Why does she have to come at this hour? Alec asked himself. He wasn't so happy about his mom's arrival,  they wanted a grand child did they? He was gonna produce one when his mom arrived. Mom is here, Alec finally said facing Meredith with his nake chest, Meredith was finding it hard to breath with this kind of enticing view in front of her. Alec knew the effects he was having in her, he walked to the other side of the bed sitting next to Meredith. 

She wants to see you, Alec completed falling flat on the bed giving her a go ahead look. Reall? you want me to go downstairs alone? That wouldn't be nice if you ask me.  Meredith said getting off the bed, Alec watch her every move. He was so gonna take her down on their wedding night. He just need to control his nerves down before then. Tell her am sleeping or find some else to tell her. Alec snapped really feeling sleepy. You want me to lie to your mom? Which son does that? Meredith asked expecting an improvement.  Every son  should be happy to welcome their mom, get up Alec. Meredith snapped tapping his hands. Alec opened his eyes to see a puppy eye staring at him, she looked super cute. Alright,  Alec whispered getting off the bed. Let's go, he said.

Without a shirt? Meredith asked looking at his abs and sturdy 6 packs. Alec looked at her looking at him, he was used to girls looking at him always but Meredith was giving him goosebumps, Alec wore his shirt.  They walked out of the bedroom. Alec's hand was on Meredith's shoulders,  she was shorter than him so he could rest his hand on her shoulders comfortably. Meredith hand was on his waist as they walked gracefully down the stairs. Mrs Bells stood up admiring them together.  

Oh my babies, you too look adorable, Mrs Bells exclaimed. Hi mom, Meredith said smiling widely her eyes carved into a crescent moon 🌙 you are so beautiful my dear, Alec sure does have eyes for good things. Meredith hugged Mrs Bells,  she treats her like her actual mom. Meredith pants gently. Mrs Bells patted her back. Wouldn't you hug Me mom,  don't tell me you forgot about me, Alec said, Mrs Bells pulled Alec into a hug, Alec saw tears in Meredith eyes, he wiped them lovingly fondling her hair to her ear. 

Mrs Bells took Meredith to the sofa, Alec watched them and wonder what they were talking about. Oh wow, you too were really busy before I arrived. Alec's mom said, she stared at the hickey on Meredith's neck and towards her breast, Meredith shyly used her hand to cover it up, Alec smiled when he knew what he has done. Meredith had no idea, he only knew it was a love bite because she has red it in books and saw them on social media. If she knew he did that she would have wore a tucto neck sleeve to cover it up. He didn't even sat anything about it before they came downstairs. 

Hmmm, no Ma' Meredith replied bowing her head shyly. Call me mom, I am your mom now, Mrs Bells said holding Meredith's hands lovingly.  Meredith smiled. Don't be shy dear, has he touched you yet? Meredith was finding it hard to answer that question.  She was hoping he we come save her, it was as if Alec was reading her mind, he appeared out of nowhere. Are you too now gossiping about me? Alec asked. He dropped the orange juice and  three champagne glass on the table. Can't we gossip about you Alexander? No, Alec replied immediately,  it's embarrassing. Oh really? Mrs Bells asked yea, Alec answered. You and your dad and that son of mine also used to gossip about me. M.rs Bells smirked.  Blame your husband, he always brings you in our discussion,  how is that I and Jacob's fault? Meredith just say there laughing,  Alec and his mom were so close.

I stopped by, because am organising a little get together party before your wedding. I want to see you both at the ancestral home tomorrow,  our close relatives would be there. And your parents should come as well Meredith.  Meredith went still, Alec noticed.  Okay, Alec answered. Mrs Bells kissed their cheeks before leaving. It's okay. Alec said stroking Meredith back, she rested her head on his chest. My parents are dead, I don't want to see their faces. Meredith replied. Alec knew what she was referring to. I know. But you we to endure their faces, after our wedding they would be as good as dead to you. Alec assured. They have what belongs to me, my parents wouldn't be happy if they still possess what is mine. Don't worry about it, you'll get it back, I promise. Alec replied,  Meredith raised her head to look at his face. They both stared at their lips waiting for who would make the move. Alec gladly did. He wanted to take her right there in the sofa but he stopped himself remembering the promise to himself.  He wouldn't touch her until their wedding night.
