Michael picks his ear as he watches the folks from the bus climb out and approaches him, "You shitty cosplayer! You almost killed us all with that stunt!" the girl with unnatural pink hair yells.

He was lucky he'd picked up Japanese from Megumin, otherwise, it'd take a while to learn it like this... Plus, he'd only learn how to insult people.

"Cosplayer huh?" he asks as the girl walks over and jabs her finger in his face. He grabs her arm to keep it away however.

"Yes! You dumb boy with your dumb clothes and dumb face! Jumping in front of our vehicle during an emergency like this!? YOU. ARE. STUPID!"

...

"What's your name?" Michael asks, feeling as if he knew the girl from somewhere.

The girl growls, "Saya Takagi!"

"-Don't hold me back, I'll smack this idiot!" the blond teen says, breaking free of the grip of his friends and lunging at Michael with a punch... Which he lets hit.

*Crack!*

"A-AAA-RGH! MY HAND!" the boy screams at his knuckles that'd broken when they'd hit Michael's forehead.

"Huh, I guess Anime strength isn't a thing here." Michael mutters. He figured that he'd be launched away or something like how you see in a comedy anime, but real life works differently it seems. He shakes his head, "Alright, you guys enjoy yourself now, I've got things to do." he says, marching off towards the group of zombies that were headed their way.

"W-wait! Stop you fool! Do you want to die so badly!" Saya continues, shocked at how suicidal this idiot was.

Indeed, the others watch in both shock and fear as Michael picks up his pace and runs into the crowd of zombies... He punches the first causing its fragile skull to implode into itself, deforming as he leaves a fist shape hole into it.

He strikes another as it tries to grab him, killing it before he sends a kick at yet another. He draws the ebony sword from his waist and speeds up his slaughter, soon leaving a trail of dead zombies in his wake, all while the group of survivors watch in shock.

"W-what the hell is that!?" Rei exclaims, having never seen something like that before... Even the purple-haired sword master Saeko Busujima wasn't that strong.

Saya looks around at the undead beginning the surround the bus wreckage and quickly makes a decision. "Follow the cosplayer! It's the only way out!"

With that, the group chases after Michael, wondering when he'd get unlucky and killed like the many others in this place.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hey Derf, Darth, you got alright after going through the portal?" he asks, having not seen either of them since he'd arrived and started his slaughter.

"N-no! And I'm not going near those corpses! You can't make me!"

Michael shrugs, "Alright, Darth, go around the city and kill as many zombies as possible." he orders since he gains experience from Darth's kills too.

Two hours later :

Michael had lost track of how many zombies he'd killed so far, he'd just walked from the more rural part where he landed and towards the inner city, where hundreds of thousands of zombies were roaming.

The apocalypse had only happened recently, so survivors were still running around like headless chicken, looking for help or a way to escape. Needless to say, spotting Michael cutting through thousands of zombies alone was enough to attract their attention.

Michael hadn't noticed yet, but he had a hundred or so survivors just following his trail of destruction. Not that he really cared, to be honest, he had no stake in this world or its people, so while he wouldn't go around murdering innocents, he wouldn't help them either... After all, he was only here for the EXP.

While each zombie didn't give much individually, there were so many that it didn't really matter. "Hahaha! I should have done this months ago!" he laughs as he cuts through yet more helpless zombies, their slowness making them lamb to the slaughter when faced against him. This was only compounded by his Essence Shift ability that'd stacked to high heavens, making him look like a blur of blades to any regular person watching.

The sky was dimming with Takashi's group, Shido's group, and the other survivors collected along the way still following the trail of corpses left by the strange cosplayer.

"This is impossible! He's been going like that for hours none stop! Even if he was on every drug in the book, he should have dropped by now!" Saya exclaims while the others nod in affirmation. No one present had imagined that someone like this could exist, even now that the apocalypse had started, they still couldn't believe that was real.

"M-Maybe this guy has special abilities or something? I-I remember reading a manga like that." Kohta mutters aloud, his altered nail gun held firm in his hand.

"Just shut up fatso! Like you'd know anything about this!" Saya angrily retorts, but Shizuka speaks up in his defence.

"N-no, he might be right... That person fell out of the sky in front of the bus... Like, from a cloud or something... It went *Whoosh!*," she says, spinning her hands as if she were trying to mimic a tornado, "Then he fell out of it!"

Saya continues to shake her head however, "No! You must have mistaken it for something else!"

Takashi grabs her shoulder and locks eyes with her, "Saya, there's god damned zombies everywhere! How can you dismiss the supernatural being involved!"

She wrenches herself out of his hold, "Because I'm Japanese and a Takagi! Rational and sensible! Only idiots and liars would believe that!"

Takashi shakes his head and gestures at the corpses lining the streets, "Then what's your explanation for this!? Because if you have none, you can't deny everyone else's!"

"NNnnnn..." she grouses, but doesn't answer, knowing that what they were seeing before them SHOULD be impossible!
