Sea Voided

Illococoo and Charlotte quickly lower themselves to Kunkka's Man O' War as Surtr begins ranting about incompetent subordinates, gods, and everything else under the sun... The still hobbit-like blunette hops off of her dragon and steps into the path of the raging Surtr. "I know." she quietly states, promptly slowing the maddened High King.

"W-what did you say?! If know something then say it now, girl!"

Charlotte points a dainty finger over to where the explosion had occurred, "A Void Mage..."

"Void... Mage...?" Surtr parrots, not having a clue what she was on about. She made it sound like being a 'Void Mage' was a big deal or something, yet he'd never heard of it before. He looks over to Rubick who'd turned his attention to the conversation and asks "Do you know anything about this, mage?"

Rubick suppresses his burbling laughter and shakes his head, "Unfortunately not, Michael had hidden many of the most interesting magics from me. It only makes the hunt more-, interesting..."

Surtr's eyes squint at the mention of his foe, "So Michael's responsible for this!?"

Charlotte taps her staff impatiently, she was right there to tell them yet they were talking right over her head. She knew exactly who was responsible for it as she recognised the caster's voice, not to mention their strange talent with all things explosive. "The caster, Louise de la Valliere. Old master of Michael..."

"Old master?" Surtr hums with his anger slowly simmering down, "What does that mean?"

"Familiar... In his words, a slave..." Charlotte adds, "I don't know if she can cast that spell again, it has been years since we met."

Surtr's mind is brought from his thoughts at that, "You mean she could rain down many more of those damned spells!?" he almost shrieks as Charlotte nods in response.

"Is there anything we can do against this!? We can't even approach the island without being obliterated!" Surtr shouts with hints of desperation in his tone.

...

He looks around but no one raises their head... He's about to give up the invasion entirely when he hears footsteps approach from behind him. he turns and spots a familiar yet not, robed man with a permanent stern face behind his strange helmet. In his hands he held a small shield and a peculiar double-bladed throwing weapon.

"I can stop the spell for some time. The rest will be up to you." he states in a deep, almost rasping voice.

"You can stop it? How?" Surtr inquires further, not trusting his and others' lives on some stranger's mere words.

Silencer doesn't seem bothered by the question, in fact he was actually assured by Surtr's restraint and caution. "I have mastered techniques that stop any spellcaster from using magic." he states, waving his hand at Rubick and causing the humming Grand Magus to go completely silent, much to his surprise.

"Hm?... Are you sure this will work? Have you tested it on a 'Void Mage'?"

Silencer nods, "It will, this 'Louise' requires a long chant to cast her spells. I merely need to interrupt her chant, such an act may even kill her from the backlash."

Anti-Mage steps beside him, "But we mustn't tarry. While the mage is incapacitated, we need to get close enough so that another spell like that would cause their own deaths as much as ours."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The navy was on the move again, this time with far few ships and far fewer men to man them. Ravenrock's walls had been reinforced one more, the mages and archers returning to their perches.

Kunkka's boat could all now see the pink-haired robed woman standing atop one of the corner towers, and so Silencer immediately went into action.

Unbeknownst to them, Louise had been forbidden by Miraak to simply obliterate the navy making their tactic futile in its intended goal. Regardless, silencing all of Ravenrock's mages and preventing them from casting spells was still a boon...

"GLOBAL SILENCE!" Silencer's voice shouts and releases a shockwave that deafens everyone... Not just everyone however, everything too. The sounds of waves were vanquished, the sound of cannons firing, the sound of archers firing their bows. No one was able to make a sound, no one except Winterhold's navy, who were still able to cast their spells with Silencer's discretion.

The casting of this horrified almost all of Ravenrock, the mages from Halkeginia, Louise and Josep[h included were baffled by the spell and their own inability to use magic. The dragons were even worse, unable to use even the simplest shout, completely denying them the power their father granted them.

The archers on the walls begin firing as fast as they can, but their arrows weren't nearly as strong as the spell their mages could unleash, allowing the navy to get closer, and closer.

"Ram the wall! Show them that the sea cannot be swayed!" Kunkka commands as the ships barrel towards the wall of Ravenrock.

"No sense in allowing our ride to be scratched! Allow me!" Rubick offers as he jabs his staff at the wall. With his movement, cracks begin abruptly forming across it, quickly smashing an entire section of the wall inwards via heavy use of his Telekinesis.

Behind the broken wall many soldiers equipped in a variety of qualities of gear prepare to take the ground invasion, but Lina just flies over and fires a huge Dragonslave into the crowd, turning many of them to crisps.

What was left of Surtr's troops begin charging forward, but just then, Silencer's Global Silence ends, allowing the Halkeginia mages to start using magic again.

It's then that Surtr learns the difference between Tamriel mages and Halkeginian... The wind picks up around them as water is sucked away from the ocean, fists made of earth punch up from the ground and fire forms above their heads in a swirling mass of death.

"W-what...?"

"FOR THE HIGH KIN-AHAHAHHHRRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!"
