After leading Felix to the designated meeting room, Kaji excused himself, as he went to prepare for traveling to the capital. He thought of telling Ram, Rem, and Meili about the invitation to the capital, he wanted to know if they wanted to go with him. And Kaji decided to go there, either way, he wanted to find some better rings or necklaces for his magic enchantment work. Even though he had a ton of them already, he wanted to find something stronger than some normal, easily breakable jewelry.
Soon Emilia entered the same meeting room, where Felix and Roswaal were sitting while leaving Subaru to do his own thing, even though he wanted to go with her. Subaru looked out the window to see old man Will polishing the carriage while waiting for Felix to return. Subaru decided to go and talk with the old man, he might be able to get some information out from him.
Meanwhile, Kaji was talking with the girls and telling them that an emissary had come to form the capital, and most likely it had something to do with the royal selection.
"So some of us will be going to the capital, do any of you want to go?" Kaji asked while looking at the three girls.
"No, I'm good." Meili said while playing with a small bat-like mabeast.
On the other hand, the two sisters looked at each other, as if communicating with their eyes, before nodding to each other. They looked at Kaji, but before they could say anything Subaru barged into the room.
"Kaji-san, Roswaal told me to tell you to make preparations to travel to the capital." Subaru said, but then realized that everyone else looked at him as if he was the dumbest creature they had ever seen.
"I already did, and did he say who will be going to the capital?" Kaji asked him.
"Yeah, the ones to go by carriage will be Emilia-tan, me, Kaji-san, and Roswall." Subaru reported.
*Tsk* Ram clicked her tongue while looking at Subaru with disdain, she wanted to go to the capital with Kaji too. But she knew that all she needed to do was ask Kaji to take here their latter, so she didn't say anything for now. But then she noticed Subaru looking at her weirdly.
"Barusu, you shouldn't look at a lady with such eyes, one day if you look at someone you shouldn't have, you might lose them." Ram commented, making Subaru shiver all over.

Subaru and Emilia were walking down the street of the capital, while Kaji was cleaning up the house where they will be staying temporarily. And the house was huge. Sometimes Kaji wondered how many buildings did the clown own.
Emilia was holding Subaru's hand while walking, she was doing so to make sure Subaru didn't do anything to himself or others. One might ask why, well the guy managed to fall out of a moving carriage, while his hand got caught on some leather belts leading to him being dragged by the carriage before Kaji stopped it. And now Emilia was worried that he might accidentally do something stupid one again.
After Kaji was done cleaning he decided to go and look around the marketplace, and luckily for him, he found something interesting. He found an ordinary silver ring for sale in one of the stalls, it looked ordinary, and wasn't even all that expensive. But Kaji could sense something was wrong, therefore he used a spell to appraise the ring.
The moment he cast the spell, he could sense some sort of energy inside the ring. He decided to buy it, he didn't know what the strange energy in the ring meant or what it could do, but it was something he could figure out bit by bit with magic. Not to mention if he fails he could ask Beatrice for help, right?
After buying the ring Kaji walked while looking at it trying to probe it with his mana, and while he was doing this he didn't notice as he walked into some alleyway where three thugs were threatening a girl who was wearing a red dress, with black stripes.
"You little…" A fat, but buff thug started speaking.
"Down screw around with us!" A skinny thug with a snake-like tongue spat out, right after his friend.
"Want us to mess up that pretty little face of yours?" A short thug asked while staring at the girl.
"Don't make such a racket commoners. Fools with no character picking fights for the most foolish reasons." The girl said while lifting up a fan and covering her mouth with it.
On the other hand, Kaji was looking at this while standing around ten meters behind the three thugs. He was wondering how unlucky or stupid were these thugs. They decided to try and rob someone like the girl in front of them.
Kaji knew who she was, after all, he had actually seen her a couple of times when he was in the capital, but they didn't interact even once. The girl the thugs were trying to rob was Priscilla Barielle, a candidate for the throne.
Priscilla Barielle's long red blonde hair shines radiantly like the sun itself and flowed through a single barrette before spilling down her back. Her blood-red eyes had a glimmer of strong will that betrayed her commanding personality. Her pale skin was as white as the purest snow and was highlighted by Priscilla's faintly pink lips. She was considered a woman of true divine beauty. A person could spend their entire lifetime and fortune searching for someone as beautiful as the Bloody Bride and still find nobody who could match Priscilla's radiance. Additionally, her dainty figure possessed noticeably bountiful breasts and other shapely features that helped increase her already supernatural charm. She stood at five feet and five inches tall, making her the same height as Emilia.
Priscilla wore exquisite clothing that matched the crimson color of her eyes. The dress she was seen wearing most frequently was an opulent black and red aristocratic dress with wrapped off-the-shoulder sleeves, a wide-hemmed heel-length red skirt, a black petticoat, a large black ribbon with red striping attached to the right side of her waist, and a black flowery ornament with red edging and emerald jewels decorating each petal that was adorned on the opposite side of Priscilla's waist. The dress was also backless and prettified by various emeralds fastened to the skirt. Under her dress, she wore translucent reddish-brown holdup stockings with a black elasticized band at the top. She also wore a black choker, a pair of red high-heel shoes, and a pair of long black fingerless opera gloves. She often carried a crimson handheld folding fan that she stored in her cleavage when not using. Finally, her middle fingers were bedecked with a single emerald ring each, and similarly colored teardrop-shaped earrings dangled from her earlobes. The jewels enriching Priscilla's figure were all of such fine craftsmanship that anyone could tell they were incredibly expensive at a glance.
Just from her attire, Kaji could understand why the thugs chose to rob her, but even so. If only they knew that she was far stronger than them, and she wouldn't even need to try, as her divine protection made her stronger during the daytime. As she had the divine protection of the sun, which increases her strength during the day and increases buffs placed on her. Not to mention what other abilities or skills she had, but the thugs really chose the wrong person to rob.
