Kai rushed, wanting to find his mother immediately. The idea he just had couldn't wait, any minute later and everything could change so he could grasp the chance now, no matter what. 

First he visited the throne room but as expected she wasn't there. Just a few soldiers who looked at him with curious eyes as he stormed out the second he entered. He had no time to be polite, to greet or allow others to greet him. The young prince almost looked like a storm, passing by wildly before he was gone in an instant. 

The last place he visited and the one his mother was actually one was her personal study. She was seated in her chair, her pale elbows touching the wooden desk while her beautiful face was hidden by her palm. She didn't notice him at first, still she barely looked like she was breathing and Kai walked inside, his eyes stuck on her as he placed his hand on her shoulder.
