3: The Burning Village

Upon what looked liked to be where the forest ended.

I said to myself, this is where my adventure in this unknown world begins.

However, my eyes weren't given such a pretty sight. Fire and blood everywhere, bandits slaughtered countless men and women, even children.

I started to feel sick in my stomach, but I kept pushing on and looked for elaine, upon reaching closer to the village I noticed that there was someone up in the sky and believe or not they were in the air and watched the city. I assumed that person had led the bandits to this village but I wasn't sure as to why they would do it.

They held out their hand and in the palm of it, it looked like fire was coming out of it, I just stood there confused they later started shooting balls made of fire down upon the village, it caused many houses and lives to be lost, but I just kept moving forward in my search.

I spotted Elaine in the middle of the chaos helping a child who was on the ground crying, I slowly started to approach elaine and the girl when I saw ... at the corner of my eye a bandit, they ran towards Elaine and the child who was the ground, It didn't seem like elaine had noticed the bandit approaching her quickly and I was afraid by the time she noticed she would be dead.

My breathing slowed down, my vision became blurry and I started to feel lightheaded.

I pressed my hand against my chest

Even though I had just met her I couldn't just watch her die, my knees fell to the ground and that moment everything went dark. I couldn't see anything, shorty after a bright white light appeared, it seemed like numbers, that were going upwards from 85%"Steadily rising to 90%, 95% and then ending at 100% after that all I felt was RAGE.

HOW. HOW DARE YOU. HOW DARE YOU TRY TO TAKE ELAINE AWAY FROM ME

I clenched my fist and grit my teeth against each other

Kill. Kill Them. Kill Them All.

I stood up and pushed my feet heavenly on the ground and made it cracked beneath my feet, I pushed off the ground and flew straight towards the bandit that was about to strike elaine and I drove my fist into the bandit's chest.

I hurl the bandit's body out of the way hand and sent them into one of the burning buildings, I looked at two girls on the dirty ground, tears coming down their eyes, I tilted my head in confusion because it looked like their mouths moved but words didn't come out.

With immense speed I spun around and slapped a ball fire back at a cloak Individual who shot it at me, however, they deflected it.

Since they didn't move toward the ground I decided to take the fight to them. I used magic and made my back morph and extended wings, then pushed my feet heavenly on the surface making it crack beneath my feet and pushed this time going upwards, with the wings on my back I was able to hover above the village.

I kept an eye on my opponent with extreme caution, the moment they relaxed their breathing I charged them and unleashed a barrage of punches, they managed to avoid all of my punches then they started to clap while they backed away.

Streaks of red lines came into my eyes and it only made me want to kill this person more so, I charged at them with the intent to kill, I swung my left hand at them.

They seized it in a tight grip, so I spun back around and heard a cracking sound that came from my left hand however it didn't bother me, using my right hand, I impaled the cloaked person.

I wiggled the cloaked person's body off my hand. I looked down and spotted what looked like to be the rest of the bandits.

It seemed to like that they were going to retreat since their commander was killed however, I couldn't let them off without punishment, right as I tried to go after them.

My body started feeling heavy and I began to lose consciousness... I plummeted to the ground shortly after my eyes shut.
