I'll save you

Carl then pointed at an text that was written on the wall.

Marika started to read it.

We are from different places.

We are all brothers and sisters.

We guard and protect those who live in our lands.

We share the bond and up hold the balance and peace.

Carl looked at her with a baffled look on his face "Can you read ancient language?"

Marika shook her head, 'Aren't those just normal words for anybody to read?'

Carl shook his head, and Richard saw her eyes were that of a dragon.

"Sweetie your eyes changed to dragon eyes."

'Really?'

Richard nodded.

'Then you try it' She said to Richard.

Richard did what she said and he could also read it.

"It seems only Dragons can read the ancient text."

Marika then asked Carl 'Are there any more interesting things to see here?'

Carl nodded "Fallow me."

As they went further in to the ruins they came in to a big room.

Marika looked around and saw 8 statues of dragon standing, as she entered the room she suddenly heard whispering voices speak.

'Look at this poor child'

"She is a broken dragon."

'The future is grim for our kind.'

"She is of two colors, the poor thing will die soon."

'Oh just shut up already!' Marika said in a loud voice.

Richard looked at her and came over to her because she was clearly agitated.

"Sweetheart is everything alright?"

'Be grateful you can't hear them, if you could it would piss you off.'

As the souls of the ancestors kept whispering about her and she couldn't take it anymore.

The words of pity, and disgusted were too much that she transformed in to her final state.

'Shut up!, shut up!, shut up! Who is going to die huh!'

'What do you dead people even know! Go back to your graves and stay there!'

Suddenly a women's voice was heard through all the whispers

'My dear child, don't let their words affect you, they are merely souls who are still lingering out of regret.'

The soul of the women appeared in front of Marika

'They are merely envious of you because you achieved something under the worst circumstance.'

'There will be many battle's to come and many hardships to overcome. But you will succeed and at the end of it all, the thing you long for the most will be there.'

'Don't let the voices of the death aggrieve you, they are echoes of the past.'

The women then whispered something to Marika.

'Now child go back to your husband, he looks very anxious.'

"Yu…ia, Yumaria!"

Marika looked down and saw Richard standing in his 3rd form.

As she was very disorientated she laid down.

Richard stroked her head and spoke soothing words to her.

"It's alright, your fine."

"I'm here next to you."

Marika changed back to her 7th stage.

Carl came in to the room. "Is she alright?"

"Give her a few minutes and she'll be fine" As he kept stroking her head.

"Was she talking to lingering souls in this temple?" Carl asked Richard.

"It seems so… not long ago she awakened her 8th and final stage."

"Her body is unstable because she has only half of her innate magic. But because she was poisoned and was trapped in a body of a child she went to Ignis, then she awakened her 7th stage under stressful circumstances, her life was in danger and she was brought to the temple there. She was able to see an ancestor there who was also a double colored dragon and helped her in her final awakening. I think ever since that day she could see him, she is able to see the souls of any ancestor of any dragon clan."

"As you know Your Highness, seeing, hearing, mending and sending of souls is a trade of the Azure Dragon Clan. It would not be strange for her an Green and Azure dragon to inherited those trades."

Marika got back up again and looked around, she was assessing her surroundings.

"Are you alright sweetie?"

Marika nodded 'Too bad they are dead or else I would have murdered them myself.'

She then looked at Carl 'Carl you're an historian, what do you know of the disappearance of the Blue and Brown Dragon Clan?'

"Well they disappeared during the great war, little is known. But they didn't disappear overnight."

'I don't know if this sounds silly, but that women told me they still exist, but they are trapped somewhere.'

'She said; no light can reach them not the sun or the moon, the rivers still flows underground but the earth and water cannot break through as they are trapped by a magical wall.'

'With the last battle that you face a crack will form and all the clan's shall be free once more.'

Carl wrote down Marika's word. "I'll try and dig up all I can of the great war, maybe there is something I missed and can help pinpoint a location, on where to start looking."

Marika smiled and nodded.

Marika stood up and asked Richard, 'Where are we going next?'

"Let's visit the my ancestors."

'I don't care if they are royal, I'll tell them off once they start nagging at me.'

Richard laughed.

Marika and Richard bid Carl goodbye.

'Call me if you come across some more texts that need's translation.' And she waved him goodbye.

A white dragon appeared next to Carl "Are you sure she is the one who will set the reaming clan's free?"

Carl looked at the dragon "She will, from what is known of her she will help out anybody in need, she already eradicated the corruption in The Sun Kingdom and they are under her watchful eyes."

"But her body…as it is now it won't be able to handle the stress."

Carl's smiled "She already gather a lot of people and creatures to help her to regain what is stolen from her, and it won't be long for her to regain what is hers."

"But what strikes me as odd about her, she practice the sword style of The Moon Clan."

The white dragon looked at Carl "Are you sure?"

Carl nodded, "She uses two swords, she is a dual wielding swords women, but the technics are one of a kind."

The white dragon looked into the distance.

"Do not underestimate her intelligence, she is pretty smart and very quick in the uptake of things."

"Then you keep an eye on her, she is after all the one who is tasked for keeping the balance over the 3 worlds."

Carl sighted "Why am I always the one who has to babysit the youngsters."

"Because your good at it." The white dragon said to Carl.

Marika and Richard arrived at the temple.

'Richard before you show me around could you bring me to where your parents are?'

'If it's too painful then just tell me how to get there, and you wait for me here.'

Richard was surprised at her word, and her concerned look on her face when she asked him if he could bring her there.

Richard gave her a kiss on the forehead, "I'll be fine, because I have you with me."

Marika hugged Richard 'If you want to cry just cry, it doesn't make you look weak at all to me.'

Richard took her hand and guided her to where his parents rest.

Marika placed an offering and then casted a spell, she took out a violin, to be precise it was Sidus violin.

"Are you going to play on my father's violin?"

Marika nodded 'I met him and your mother before, and he asked me if I could play on his violin from time to time, so I'm just fulfilling a request of his.'

'Is it no good to do that here?'

"If anybody is going to say anything, I'll make them shut up. Like William once said the word of a king is absolute but the last wish of an deceased person is something a King can't go against or change."

Marika started to get ready and took a deep breath.

As she started play the sound of her playing the violin could be heard throughout the silent temple.

A few Templar's heard it and knew this sound was the violin the late king, he used to play on for his wife.

They were curious so they came and see what was going on.

When they arrived the saw Marika playing and Richard standing there listening quietly.

The melody she played was one Richard heard her play once before, and after she was done playing she played one more melody, it was so peaceful and soft almost like a lullaby.

After she was done playing she was suddenly hugged from behind and felt a few warm drops in her shoulder.

Marika knew a few people had gathered and said 'Leave us alone.'

"Yes Queen Yumaria."

And the Templar's left them.

Marika stood there and stroke his head telling him to let it all out.

After a few minutes Richard had calmed down.

'Are you alright?' Marika asked him.

Richard nodded.

Marika bowed to them and said, 'I'll will come and visit you every Moon Festival and play for you, my dear father and mother in law.'

Richard hugged Marika "I think they would love that very much."

Richard said goodbye to his parents and took Marika on a tour through the temple.

'This place is so quiet, it's just eerie.'

Richard laughed a little, "Well that's because they think the ancestors would like it that way."

'Maybe I should ask your ancestors if they like it if it were more lively.' Marika giggled.

Marika and Richard arrived at the great dragon room, and Richard opened the doors.

Marika was hit by an immense pressure, 'Could you guys tone it down a notch or do you want to kill the future wife of your descendant.' Marika spoke.

The pressure started to decrease a lot and Marika walked in to the room. 'Thank you.'

Marika sat down under the great dragon statue and started to talk to the ancestors.

They were very friendly towards her and told her they would support her and Richard.

Richard who was still standing in the doorway noticed somebody was coming.

The High Priest greeted him and also had a look inside.

"Is she communicating with your ancestors?"

Richard nodded.

The high priest thought it was fascinating and stood next to Richard listening to her conversation.

Marika transformed in her 7th stage and said. 'As you can see I'm a Green and Azure Dragon, and I don't want to offend you, but is it possible for me to solve my magic problem here? Richard really needs to be here because of the high energy here to support him.'

The ancestors looked in surprised, there was a girl sitting and talking to them and she was of both Green and Azure decent. "Child we would never turn our heads to the plead of a child like yourself."

'Yes, you are a descendant of ours, and we also heard you acknowledged Magna as an ancestor of yours.'

'Honestly we thought we were the only ones who toughed of him that way.'

"But you and the king helped him and even gave him a new life, we are very grateful to the both of you."

Marika smiled at them and a tear fell from her eye.

'Please don't cry child, you are loved by use and we want you and the king to have a happy life together.'

"Child it may be a selfish request of ours but could you show us you final form?"

Marika nodded and stood up.

Marika transformed, and as she did all the ancestors were visible to everybody; who were looking in to the room.

Richard and the priest were both baffled by what they saw.

All the Templar's felt a sudden change in the flow of energy and came to the great dragon room.

In the room they saw Marika standing an being surrounded by the spirits of the past, and showed them how much she was loved by them.

Everybody who looked saw the most beautiful dragon standing in the room and ask Richard "Is that Her Majesty?"

Richard nodded.

"She is so beautiful and she is loved by the ancestors."

Richard smiled at the word's everybody spoke about her.

Marika noticed somebody walking in to the room and she looked up, she saw a priest approaching her.

He bowed to her in respect.

'Don't worry child this man is nothing like the High Priest you met in Ignis.' One of the ancestors spoke.

The priest noticed Marika's sight was focused on the staff and he put it down and slowly walked over to her.

Marika was calm, now that the priest had put away the staff.

He walked all the way to Marika and then sat down under the great dragon statue.

"To be able to meet a dragon like yourself is a great honor to us all."

Marika looked at the high priest and lowered her head to him.

"Even toughed you have the gift of healing you also have the gift of making things visible for people who cannot see the unseen."

"I heard the words you spoke to the ancestors and we shall aid you in retrieving what was stolen from you."

"You are after all the beloved child of the Green and Azure clan and our future Queen, who is loved by our King and the people around you."

The priest stood up and Marika tilted her head towards him.

The priest patted her had.

Marika retrieved the staff and gave it to the priest.

"Thank you child."

The priest started to walk back to the door when he suddenly heard Marika speak.

'The ancestors would like it if it were a little more lively in this temple, they think just like me the silence is to eerie.'

The priest smiled "We shall abide to their wishes."

All the spirit's hugged Marika once more and slowly left one by one.

"Child come again, and let's have a chat sometimes."

'Yes, your always welcome to come here.'

'Thank you, I will come again.'

Marika changed back and got a hug from behind.

"It seems my wife is very loved by the ancestors."

Marika nodded 'They are all so nice, and they will help us to succeeding in retrieving my magic.'

Marika and Richard also left the room.

Richard told her they were heading to a small village.

As they landed Marika and Richard were welcomed with open arms.

"Your Majesty what brings you here" The village elder asked him.

Marika was already exploring and talking to the villagers. The children of the village were inviting Marika to come and play with them.

After Marika was done talking she was playing with the children.

Richard looked at the village elder and said "I'm here to check on how everything is going and if there are any problems."

"Everything is going fine."

Marika then transformed in a dragon and put all the children on her back.

'Sit still and don't lean over or else you'll fall'

"Yes sister." The all said in sync.

The village elder looked at Marika while she took off with the children

"What is she doing? Where is she going with the children?"

"Relax, she will stay close to the village."

Marika was up in the air and circled around the village a few times.

'You see the world is very big, and there are a lot of places you can go when your all grow up.'

"Sister?"

'What is it?'

"Do you think orphans like us can become something great?"

'Of course, but you need to work hard to get there, and it won't be easy all the time.'

'So now that you can see the whole kingdom from up here, is there a place you want to visit?'

One of the children pointed at the castle, 'I would like to see Moon castle one day.

Another child pointed in the direction of Virtus et Caeruleus Viridi "I want to visit Virtus et Caeruleus Viridi, I heard the Queen is a very nice person."

'She is, I bet that when she hears you want to come and visit her county she would be very happy.'

"Really?"

Marika nodded.

'But we don't know how to write…'

'You want me to help you?'

'Will you help us?'

'Sure and once your letters are done, I'll deliver them to the Queen.'

"Big sister you are the best."

Marika started to slowly descends down and landed.

Marika casted a spell and drew a pen and paper from it.

The children looked at her in amazement.

The six children gathered around her and Marika asked 'Who wants to go first? You'll just have to tell me what you want to tell the person and I write it down your words.'

One of the boys started and Marika started to write down his word's and gave him the letter and told him to give it to Richard since he was already here.

She then continued writing one letter after another and the little girl who said she wanted to visit the castle also received her letter and went to Richard and gave it to him.

Two more were for Ignis and two were for her.

'I will deliver your letter, and wait for a reply from King Cillus and Queen Yumaria.'

"But how will they know where to send it to?"

Marika then said, 'I shall ask them to send me the reply and I will bring it to you guys, what do you think?'

The children looked very happy and they all hugged Marika.

"Sister is the best, but why do you help us so much?"

'You really want to know?'

The children nodded.

Marika smiled and said 'That's because I think every child has the right to pursued their dreams and become what they want to be.'

'So no matter how big or small your dream may be, work hard to accomplish it, and if you can't do it alone call for me and I will help you to get to where you want to be.'

The Village elder then said "You companion really likes children and it seems they really like her."

Richard smiled "That's because, her childhood was an unpleasant one, she wants to make sure that no child will have to go through that and by showing them no matter their back ground there is always somebody who will give them the love and support they need."

"Marika! It's time to go."

Marika stood up and the children fallowed her.

'Big sister, will you come and visit us again?'

'Of course, I have to because I need to deliver the replies of your letters.'

All the children hugged Marika, and after that they all hugged Richard.

"Thank you for coming to visit us Moon King, will you come with big sister again?"

Richard ruffled the hair of the boy, "Sure, if you all be good then next time I'll bring a present for you guys."

Marika and Richard waved goodbye to the village and transformed and took off to sky again.

As they were flying to their last destination Richard spotted something he didn't like.

"Sweetie we have to make a small unplanned stop."

Richard made a nosedive down and Marika fallowed him.

Richard landed and saw Spike and Noir were beaten up pretty bad.

He changed in to his third stage, Marika also landed and was checking on Noir and Spike.

When Marika assessed the injuries on both of them she quickly gave then a healing pill and changed back in to a dragon and took them away.

'I'll be heading to the lake first, they are on the brink of death.' She said to Richard telepathically.

Richard was enraged by what Marika just told him.

Marika arrived at the lake and called for Solis and Caelum.

Both Solis and Caelum came down, ' Caelum, you take care of Spike, his injuries are less severe.'

'Solis you go to your father, when I left him it looked like he was going to murder everybody.'

Marika then focused on Noir. She started to treat his wounds.

As she was healing Noir she was slowly showing she was getting exhausted.

After Caelum was done with Spike, he gave his mother 3 quarters of his energy but it still wasn't enough to keep her going to fully heal Noir.

"Mom please, at this rate…"

Marika looked at Noir, 'Don't you dare give up on your life Noir!'

Marika started to cry softly, 'I won't allow you to leave us… DO YOU HEAR ME!'

She then gave him another healing pill. And kept on using her healing magic

Spike came to his senses and saw Marika was struggling in healing Noir.

"Go get the King, I'll try to keep her on her feat for as long as possible… Hurry!"

Caelum gave Marika a final boost, "Whatever she say's when her life is in danger make her stop."

Spike nodded.

Caelum left for The Night Wolf Clan.

As Caelum arrived he saw his brother Solis had his father calmed down.

"Dad!, Brother!"

"Why aren't you with mom?" Solis asked him.

"Dad please you have to stop mom! At this rate… if she keeps going like this she will destroy her innate Magic!"

"Dad please, I can't give her any more energy than I already have… but Noir his injuries are so bad…"

Suddenly two howls were heard coming from Lunar Lake.

Richard looked at The Night Wolf Clan, "You all better pray that my wife is fine or else…"

Richard transformed and took off to Lunar Lake together with Solis and Caelum.

When Richard and theirs sons arrived the saw Marika collapsed on the ground.

Both Spike and Noir were whimpering and pushing her to wake up

Richard was calm, and assessed her body.

He sighed a sigh in relieve, and looked at Noir and Spike "Don't worry, she only fainted due to using up so much energy."

Caelum looked at his mother and saw his father was indeed right.

Suddenly a voice spoke to them, "Let us help her."

Richard looked up and saw a beautiful white stag standing in front of him and behind him several creatures.

The stage bowed to Richard.

"We the inhabitants of the forest and lake like to offer our help and give her our energy so she can wake up."

"But why?"

"Whispers of all over the land told us of an dragon who respects nature and all its inhabitants. And we all witnessed her helping these two and refusing to give up on a life that otherwise would have been lost."

"She went as far as damaging her innate magic, but with our help, we can repair it and help her recover faster."

Richard told everybody to step back and let them help Marika.

All the creatures gave her half of their energy, when they were done the white stag repaired her innate magic and gave her the last little bit of energy she needed.

Marika slowly started to open her eyes and with the help of all the creatures she sat up.

"How do you feel?" The white stag asked her.

Marika looked at the big white stag 'A little dizzy but overall I'm fine.'

Marika then looked at all the creatures that surrounded her and with a gentle voice 'Did you all help me?'

All the creatures nuzzled her or jumped up to her happily and Marika smiled 'Thank you, all of you.'

"The winds had whispered there is a Dragon who saved countless creatures of the forested and even lend shelter to them when they were in need of it."

"You also offered a wolf clan an new place to call home and a new purpose, all in order to keep the peace."

"The little ground foxes in Ignis also don't suffer anymore because of you."

"For you it may seems only natural to help those in need, not everybody is willing to do so."

"You saved two wolfs who were on deaths door, but you wanted to save them even if it would damage you or cost you your own life."

"We witnessed your selfless act and could not standby to watch and see you suffer, since you always help out those who suffer."

Marika smiled at the white stag 'I am really lucky to be loved to this extend.'

The white stag nuzzled Marika "And we are lucky to have a guardian like you."

"We shall spread the word that the child of The Night Forest has woken up and out of danger."

Marika said her goodbyes to them and saw them off.

After they left Spike pounced at Marika and she fell over.

"Thank god you are alive!"

Marika smiled and ruffled him 'Were you that scared…fur coat?'

Spike whimpered a little

'I'm fine now, but I get the feeling Richard is going to scold me soon.'

"Then I will bite him if he does." Spike said to Marika.

Marika laughed 'Are you alright? Do you have any discomfort anywhere?'

Spike shook his head. "Thanks to you and the phoenix I'm all good."

"And I'm sorry about before…You were trying to help me but I acted as a spoiled child. I really want to make it up to you. Or if you think I deserve a punishment I take that too."

'Alright. I give you your punishment…'

Marika gave Spike a big hug, 'Your punishment is that as of today you are my familiar and friend.'

Spike looked at her not understanding but he nuzzled her "I'll take that punishment any day."

Noir came up to Marika and changed in to his human for.

He hugged her and cried a little.

"I'm sorry… because of me… I put your life in danger and I swore to Master I would protect you."

Marika said softly 'I'm glad you didn't give up on your own life, or else I would be here sitting and crying because I lost a precious friend.'

'It's alright now, we're all fine and nobody died today.'

Marika petted the both of them till their anxieties were gone.

Richard came up from behind and hugged her.

'Are you going to scold me and lock me up?'

"No…You saved Noir and Spike and they are my friends. I'm so grateful you saved them."

"But do expect a scolding from Caelum. Because you made him very scared so go and apologize to him."

Marika nodded and stood up and walked over to Caelum.

Marika stood in front of Caelum 'I'm here so you can give me a firm scolding.'

Caelum started to rant on Marika "How could you do this."

"I told you that you were putting yourself in danger!"

"Do you know I scared I was… I thought I was going to lose my mom."

"You even managed to damage your innate magic."

"Next time you better listen to me."

'I'm sorry Caelum, I really am.'

Caelum hugged Marika "Just please don't do this again, at least not until you have your magic back… promise me."

'I promise, and I really didn't mean to scare you to this extend.'

"I know mom."

Solis walked over and lightly slapped the back of Marika's head

'Hey…what did I do to you to warrant this?'

"It's a punishment from me, because you scared my brother."

Marika giggled a little and pulled Solis in a hug.

'Fine I'll take it.'

Solis, Caelum could you take Noir and Spike to Virtus et Caeruleus Viridi.

"Why?" Spike asked.

'Because I don't know what happened, and I don't think it's wise to send you back to your clan for now.'

'Or do you want me to go through same thing that just happened?'

Spike shook his head.

'Good, luckily Luca is not there for the moment.'

"Dante is currently handling things there."

'Just tell him me and Richard send you two out of the safety of your life's, and that if anybody of your clan comes to my country… well he knows what to do.'

Spike looked in shock to Marika "Are you going to be that cruel?"

'Why not? After all they almost killed you and Noir and they even almost killed me. Now what do you think would have happened to the clan if either one of us had died?'

"Spike don't worry, this is the best way to help us out and find the problem in the clan." Noir said to Spike.

Richard nodded.

"Have faith in your new friend." Richard said to spike.

"But what if she is in danger or…."

Marika placed her hand against his chest and whispered a few words.

'You will know when I'm in real danger and when you feel that, you come to my aid.'

'I hope this will set your mind a little more at ease.'

'Now go with my children to Virtus et Caeruleus Viridi and if you're bored just see if there are people you can help.'

Marika and Richard bid the four of them goodbye.

Marika looked at Richard 'You handle this matter after the Moon Festival.'

Richard hugged Marika "I will my love."

Richard took Marika's hand "Let's go and pick some herbs and take a dip in the lake."

'Sure…What's so special about the lake?'

"You'll see."
