Chapter 78: At the dungeon.

"I want the truth this time."

He was sitting on the bed, looking seriously at me. I folded my lips into my mouth and finally decided to tell him, also getting ready for whatever outcome it might cause. I knew there's no way he was going to tell his dad about me and I didn't want to make it seem as though I was a spy.

"My name's not Abby...or Abigail. My name is Elena Wilson." I confessed.

"You're Elena after all. I take it that there was no grandmother." He mumbled and I shook my head. "There was no grandmother. You should have known, unless you've killed one before." I mumbled to myself and he shot me a dangerous glare.

I sat up on the couch, "I've killed a lot of people, both young and old, so it never occurred to me that you lied." He defended. He's horrible at making words seriously. How could he just talk about killing people like it's nothing?.

"And there wasn't a one night stand.." He continued..I looked down embarrassed, "No..not that. I lied."

"Hmm. You're such a good story teller. I almost believed that I fucked someone like you." He looked down at me like I was dirt, "I get it that you're a virgin. That I'll be your first." He added teasingly. My cheeks flushed and my face turned red, is he flirting with me?.

I ignored him, "The people, your people have not been completely honest with you either..and what I'm about to say now would go a long way down."

"I don't believe you." He said.

"What?"

Is Stefan serious right now?I explained how he was captured and how he found me and he said he didn't believe me.

"You don't expect me, do you?. You lied to me about who you are and then I found out that you are my mate, which you are not supposed to know but how you got to know, I completely doubt it and then went along to explain another different story from what you told me and you expect me to believe?."

"Uh...I…"

"Stand up, stand.." He commanded and I quickly stood up to my feet. "Out.." He pointed towards the door..i looked at the door and then to him..

"Sir.."

"Out!!." He yelled and as i quickly ran out of his room.

This is the third day and Stefan hadn't called me in since the last time. I joined the girls in house chores and getting groceries from the market, and also walking out in the kitchen. It wasn't exactly easy for me. Time isn't on my side either, no how I've got to make him remember before Wendy comes back.

Christmas is fast approaching and it is in a week's time, there have been a lot of preparations for the great day. We were in the kitchen, preparing the chicken sauce for dinner. The maids wouldn't stop asking me why their lord Stefan hadn't called me in for three days, I would avoid their questions or simply reply that he didn't feel like it or rather change the topic on them.

"Hello ladies…"

The chief maid called from the kitchen door, we stopped what we were doing to listen to her.

"As you know, everyone is extremely busy preparing for christmas. And the work has increased for all of us. We were asked to sweep the dungeon today, so I'm going to select some of you for the work."

Grace's hand in the air made us turn to look at her, "Not to sound rude, Chief maid. Are men not supposed to do this work?."

"Get ready before noon with the three of you. Back to work now!!." She ordered and walked out.

"That's the scariest place in hill town. I do not like seeing those creepy creatures down there."

Grace murmured out and stomped her feet aggressively on the floor. I'd like to go with them but Cali promised to talk to me tonight. I breathed out and turned back to washing the dishes.

"Abigail.." I heard her call and I rolled my eyes. She is really going to beg me to follow them. I turned and saw both Bosy and Grace looking at me.

"Would you like to join us?. You're the only one strong enough to see those creepy creatures down there." I looked at the other four maidens who were looking pitifully at me, then at them.

"What are the creepy creatures?." I asked them. Grace looked a bit uneasy and Bosy avoided eye contact.

"Do you think we should tell her?." Grace asked Bosy.

"Tell her so she can know what we're up against." Bosy whispered.

She came closer and sighed, "They are Sirens, mermaids, down the cell. They've been kept there since the men brought me up at Hill town."

"I do not think that those things really exist until I saw with my own eyes. They are really deadly but beautiful with fish tails and creepy red eyes." Bosy explained further.

"I do not think I believed you, but I got to see with my own eyes." I responded tactically and turned back to the dishes. Could it be a way for me to see Catherine?. I was gonna tell her that Stefan kidnapped me and let me go and then came back to stop his dad from destroying the world and never tried to make her escape as I promised. But I also have a feeling that the Sirens know what Stefan's dad is planning on doing.

Just when the clock hit 12, we looked at each other. The other two were scared to death and I believe I was only going to see the siren and not anything more than the sirens.

After too many twists and turns and stairs we went down to count. We were at the entrance of the dungeons. I felt an unwelcoming cold draft blow from a barred gap in the door and the dungeon didn't smell too nice either.
