Chapter 80: His possessiveness.

"Is this some kind of joke?." I asked, wide eyed after Stefan told me he brought me out on a date. There was a lingering smirk on his face. He rolled his eyes and called on a waiter.

"Are you surprised?." He smiled.

"I'm amazed. Does this mean you believed me?." I threw a question at him. He scoffed, "You're the most convincing liar that I've ever seen. So..nah. I still don't believe you." My face fell and I turned away.

There, I noticed some guys looking at our table and pointing at me.

There had been few humans in the room so I do not think I'm in trouble tonight.

"Stop thinking of me like that!." I finally said without turning to look at him.

"What did you discuss with them?." He asked. I turned…the waiter wasn't standing beside him and he was staring at me.

"I don't understand.." I stated, looking confusedly at him.

"I asked what you said to the evil creatures."

"And don't think of lying to me." He added in a serious tone.

How the heck did he know that I talked with the Sirens?.

"Not answering?, I see you're testing my patience,mm hmm."

I watched him get out of the chair and walk out. I breathed out and bit my lower lip. This is going to get out of hand. Is he going home or what?. I raised my face, searching through the glass door to see if I could get a glimpse of him outside.

"Hey.." An unfamiliar voice said and I turned. I looked up at two deadly looking men standing before me and another one sitting on the seat where Stefan sat earlier.

I swallowed down spit and looked towards the door to see if I could find him coming back. It's not like I can't defend myself but I do not like hurting people.

"Hey." Their leader finally spoke. I looked at him, smiling like an idiot. He looked dirty, haggard and stupid. He had brown teeth and black lips. Is this the people I'm dealing with right now?.

He smelt awful with a mixture of cigarettes and beer. "You beautiful..girl." He couldn't even make out words properly. Illiterate. He moved his face closer and I shifted back looking around to see if anyone could come to my aid, but you know people were all going about their businesses.

He raised his hand to touch my face and I slapped out his hand, he looked at the others and they roared into laughter, his men were like him, a bunch of foolish men.

Their laughter died down and a slap quickly landed across my face, and a gasp escaped from everyone around me.

"I own this place. You piece of shit!." He cussed and I bit my lips angrily. He raised his hand to slap me again and I shut my eyes expecting another painful smash on my face.

"How dare you?!!." I heard a very angry Stefan ask. He had his hand seized in the air and was looking deadly at him.

"How dare you touch her?." This time, he was growling, then he drawed out a pen knife I didn't know he had with him and stabbed his hand into the table.

I gasped and cowered out of the table. The crying of pains coming out of the man filled my ear. The other guys quickly drew a gun to shoot him and he turned and snarled.

Stefan looked horrifying, he had this raging fire in his eyes and his face was burning hot. His eyes turned to black pits and loud growls kept escaping his mouth.

The men were shifting backwards now as he was walking closer to them, step after step. Then the shock in me was replaced with fear for what could happen to the men."No. Stefan, let them be." I ran towards him and held his arm. He looked at me, and slowly dropped off my hand.

Then,in a flash, he stood in between them with both hands in their throats, they wriggled their legs and made horrible choking noises.

"You've made the greatest mistake of your life!!." He growled and threw them towards the glasses and as their backs hit the glasses and went through it, the sound echoed across the bar and I cringed.

I was unconsciously carried up by Stefan and he walked out of the bar with me in his arms.

Back at the car, he met our punctured tires and groaned, they must have punctured the tire to get back at us. The front of our car was damaged and our side mirrors littered on the ground.

"I smell vampires." He said, then turned and started walking back into the bar. The vampires are really something else. They must have done this when they felt we lost our attention on them.

At the sight of him, everyone stopped and shifted fearfully, even the waiter was shaking visibly.

"You're scaring them." I told him, he looked down at me in his arms, "This is what they get for touching what it is mine."

Then he turned and glared at the man still crying on the table with his hand still pinned to it with a pen knife, the sight was horrible to watch, I quickly removed my eyes and looked at the waiter.

"Any hotel in the vicinity?." He asked.. The waiter pointed sideways with his shaking hand, "Two blocks away."

"Show me."

I didn't know I was almost sleeping in his arms when I heard him conversing with a man and then he walked a few steps. I knew he must have stepped into the elevator and slowly I opened my eyes. I looked behind me and could see the hotel manager looking at us strangely.

I tried to step down but he held me firmly and wouldn't let me go. "Stop making my angel uncomfortable." He scolded the man and the manager looked away.

Soon, he stepped out of the elevator and we walked towards the room, the hotel manager opened the door and we walked in. Stefan finally placed me down gently on the bed. He turned and disappeared into the bathroom.
